They could have sold a % of the fuel reformer for the financing.
That wouldn't dilute the stock, just the profits.
About financing ... ... ...
If they are raising enough money to test, develop, manufacture, and bring this product to market in a highly regulated industry, they need ALOT of money.
I think this fluffy PR was put out because the deals required for this project are big and are taking more time than they hoped.
They know investors are getting restless and wanted to give some kind of update.
One thing that makes me feel better about this stock than other pinkies is the fact that the technology is being developed by PHDs at reputable universities. This provides a level of credibility that might just allow them to make the deals they need.
I used to be a research assistant and the project I worked on was cutting edge. The Prof. eventually started a successful company manufacturing semiconductor lasers.
The PR says "manufacturing partner". Dosen't this indicate more than hiring a shop to assimble the parts? It sounds like the manufacturing company is getting a piece of the action. You need to do your DD if you are trading manufacturing resources for a piece of the pie.
Company intentions to sell hundreds of millions of shares was publically declared in their SEC filing form D. Even before that it was well known that they were selling shares. How else can the raise the million+ they need. Penny stocks are always a gamble.
If enough contracts come through they will make it and all the stockholders that bought the millions of shares thay dumped on the market will make money.
Now that they are officially "open" they have to produce revenue. Each shareholder has to decide if the potential out ways the risks of dilution and/or failure to perform.
I believe their concept is sound, they are in a new growing product field, and they have a niche product in the eco-pole that has great potential.
I agree. It's a sub-penny stock. Even with the dilution it has more potential than most.

SAVW is in the ORF listings
Possable answer to why the news is prompting a sell-off:
The 2.2B shares are currenly restricted because the owner owns more than 5% of the company. Once the company has the shares thay can sell them into the market directly. I am not saying they will but the potential is there. Just the fear of that is enough to make some people sell.
This changes nothing for this stock. The 2.2b shares go from a resrticted owner to the company. If anything it means the company has more shares to raise capital with ( to dump on the market if they wish)
Momo players in SAVW now loking for a bigger move. It will likely happen if the company holds off for a few days before dumping more shares.
SAVW is poised to move higher on news. Increased volume indicates swing traders are buying at these levels. The company is raising capital by selling directly to the public and will likely quench any rally after a day or 2. I expect a spike between .0030 and .0050 on good news.
If the company does not release news soon, the price will continue to drift lower.
If they announce major sales contracts, it could reach a penny.

SAVW will be installing an eco-pole at the Washington DC Department of Transportation and at the State University at Stony Brook in Long Island. SAVW announced they will be manufacturing 5,000 eco-poles over the next 12 months. A major selling point for eco-poles besides the amount of energy they save is that they don’t require any hard-wiring, so no connection to a grid by running conduit and expensive wiring.

SAVW prebooked their bigger space at the Lightfair 2012 in VEGAS.

Expecting news this week on the dignitaries that will be attending SAVW’s ribbon cutting ceremony for the 21,000 sq ft eco-hub in Maryland
Mayor of Bladensburg issues letter of intent to partner with SAVW. The mayor plans to put 4-5 eco-poles up on its new generation green parking facility and potentially install 100 eco-poles over the next 2 years all over the town. “
“The creation of this partnership will develop an eco-hub bring about well over 25 jobs in about the Town of Bladensburg community, as well as spur on economic development in the local region”

History from 10-K
Diversified Opportunities, Inc., (the/our “Company” or “DVOP”), was originally incorporated on June 5, 1986 in California as Lab, Inc. and later the same month, on June 24, 1986, changed its name to Software Professionals, Inc. At the time of formation, the Company was authorized to issue 1,000,000 shares of no par value common stock. On October 16, 1992, the Company filed Amended Articles of Incorporation increasing its authorized common stock to 10,000,000 no par value shares and contemporaneously enacted a forward split of 25:1. On January 12, 1994, the Company filed Amended and Restated Articles of Incorporation creating a class of 1,000,000 shares of blank check preferred stock, no par value, and enacting a reverse split of 1:2.77778. On April 20, 1994, following the filing of a registration statement on Form S-1, the Company began quoting its stock on the NASDAQ National Market under the symbol “SFTW”.
During this time the Company was in the software solutions business, developing, marketing, and supporting software products designed to automate the management of computer systems for commercial concerns. On May 21, 1996, the Company filed a Certificate of Amendment to its Amended and Restated Articles of Incorporation changing its name to Enlighten Software Solutions, Inc. On October 23, 1998, the Company's common stock began trading on the NASDAQ Small Cap Market.
During August 2001, the Company filed a Form 15 for the purpose of deregistering its securities. On September 13, 2001, the Company filed a voluntary petition under Chapter 7, in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Northern District of California. On November 2, 2004, the Trustee filed its Report of Distribution and on January 4, 2005 a final decree was entered and the case was closed. As a result of the bankruptcy, we ceased all business operations and have not engaged in any business operations from that time through the present.
On July 2, 2007, Michael Anthony was appointed President, Secretary and Treasurer of DVOP. On or near July 10, 2007, Mr. Anthony filed the requisite documents with the State of California for the purpose of reinstating the corporate charter. In October 2007, Corporate Services International Profit Sharing Plan (“CSIPSP”) agreed to contribute $30,000 as paid in capital to DVOP, the entire amount of which was contributed to DVOP in January 2008. In consideration for the capital contribution, in October 2007 DVOP issued to CSIPSP 225,000,000 shares of its common stock (pre-split, 9,000,000 post-split) representing approximately 97.83% of its common stock outstanding on that date. CSIPSP is an entity, for which Mr. Anthony is beneficiary.
On July 30, 2007, the Company through a series of transactions effectively reincorporated in the state of Delaware, while retaining the capital structure and number of shares outstanding of the previous California corporation. On January 14, 2008, the Company officially changed its name to Diversified Opportunities, Inc. On February 11, 2008, DVOP enacted a reverse split of its common stock on a 1:25 basis and concurrently increased its authorized capital stock to 310,000,000 shares comprised of 300,000,000 shares of common stock, $.001 par value and 10,000,000 shares of blank check preferred stock, $.001 par value. The shareholders of DVOP approved the amendment to the Articles of Incorporation to bring about the name change, reverse split, and increase its authorized capital stock, by consent.
Effective May 30, 2008, pursuant to the terms of a Stock Purchase Agreement dated May 16, 2008 (the “Purchase Agreement”) by and between QRSciences Holdings Limited, an Australian corporation (“QRSciences”) and CSIPSP, QRSciences purchased all of CSIPSP’s 9,000,000 shares of DVOP common stock (“Common Stock”) in exchange for the payment of $650,000 by QRSciences to CSIPSP. The 9,000,000 shares of DVOP common stock constituted 97.83% of the 9,199,192 shares of Company common stock outstanding as of the date of this report. This purchase of CSIPSP’s shares by QRSciences resulted in a change of control. Prior to the closing under the Purchase Agreement, CSIPSP owned 97.83% of the DVOP’s outstanding common stock. After the closing under the Purchase Agreement, QRSciences owned 97.83% of DVOP’s outstanding common stock.
The Purchase Agreement required as a condition of closing that Michael Anthony, the sole shareholder and beneficiary of CSIPSP, appoint Kevin Russeth to the Company’s board of directors and that Mr. Anthony resign his position as a director and executive officer of the Company effective as of May 30, 2008. Mr. Russeth also was appointed the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary of DVOP, effective the same date.
From the 8-K

On April 25, 2011, Diversified Opportunities, Inc. (“we,” “us,” “our” or the “Company”) entered into a share exchange agreement (the “Share Exchange Agreement”) with Sugarmade, Inc., a California corporation (“Sugarmade”), and certain shareholders of Sugarmade which own more than 50% of the outstanding common stock of Sugarmade. Under the terms of the Share Exchange Agreement, we will acquire Sugarmade through an acquisition of all or at least 90% of its outstanding common stock. Mission
SugarMade will be the leading provider of tree-free paper products that are of the highest quality, greatest value and help to contribute to making our planet more sustainable. We will accomplish this by equally representing customer, employee, community, planet and profit. SugarMade fundamentally improves the way the paper industry utilizes natural resources and greatly reduces the carbon footprint created when manufacturing paper products by using agricultural residual fibers. We are focused on creating value for our customers, employees and stakeholders while maintaining a steadfast commitment to our guiding principles.
Vision
SugarMade believes in creating a strong foundation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), a self-regulation of our decision making process. In this decision making process we take into account all effects on the environment, society, consumers, employees, stakeholders and members of the public sphere. SugarMade proactively promotes the public’s interest by encouraging community growth, development, and voluntarily eliminating practices that harm the public sphere. Through the deliberate inclusion of public interest into corporate decision-making, and honoring the triple bottom line, People, Planet, and Profitability, SugarMade hopes to better our communities for generations to come. We believe that through a mutually beneficial relationship between company, consumers and environment we will establish ourselves as a premier supplier of tree free paper products.
Commitment to Sustainability
Sustainability is the premise on which the SugarMade organization was founded. Sustainability can be described as the opportunity to increase the welfare of the natural world through responsible use of natural resources. At SugarMade we produce 100% tree-free paper products by using sugarcane bagasse (the residual from the sugarcane process) and bamboo. By replacing tree fiber with sugarcane bagasse we have been able to substantially reduce our environmental impact while producing superior quality paper products.
Through our process, production, and delivery of our products we are working everyday with our customer, suppliers and within our own organization to reduce our environmental impact. We encourage anyone and everyone to contact us in regards to our commitment to sustainability. Only through questioning are we able to define ourselves as an organization. With this questioning we investigate new opportunities in which we could further define our commitment to sustainability. SugarMade and the individuals who work within the organization are committed to making a positive environmental impact with the products that we supply, which provides an easy environmentally friendly alternative for our consumers.
