I haven’t researched the modification method that Sirna uses for Sirna-027 but, whatever it is, it seems to be working because the phase-1 results were good.

By the way: according to their latest CC, Sirna is now using siNA’s (no ribose) rather than siRNA’s in their new RNAi programs because siNA’s have much better pharmacokinetics. Sirna claims to own the fundamental enabling IP for siNA’s. Regards, Dew
