Great story!
Maybe no more dialysis in the future.
First heart valves now kidneys.
We must be closely related.
Guessing Greenleaf even more so.
cheers
Doesn't this proof trump the black box?

Whatalane- why hasn't there been a label change?
You said "It has a boxed warning ...."
True enough.....but the evidence seems overwhelming that Lupkynis deserves to be SOC
Why hasn't this happened?
TIA
cheers
Hi RMB,
I have to admit I'm mystified by this situation with AUPH.
Last year was a seeming 'no-brainer' opportunity by buying at $5 and change and letting go between $10-12. I'm not sure what to think at the moment.
Here's why it makes no sense to me:
The experts claim:
There are currently between 160K - 1.5M LN sufferers
The incidence rate of LN among SLE patients is between 50-60%
We know that the average cost to get an FDA approved drug takes years and costs $2B plus
There's a financial graveyard of LN drugs that have failed to succeed and have never made it out of the clinic.
Aurinia has probably spent $2B in total costs themselves over many years to achieve the best LN drug ever.
I find it very strange that the uptake for Lupkynis is truly pathetic as they have failed to gain any real sales traction for the best hope for patients with LN ever.
Curiouser and curiouser.
Despite the discouraging track record to date, I still can't resist continuing to nibble away on this.
Why would any Pharma take huge risks on their likely future failure LN candidate when they could simply buy this and use their marketing muscle to make it a winner?
cheers

Re 'The limitation that surprised me was the recommendation for only those with a eGFR over 45.'
It appears that they are saying no need for voc with moderate CKD.
Is that likely a cost saving measure?
Seems like they're saying "wait until your kidneys are in severe trouble ;i.e.. ready to go on dialysis before spending the $$$ for voc?
If not, what else could it mean?
TIA
Colorblind also? What a record you've achieved!
December 23rd close was $4.53, so GREEN for the year, another Christmas color.
WRONG AGAIN!
At least you are incredibly consistent!
Simply amazing!
Wouldn't that require testes?
Your advice is great, but unfortunately probably not for that person (might be a guy but so fearful perhaps not).
Cheers!
Happy thanksgiving to everybody including the 12.50 guy.
Jess, Your generosity continues.........nice to see such positivity in a 'world gone mad'.
I appreciate your outlook and agree that even that big fat turkey should receive a pardon today!
Cheers!
Happy Thanksgiving to all

What are the odds the chief crab here bails at promised $12.50?
I say ZERO!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL!
CHEERS!
PS- LOOKING REALLY GOOD HERE!
Ganz..... Nice one! Probably lots of references to turkeys, getting stuffed, etc.
Probably no giving of thanks for PG's leadership but maybe some prayers included
Even better, anyone could have bought GRTS a week or so ago and doubled their $$$
You're right- don't sit around bitching about it (colossal waste) ......take some action to improve your life!
cheers!
OT (sort of): ORTX buyout today is interesting.......being touted as a 100% premium (approx) but really is 200% plus since it was $5 just 3 weeks ago and is now $16
Very strange things are happening in bio-land.............never have seen so many companies trading below actual cash levels
Eventually the sector recovery could be explosive (in a good way)
Jess- I get your concern- no posts since June from Benny:
Hopefully he's OK and well
https://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/profile.aspx?user=813030
........just my two cents.
No way those thoughts are only worth 2 cents! Not even factoring in these inflationary times, I say they're very possibly gold, and at the least worth a few $G's.
Thanks and cheers!

Maybe open a window in your clown car- you're not getting enough oxygen to your brain
Sorry you bought at the top amidst the hysteria; that has to be painful
RMB .............arbitrary starting point...........
Arbitrary? Hardly! The IRS doesn't see it that way. You really don't use YTD as a benchmark? Wowser!
The mind boggles!
bikeman- AUPH YTD chart says $5.64 in January
and $9.12 today. Not bad so far
Cosa, I get it. I don't have a problem with it; noted only for accuracy
cheers
He also hasn’t sold a single share ever far as I know.
This source says in the last 12 months there has been 1 insider buy and 5 insider sells (including PG who sold 32,750 @ $8.94)
https://www.marketbeat.com/stocks/NASDAQ/AUPH/insider-trades/
3/2/2023 Peter Greenleaf CEO Sell 32,750 $8.94 $292,785.00
Got that $1 donation ready? $12.50 might be coming fairly quick.
Nice to see during tough market days.
Nice PR piece.....could easily keep it going the rest of the week. Curious where we land by Friday!
GLTA Longs!
RMB.........re where the plane is
from today:
BABYHAIR
4:24 AM
AUPH Plane still in New Jersey. They really are staying for the Holiday! Just a little hop across the pond for Labor Day festivities
Whatever the reason(s) for the rise.......we really need $12.50 ASAP
Definitely too cheap down here!
Cheers!
Here's why we're up.....ST post 6 minutes old:
Buckeye80
Novartis jet is back, buyout back on folks
Or probably the more likely reason is due to the XBI being up due to positive Amgen news
Jess, those shorts might not be as brave as you may imagine.......
According to Fintel: Institutional Owners = 312 total. Of the 312, there are 299 that are long only, and none that are short only. The remaining 13 are both long and short (trading the swings).
With only approximately 16 million shares short, those 13 funds hedging might account for the bulk of that total. The institutions are long about 50 million shares.
Just guessing........
https://fintel.io/so/us/auph
Jess, at least he doesn't have to worry about going to hell.....
Unfortunately (for everyone), he's already in it......sad beyond comprehension.....
I seriously hope (and pray) somehow he finds the way out.
And the sooner the better for all.
But so far, he's not even trying....not even attempting to exert even a minimal amount of effort (that I can see)
I hope somehow he discovers that he is not really living at present and sucks up the guts to find a way out of his misery (with the help of God)
He may be the poorest person I've ever seen on these boards...........he's clearly missing the best stuff of life; joy, love, faith, hope, etc.
Reminds me of a classic Simpsons episode:
https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/old-man-yells-at-cloud
.....we got so close to my 12.50 .....Really?
You don't ladder your buys and sells? You were 12 cents away from 12.50. Are you crazy?
Oh yeah, I forgot......
......we won’t have anymore Auph before the year ends.....
I think you are apt to be dead on......these guys have clearly gotten serious!
Re the recruiter they enlisted........"Korn Ferry Ranked as America’s Best Executive Recruiter by Forbes Magazine
Korn Ferry Also Named a Top Professional Search Firm and Top Temp Staffing Firm
LOS ANGELES, May 10, 2023 – Korn Ferry (NYSE:KFY) has been recognized by Forbes Magazine as America’s best executive recruiting firm. Korn Ferry has received this honor in six of the last seven years, since Forbes and analytics firm Statista began offering the annual rankings. The rankings also honored Korn Ferry as a top professional search firm and a top temp staffing firm.
As covered in Forbes, Statista surveyed 5,200 external recruiters, HR or hiring managers and participants who’ve worked with at least one of the firms ranked by Forbes, and gave them the chance to recommend and assess recruiting and staffing companies.
One has to applaud the new arrivals and new developments here- clearly they are genuine heavy hitters!
GLT the longs!
And furthermore...............consider this:
It now costs (on average) in excess of $2 billion and takes years to bring a new drug from the lab, though all the trials, and finally (if they're fortunate) to the market.
Aurinia probably has invested at least that much already.
Subtracting their cash, the current market cap is only a paltry $1 Billion!
Lots of upside potential!
GLTA
Jess, certainly a mystery!
As Alice said `Curiouser and curiouser!'
Very, very strange behavior.
Might be hard to fathom even if armed with a Masters Degree in Abnormal Psychology!
It could be far worse......KZR now $1.48
It dropped 90%+ in 18 months from $18.
It's worth remembering/focusing on the fact that Lupkynis is a great drug, has a long patent life, has no competition at present, has a lot of cash, etc....
This could double or better in a flash
GLTA
Good July 3rd synopsis of where we're at now:
Aurinia (AUPH) Up on Paving the Way for a Potential Buyout
https://www.nasdaq.com/articles/aurinia-auph-up-on-paving-the-way-for-a-potential-buyout
bikeman- Easy to fix.......send out more boats!
I suspect/surmise that there is a vast multitude of folks out there just "waiting for their ship to come in".
The only flaw being they never sent any boats out.
Perhaps the only thing more daunting than taking a risk is not taking one.
Good luck!
bikeman- Assuming you missed the boat and didn't sell at $30+, it's only about a 340K differential from today's price. So all of your handwringing, whining, crying, complaining since has been a colossal waste. If you truly had the talent, brains, smarts you're always bragging about here you would have put on your big boy pants and forged ahead into other stocks and could have more than recouped your imaginary losses in AUPH, which is clearly a stock you hate.
I've concluded that you are seriously mentally and emotionally ill. If not for ours, for your own sake please get some serious professional help ASAP. You are not living your life to the fullest; in fact far from it.
