Industrial production falls, capacity use at 1983 lows By Rachel Koning
Output at the nation's factories fell for a third month, dragging overall industrial production down 0.5 percent in April despite increased output at mines and utilities, according to Federal Reserve data. Capacity use stood at 74.4 percent, the lowest since 1983. Manufacturing output fell 0.6 percent.
