There are a lot of folks that think Technical Analysis is just BS. To a certain extent they are right as there are so many TA Amateurs out there now days that think they are TA Experts. From the outside looking in, TA can look pretty bogus I suppose. Heck, even some of the so called Professionals do a pretty piss poor job.

Don't get me wrong. There is nothing wrong with newbies posting their stuff and learning as they go. Heck I've encouraged that process online for almost eight years now. I am talking about the obvious amateurs on these boards with egos the size of a sports stadium that toss out calls and predictions like bird seed. Or, attack and or chastise others that see a market read differently. The only thing that should matter to us, is that we have it right. The market always gets around to letting us know who is right and who was wrong.

I've been using charting since the mid eighties. Fortunately, I don’t have to give back my gains over the past twenty years, just because someone thinks Technical Analysis doesn’t work.

The measure of how well one does using Technical Analysis should never been done by tallying online at-a-boys or how many people-marks one can accumulate. The only score that should matter to any serious trader and or investor is how well the portfolio is growing.

If you are not in the markets to make money, you are not in the markets for real. It is obvious that some on these threads are just fishing for adulation.

PS: We all need folks thinking the market are a particular stock or investment vehicle is going to do the opposite of what we think. If that wasn’t so, there would not be a market.
