I think your analogy has merit. Let’s say you were in the business of selling horse-drawn carriages 100 years ago. Would you:

a) Give your horses an early prototype of Adderall;
or
b) Seek to collaborate with someone in the auto business?

LFB has evidently decided that the correct answer is b). Talecris and Grifols are still thinking about it.
