“This process involves placing solid spodumene chunks and a solid reactant chemical, such as sodium carbonate (Na2CO3), into a chamber with steel balls.”

Hey Sayona!
Any guesses on how far they are in the red?
$25-35 million.
Valuation $650 - $750 million.
Ooooo.
Big trouble in little gmg?!?!
Hopefully not to big of a detour from the goal.
Elon fires his whole marketing team.
Well duh, there are great marketing teams out there. And unfortunately this team wasn’t great, they will learn from their mistakes and develop better marketing strategies.
Oh well, NEXT!!!

Should market towards solar energy storage.
Shots fired! Shots fired!
“Silicon anodes for example has probably north of 1,000 patent families, who’s to say who owns what? But as soon as someone does, you know they’re going to be hammered by a lawsuit by everybody else who says they own it.”

IN!
Still looking for the sneaky battery company that’s gonna pull up and past the stagnant performers.
“When the pilot plant in Yokohama was announced in 2022, it was still said that it would go into operation in 2024 and that series production would start in 2028 – in both cases, it is now likely to be a year later.”
Solid state is tough, they are a year behind now.
https://www.electrive.com/2024/04/17/nissan-wants-to-build-first-solid-fuel-cells-in-2025/
Battery manufacturers in the states, will ramp up to that 2030 and then really take off to that 2035. And then something happens, new tech, flooded market, or just a downed market. Either way, LG building a battery manufacturing plant is going to be huge for us In the US. We stand to gain a lot from that. Plus QS and AMPX.
I agree.
“Rowan told Reuters he expects “tremendous growth” this year as new models like the low-cost EX30 roll out.”

Do lithium auction prices start climbing?!?!
“Construction would commence following receipt of all required permits, rezoning approvals, and project financing activities.”
A bit mis-understood from the headline.
How much longer than, another year before all permits are received.
The next Ten years, great question, very vague answer. I agree, it is such an unknown.
Lithium will dominate the market that is for sure.
“A hydrogen tank system located behind the 15,000-kilogram truck’s cab holds 175 kg of fuel at 70 megapascals (700 bars) of pressure. Civilian anthropology researcher Lance Larkin at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Construction Engineering Research Laboratory (CERL) in Champaign, Ill., told IEEE Spectrum that that’s enough fuel for the fuel cell to generate 1,800 kilowatt-hours of energy. Or enough, he says, to keep the lights on in 15 to 20 average U.S. homes for about three days.”

Bad move on Terralithiums part. Apparently they missed Marketing 101 at the collegiate level.
LG, pushing their battery facility faster and faster.
What did I read yesterday piedmont has a permit for mining in NC?

Where this belongs is unknown to me, this is worth sharing, because this concept was brought up 7-8 years ago. The Senior Engineer at that time said, this is going to be the way of travel, surpassing gas and electric.
If they can make it cost effective, he’s right. This is the answer to the Green Space.

There are those that understand and there are those that don’t want to be on the path towards a better future, boring.
2nd, I am told old to care about some peoples remarks. My time and energy is valuable.
Auto pop up?!?! There are AI statements to predicted post?
It is really hard to know what China is doing. They are not held to the standards of white paper information(on their SSB’s).
GAC has a cool concept in autonomous technology, be interesting to see it work in Real World scenarios.
Can’t get into the article, they want money.
But from the headline, that is so true.
Semi-solid state battery and true solid state batteries are what is being discussed here.
In terms of Semi-SSB’s. Those are what is in production and being made at the present. A lot needs to be ramped up in terms of mass production. Amprius and QS are the two I am invested in and that’s their first direction.
SSB is tougher, the manufacturing process is almost there and if I am not mistaken QS is the closest in that category. Amprius talks about their advances but there are lengthy processes to sort out.
Idemitsu Kosan, we will never know where they are in their manufacturing of the true SSB.
You have to wonder why, LG, Panasonic, Samsung, EVE, LISCHEN, JGME have never touted TRUE SSB, hmmm, they have been making batteries a lot longer then QS and Amprius.
But either way, those two stand to make a lot of noise when they are in full swing.
Not worth my time, for others maybe.
Here is a link we have used over the years to get data or insight.

Another award.
I want to see revenue, 100’s of millions of dollars in sales. Money.
Are you thinking about taking course?
Jumping on board.
Excited to see how this agreement goes with Exxon.
LEXI, 1st to sign contractual agreements with 2 DLE’s, good for them.
So in another 2+ years we will see production, that will be exciting.
The question, when is that battery in production?
2027, my guess
“The pack offers 360 Wh/kg energy density with 95% solid-state electrolyte, and will be installed in retail EVs this quarter.”
This quarter, holy cow.
https://www.notebookcheck.net/Solid-state-battery-with-record-energy-density-uses-Elon-Musk-s-manganese-for-1200-miles-of-EV-range.822139.0.html
5 min charge gives you a 150 miles, I usually find myself at a gas station between 6-12 minutes.
900K mile warranty, wowser.
https://electrek.co/2024/04/03/catl-launches-new-ev-battery-last-1-million-miles-15-yrs/
DOE saw this as a great resource for US independence.
Good to see they are looking into all the attributes of raw materials to make a rock solid point.
Packing quite the punch on a 40v system, especially Burst Current, 32a at 10 seconds
But….these are liquid not SSB
Mechanical Specifications:
Cell: Amprius 18650
Configuration: 12s2p
https://www.upgradeenergytech.com/product-page/12s-amprius-green-8000mah-30c-800w-dark-lithium-liion-battery
This is why Amprius is going to be hard to beat, given the pack size and charge rate, Amprius is a winner. Actually SSB’s are the winner here until nuclear batteries(storage) is developed in the next 50 years.
The question is, who beats who to market first?
“Prieto’s battery is designed to deliver five times the power density (20C discharge rate) and up to three times the energy density of conventional 2D batteries.”

10C, good luck everyone else.
“We have devised an enduring all-solid-state battery system through a novel electrodeposition strategy,” says Professor Soojin Park, who led the research. He added, “With further research, we aim to provide more effective ways to enhance battery life and increase energy density.”
https://interestingengineering.com/energy/scientists-solve-key-problem-in-solid-state-batteries
That is awesome.
Glad to see CATL and BYD are focusing their research on more than one battery type. Which we know they are, but to have it produced and on the road even better. It will be interesting if they can get the purity of the Na to 100%. Which would significantly reduce the weight that plagues the battery. Carbon anode, separator to prevent corrosion, makes sense.
More GMG shares, understood in your message
Do they stand to make more in their product, knowing the purity.
For a company that cut resources and sought funds, 180’s their sale of product. Their is something behind the scenes they are gearing up for, what is it ALB.
That video sums it up!
Also hilarious.
There are some decisions made in football I do not understand, and we will leave it at that.
DRÄXLMAIER, they are on my radar for the lithium metal battery. One, if they master in the R&D department, will be the winner of any Li chemistry battery.
They installed the 1st Li-Metal Battery in a car. It passed the stress test, but caught fire due to a short.
