This statement by Roger just blows my mind every time I read it.

As we continue to develop the Deployable Gasification Unit technology, it is appropriate to consider the potential market. First, let’s consider the market of existing diesel fueled generation. The estimated size of this market is 650,000 MW’s of diesel fueled generation worldwide. Much of this market is made up of smaller generating units; from 250 KW units to units 1.5 MW’s in size. Again, much of this generation is distributed power units; not connected to a larger grid either by choice or due to their location. As long as there is a carbon based fuel available, a DGU or multiple DGU’s could be utilized to save up to 70% of the diesel fuel required to run these generators.

650,000 MW = 650,000,000 KW and would require appx 867 million combined diesel HP to pull that load.
1 HP takes 1.39 gal of diesel per day @ 3/4 load. 867mm HP = 1.2 billion gals of fuel per day and at around 4 bucks per gal, that's a lot of dough..

Anyone good at math correct if I'm wrong..

Opps, forgot the links..
