Howie, I'd have to disagree with this..
"Bottom Line: No DGU, no nuttin"
After the Cat Cay deal I started thinking of the larger islands down that way like Aruba, Martinique, ST Vincent and on and on that must have to generate their own power and would produce lots of waste to feed a much larger power plant like Roger has built in the past.
The DGU is a big deal for Cirque but, on down the road, it may be just another part of our biz..
JV, there most likely was some problem with these DGU's that NOC couldn't figure out before they brought in Cirque, imo. Or they needed the Auger Gasifier & Syngas scrubber to make the unit work and pass all test. They'll get it figured out! It's just taking longer than they/we thought. Just hope it happens in my lifetime!!:)
Rapp, "a short span of time" ?? That's what I thought over two years ago! lol.
Hey Phil, is this what you were expecting with that "beautiful round bottom"? I kinda thought you were speaking of something else. :)
Wonder where we are on this list??
Testing and Certification
•Full-scale military and commercial prototype systems built
•Extended duration testing and third party certification
•Air emissions testing and certification
•Military demonstrations and shakedowns
Any bets on if we see a Q Monday??
I think it works and would work well for Cat Cay or anywhere as a independent power source, where a slight change in cycle (RPM) is no big deal. If you have ever ran two or more generators together or generated into another power source, you know that you have to synchronize the cycle. Otherwise they will drop out or the smoke will fly..
I may be wrong about what they are working on but can only think of what a change in the BTU of the gas would do to a loaded genset. Like Bob said a while back, everything you burn will put out a different BTU gas and this has to be compensated for to hold a constant RPM. I can think of a lot of problems that Richard has to solve, to collect the data he needs.
JMO
And that will only happen when Cirque has the DGU perfected. NOC can not afford to sell the military a unit that might, could or should work..
Yup... Carmel comes to mind.. :)
Unless Patrick has something Roger wants. Like a bunch of these units already sold.
Just thinkin out loud..
Through its sales and development agreement with Cirque Energy, Inc., The Laguna Group is marketing the Cirque (DGU) Deployable Gasification Unit through Laguna’s network of contacts and relationships.
What agreement??
Would not that be a material event?
More MM BS?
Makes me think there may be more orders..
Are we halted or just resting up for a run??
Be a great place for another 600kw (or larger) power plant.. Look at all the building waste they'll have..:)
Thanks
This statement by Roger just blows my mind every time I read it.
As we continue to develop the Deployable Gasification Unit technology, it is appropriate to consider the potential market. First, let’s consider the market of existing diesel fueled generation. The estimated size of this market is 650,000 MW’s of diesel fueled generation worldwide. Much of this market is made up of smaller generating units; from 250 KW units to units 1.5 MW’s in size. Again, much of this generation is distributed power units; not connected to a larger grid either by choice or due to their location. As long as there is a carbon based fuel available, a DGU or multiple DGU’s could be utilized to save up to 70% of the diesel fuel required to run these generators.
650,000 MW = 650,000,000 KW and would require appx 867 million combined diesel HP to pull that load.
1 HP takes 1.39 gal of diesel per day @ 3/4 load. 867mm HP = 1.2 billion gals of fuel per day and at around 4 bucks per gal, that's a lot of dough..
Anyone good at math correct if I'm wrong..
Opps, forgot the links..

Two power plants and a DGU contract should fulfill your dreams.. :)
Yup, I seen that.
I made a comment last year when this came out that there should have been a certain number of shares for wages rather than dollar amount.
Still think NOC has a strangle hold on us until a military contract is signed. We'll see..
We know they have them if they're testing them.. A picture of one on their website, without any technical chit, would work wonders among investors..
But, I guess with this team that would be too much to ask. They are working for shares and getting a hell of a lot more for their wages at this price. jmo.
When are the financials due?
TIA
LOL Ice, that bs flag didn't bother me at all because it was 2nd or 3rd hand info and I knew it could be.
It wasn't that two of the units were already there, was it??lol.
You know you get slammed for posting on this board what you hear, don't you? Best to just keep any info to yourself, IMO.
OK, I'll bite..
If everyone knew what??
Is BKRT back?? tia.
Still think there may be a NDA in effect until NOC has a military contract in hand. jmo.
R U tryin to tell everyone we think this is a good stock with great management and should do well?? :)
.0057 over .0043 is reason enough to do that!! lol.
Dang, a million share buy just hit.. Was that you avg'ing down?? :)
This be a "Magic" stock! It made 70.45% of my investment "Vanish"! :(
There ya go.. Now all we need is a $50,000,000 grant to get started!!! Go get'um Roger..:)
I'd guess that these units are already built or being built. These folks don't need all this testing, it's the Gov that wants all the test data, imo..
Dang, I was short!! Story of my life.. hehehe
528 gal per day @ half load = a pile of money for Cirque per yr..
Is that per hr????
Phil, you got me to wondering about my numbers, lol. The old rule of thumb is 3/4 kw to 1 hp. So I looked it up and it's not far off.
1 hp(I) = 745.699872 W = 0.745699872 kW
http://www.rapidtables.com/convert/power/kw-to-hp.htm
The amount of fuel comes from 2 3406B cats (850hp) compounded together on a draw works. That's old school though, lol.
I guess if you're rich enough to afford a home on one of these islands you could afford enormous energy cost.. Man, I thought mine was bad, lol.
I get the feeling from reading this PR that Cirque is setting up a mini power company that these rich folks don't want to fool with. Just my thoughts.
Gotta admit, a hundred or so of these on the side would be nice.. :)
Wonder how much solid waste a small island like Cat Cay produces every day? A 600 kw generator requires around 800 hp at full load and that would be around 400 gal of diesel per day. Don't know what their cost is on diesel but, I'd bet with shipping it would be around 5 bucks.
If they can cut their cost by even 50%, that's a pile of money over 25 yrs..
_________________________________________________________________
The operation will process the island’s solid waste into syngas fuel using Cirque’s gasification and cleanup technology to offset diesel fuel to power an engine generator set.
And..
The JDA tentatively calls for Cirque to provide a 600 kW dual-fuel generator, a deployable gasification unit module, and a fuel handling module. The facility will be designed, constructed, operated and maintained by Cirque and can provide in excess of 25 years of service.
Someone/s is soaking up a lot of shares.. Folks on this board are picking up some nice chunks at a great price, but, 10's of millions. I'd have to have a lot more info than I do now to do that..
Yup, they forgot to say it was said/stated by Roger..
If they told us all they know, we might buy sum!!
If we got word of Cirque buying a few biomass plants or that the DGU's were now on the market, it would be better.. :)
Good to see that "Big Money" is investing more in our little gem!! :)
