His response avoided the main question, which was not whether they have security in place to keep their software from being copied, but whether the MOJO is fully hardware-compatible with the NP-1.

I could rephrase it, but I fear I'd get another half-truth in response.

How about: if I were to license the Ittium H.264 decoder and write software to incorporate it into the MOJO, which is the sort of thing they encourage, would I be able to stream 4K much like the NP-1? Obviously, the interface I'd come up with in an afternoon wouldn't be pretty, and it wouldn't connect to the Ultraflix family of fine films, but could I stream at all, or is there something on the NP-1 board that MOJO lacks?

That something could be a special HDMI connector for 4K, it could be the amount of memory, it could be a bunch of things.

What does the NP-1 have that the MOJO lacks, besides software?
