Wonder how much solid waste a small island like Cat Cay produces every day? A 600 kw generator requires around 800 hp at full load and that would be around 400 gal of diesel per day. Don't know what their cost is on diesel but, I'd bet with shipping it would be around 5 bucks.
If they can cut their cost by even 50%, that's a pile of money over 25 yrs..

The operation will process the island’s solid waste into syngas fuel using Cirque’s gasification and cleanup technology to offset diesel fuel to power an engine generator set.
And..
The JDA tentatively calls for Cirque to provide a 600 kW dual-fuel generator, a deployable gasification unit module, and a fuel handling module. The facility will be designed, constructed, operated and maintained by Cirque and can provide in excess of 25 years of service.
