Next-gen batteries can double drone ROI 🚁🔋📈
In drones, the battery is not just a component. It is the core of the business case.
Unlike EVs, where going from 300 to 600 miles gives limited benefit, increasing energy in a drone pack can nearly double the value. You get more airtime, longer missions, and heavier payloads per flight.
The single most important choice in battery development? Cell selection.
The wrong cell can limit thermal performance, reduce reliability, or introduce serious supply chain risk. The right cell unlocks better economics, faster deployment, and higher margins.
Companies like Amprius Technologies, Inc. are building next-generation cells specifically for drones. We are working with drone manufacturers to model and evaluate these options in detail.
If you are building UAVs, your battery strategy will define your success. About:Energy can help.

🚀💥Amprius Announces Strategic Manufacturing Partnership in South Korea to Support Global Demand
May 27, 2025 🚀
https://ir.amprius.com/news-events/press-releases/detail/134/amprius-announces-strategic-manufacturing-partnership-in-south-korea-to-support-global-demand
What I'm really looking forward to here is it's my believe that Amprius will soon be bought out by a larger company. I may be wrong because I don't know what the CEO of Amprius is thinking among others that would have anything to do with a buyout.
UN38.3 certification, which is required for the safe air transport of lithium-ion batteries, is expected in this quarter for this cell. This will allow Amprius to begin volume shipments shortly afterward and support broader commercial deployment worldwide.
Dr. Kang Sun, CEO of Amprius Technologies, commented, “We’ve demonstrated what’s possible at 450 Wh/kg with our SiMaxx platform years ago. What makes this SiCore™ cell different and noteworthy is that it brings that level of extreme performance into a cell chemistry and format that are ready to scale with the existing lithium-ion battery manufacturing processes and equipment in the industry. It’s production-ready, commercially available, and already being qualified by customers today.”
The commercial launch of the 450 Wh/kg SiCore™ cell follows the broader introduction of Amprius’ SiCore™ platform in January 2024. That announcement marked the debut of a new generation of silicon anode cells engineered for both high energy and high power in a single format. With the latest 450 Wh/kg cell now entering production, SiCore™ is positioned to support a wide range of high-demand applications across electric aviation, defense, and mobility markets.
Amprius is currently exhibiting at XPONENTIAL 2025, visit them at Booth 3327.

Been monitoring this one for a while now. They claim to have the ‘best’ battery technology out there, my question has been, ok, lets see the sales start to ramp up.
And it looks like its starting. They aren’t profitable, but they are indicating ORDERS are picking up and that’s what Wall Street wants to see happening.
My only question is, IF they aren’t going to target EV cars, how big is this market, how much need will there really be.For if these batteries have any life span, once you sell one, how long before it becomes a ‘repeat’ customer which is going to be important if the market to sell into is ‘limited’.
IE, get that initial surge, but then what…
I suspect that’s why despite the hype, the share price has seen a muted response from wall street.
Disclaimer: monitoring, really tempted, and its not helping that the ‘green energy’ craze/hype is being exposed, which is weighing on the sector as a whole (I track about 33 stocks in this sector and there are many ugly charts now that reality has set in)
But there are a couple that are signs of life Vertical personal ships like EVTL, JOBY… which would
benefit from high power/low weight batteries..
Guess if I am ok with a conservative personal target price of say $4.5 to $5, still be an upside of 50% and my chart for AMPX shows it might be at a decision point, ie, which way to I go next..
Damn, like their efforts, like their enthusiasm and promise... but I like to invest in something that has a NEED and I can see their market repeatability/scope... and its not already 'expensive' based on their market cap (ie, room to conservatively move up)
Ok, lets see what it does 'next'.. dip or break out higher..
Good luck and maybe check out UMAV, a very 'cheap' yet interesting one (I do own shares of this one) and there is a post by SHARKY (5/9 at 1:51 PM) on the UMAV board that has a link to the CEO giving a recent presentation)
Mass Production, Certification, and Availability

To meet anticipated demand, Amprius has partnered with a global contract manufacturing network that provides gigawatt-hour-scale production capacity. The company expects to receive UN38.3 certification—required for air transport of lithium-ion batteries—within the current quarter. Volume shipments are expected to follow shortly thereafter.
The new post that I stickied was done for a very good reason because analysts are showing MAJOR improvement with Amprius Technologies and the company is growing at a much faster pace than analysts predicted raising forecast models for rather extreme growth. This is EXACTLY why I picked Amprius to invest in; I saw huge possibilities with this company despite some saying that they are critical of the company for their own reasons.
Analysts Are Upgrading Amprius Technologies, Inc. (NYSE:AMPX) After Its Latest Results https://finance.yahoo.com/news/analysts-upgrading-amprius-technologies-inc-121001561.html
A week ago, Amprius Technologies, Inc. (NYSE:AMPX) came out with a strong set of quarterly numbers that could potentially lead to a re-rate of the stock. Results clearly exceeded expectations, with a substantial revenue beat leading to smaller losses in what looks like a definite win for investors. Revenues were US$11m and the statutory loss per share was US$0.08, smaller than the analysts had forecast. This is an important time for investors, as they can track a company's performance in its report, look at what experts are forecasting for next year, and see if there has been any change to expectations for the business. With this in mind, we've gathered the latest statutory forecasts to see what the analysts are expecting for next year.
Taking into account the latest results, the most recent consensus for Amprius Technologies from seven analysts is for revenues of US$61.7m in 2025. If met, it would imply a sizeable 86% increase on its revenue over the past 12 months. The loss per share is expected to greatly reduce in the near future, narrowing 21% to US$0.30. Yet prior to the latest earnings, the analysts had been forecasting revenues of US$56.2m and losses of US$0.36 per share in 2025. There's been a pretty noticeable increase in sentiment, with the analysts upgrading revenues and making a favorable reduction in loss per share in particular.
It will come as no surprise to learn thatthe analysts have increased their price target for Amprius Technologies 13% to US$9.50on the back of these upgrades. Fixating on a single price target can be unwise though, since the consensus target is effectively the average of analyst price targets. As a result, some investors like to look at the range of estimates to see if there are any diverging opinions on the company's valuation. Currently, the most bullish analyst values Amprius Technologies at US$15.00 per share, while the most bearish prices it at US$6.00. This is a fairly broad spread of estimates, suggesting that analysts are forecasting a wide range of possible outcomes for the business.
Of course, another way to look at these forecasts is to place them into context against the industry itself. It's clear from the latest estimates that Amprius Technologies' rate of growth is expected to accelerate meaningfully, with the forecast 129% annualised revenue growth to the end of 2025 noticeably faster than its historical growth of 75% p.a. over the past three years. By contrast, our data suggests that other companies (with analyst coverage) in a similar industry are forecast to grow their revenue at 8.1% per year. Factoring in the forecast acceleration in revenue, it's pretty clear that Amprius Technologies is expected to grow much faster than its industry.
The Bottom Line
The most obvious conclusion is that the analysts made no changes to their forecasts for a loss next year. Happily, they also upgraded their revenue estimates, and are forecasting them to grow faster than the wider industry. We note an upgrade to the price target, suggesting that the analysts believes the intrinsic value of the business is likely to improve over time.

Not sure what went wrong on that one..
At todays close, MC approx $343 Million... share price of $3.11.
Be really interested in seeing those 'analyst' reports to see what they are

One of my biggest bitches about the markets for some time now is, there is so much
money flowing into the market that has to be put into anything they can 'find' (and claim
its a good buy), is that the principles/fundamentals have been negated when it comes
to valuing a stock. P/Es can't even be calculated and they are being given billion dollar
MCaps. I am seeing bio stocks still running their PH2, PH 3s with share prices $50/sh or higher,
nothing approved to sell.
Yeah, maybe the problem is me and my reluctance to get caught up in this twisting of
what was, that has turned this market into even more of a Ponzi scheme than it was.
PS: check out TNXP.. 6.3 Million shares, up for FDA approval on 15 Aug for a fibromyalgia
development, thats NEEDED, passed it clinical trials, and the existing developments (last one
approved was back in 2007 timeframe) don't work. Current market cap is under $150 Million..
I'm a thinking $50 sh ($315 Mil Market cap) will be justifiable IF approved (for starters)
disclaimer: do own shares of TNXP.. (they have cash to get into 2026, and they are
authorized to sell shares ATM which they have been doing (which has diluted the target price)
And trying to figure out how many batteries AMPX are going to have to sell to justify the current
