Pressure mounted Sunday on Prime Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari to give up his bid for a new term amid anger over a recent surge of sectarian killing that has complicated already snarled negotiations on a new Iraqi government.
The idea behind the recent surge of sectarian killing was to get rid of al-Jaafari. It may then be said Jaafari could not bring order.
This seems akin to a non-US candidate being elected to lead a country who is then denied access to or given extremely detrimental terms to necessary monetary funds by the US, IMF, World Bank, US allies, etc. and then pointed to as being unable to bring the economy of that country up to par.
