In the past you could blame Klaus, Uli, Joe for using deceptive
tactics. I am sure this isn't Globetel being the problem. They are honorable and only posted the photos that were sent to them. They need to find a trustworthy partner....LOL
Owl the original post made where the response you replied to:
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.asp?message_id=24621063
Beyond a doubt as you say "it only really matters as far as integrity of the market is concerned"
Along with the vultures you have the MM, over promotional PR's corrupt companies, fraud etc. Never was and never will be any integrity in the market. You know as well as I do this is the market we wish to trade in.
All the little guy can try to do is grab a small slice of the pie before the thieves do. Many stock prices go up because of corruption and many go down the same way. It is a non factor if you don't fall in love with a stock.
I can't understand why my post got deleted and the one I replied to didn't. Could it be the assistant moderator was wrong when he said 10% of the stock was traded by BoNY and the easiest way to correct the post was to delete it? I can see why you said in a previous post you won't be posting as much. This will be my last post on this board. I said it back in Dec. after I made a call and spoke to someone at Centerline and found out some information, you know what happened to Centerline since then. No one could understand what I was saying. Well they found out too late.

Pagan, for some reason this reply got deleted.
My understanding according to Rob at that time was The Bank of New York was to sell 1.5 million shares in stages over the course of a week 500,000 shares at a time. The clerk made a mistake and sold them all at once. BoNY ended up purchasing most of the shares back. The share price that day opened at $1.73, High $1.74, Low $.75 Closed at: $1.47. The previous days close was $1.67 total loss that day of the BoNY trade was .20 cents on volume of 6,736,600 shares. Which one could say at the most 3 million shares (sell and repurchase) was done by the BoNY. WHICH IS NOT 10% OF THE OUTSTANDING SHARES AS YOU SAY.
The closing price on the previous 5 days were: $1.67--$1.22--$1.07--$1.09--and $1.13.
The only reason the stock went up from $1.13 to $1.67 was because of the announced the launch of VozBrasil.
Now according to Huff at the shareholder meeting his response to the BoNY was just the opposite if I remember correctly. His claim was someone was to buy 1.5 million shares and the clerk entered a sell by mistake.
No matter how you want to look at this it is a non factor along with the Voz Brazil pump and what was accomplished by Globetel since that time.
Hope this helps clarify my comment.
Nerd you say: " For anyone to believe that the fall of GlobeTel wasn't orchestrated by these vultures is ludicrous."
Of course your right and with good reason: They pounced on a over promoting, non performing company and made alot money. You know it as well as anyone else, that's all part of the Wall Street Jungle. Outperform or in Globetel's case just produce something, and the vultures will scramble to buy back.
When I said: Huff's vision was blurred along with his dream.
A good CEO will always watch his back.
It was not only for the vulture (Bears) it was also meant for the vultures within the company.
Just look at all the shady people Huff surrounded himself with, it all reflects on the CEO.
You heard the old expression: Your only as good as the company you keep.
Take the BONY incident, had Globetel been able to execute something shortly there after the stock would have continued going higher. They couldn't ... so it is a non issue.
Agree.
Huff's vision was blurred along with his dream.
A good CEO will always watch his back.
Owl, Now that is a great company to hold long. Let's see if I got it right:
1- Huff screws Uli and buys the Hotzone for a song.
2- The Russians screw Globetel. Huff knew the deal wasn't going to work and plays along and knew the deal was a scam.
3- Globetel gives Uli Germany and Uli screws Globetel
4- Uli screws Huff and Huff who is smart and turns around and screws Uli.
5- Joe screws Centerline and Globetel turns around and screws Joe.
6- Huff screwed up on the Stored Value Card so it's sold "on the cuff" to former Globetel employees who also screwed up the financials.
7- Jones & Co. screwed up Sanswire so it goes to a 50/50 deal with Germany.
8- With everyone screwing each other the Amex delists them.
9- For all the screw ups going on the SEC investigates.
Looks to me like the shareholders are the ones who got screwed.
But the guys in there right now are the ones that really have the past experience and know how to get the job done. (Take it the way you want)
The wind tunnel test indicated there was something wrong way before. The test only confirmed the wrong doing of the open house with a half completed strat. How many PR were mentioned before the wind test that Sans1 would be flying long before. LOL
Of course that is water over the dam right now, and this is the new GTEM where a rise in share price from 10 to 15 cents is a 50% profit.
The video leaked out and was posted. It was not on Globetel/Sanswire website. Here it is:

"it has served it's purpose"
We all know what Joe's purpose was:
to see the company go bankrupt or have the SEC shut them down.
If Joe is telling the truth "it has served it's purpose"... we will know soon.

OK Mide, I'll bite, Pink sheet stocks with a positive outlook?
GTEM fits in with the rest of the 1000's of pinkies. Very, very seldom do they ever do anything positive or ever make anything of themselves. They are trading stocks...you try to figure out the pump & dump scheme.
If you believed everything a pink sheet stock said and played them off their press releases you would be broke by now. GTEM is just one example of many similar stocks out there just like them.
Now a name change to start everything all over again would be positive along with some far fetched pumps, and I would be trading with a positive outlook. Who cares about the company, speculators only care about making money. Even if through some miracle GTEM stock does take off, it won't go straight up, it will have its downs and higher ups, which allow traders the opportunity to make money. Who cares if the Strat ever flies, buy and sell between the hypes. The only positive would be the next hype play.
IMHO
Sharklady, one problem with your remark about Globetel. You can verify the past, you can't verify the future. Thier track record speaks for itself.
MOBL Lowtrade, your opinion, watch? Buy? Wait for news, to me it looks like the big guys are ready to make a move. Your opinion please. Just learning from your board.

Nerd I can't argue with that. They should do better then RAS and look how good they are doing since they came out with thier earnings yesterday. In thier conference call they said they see no problems maintaining the current dividend and with a yeild of close to 18% they can't see a better investment in thier own stock and will resume purchasing thier shares. They also claim new investments in the 4 quarter will also provide higher yields going forward. I think you will see the same kind of words from AHR. I'm holding for now.
My vote for a new company name is GLO-BE-TEL.
Cost savings--just insert a dash between the letters.
Ras is taking off, Ahr should follow soon. Ras has mainly rental/mortgage, little commercial left.
Cole Can you provide any evidence, what makes you sure about this statement:
I'm sure it was unintentional
I think we will know Monday morning. The company I use for comparison as a like kind of stock is RAS which will be coming out with its earnings Monday morning. The reason I consider it a like kind if stock, they like AHR is buying back their shares, they both pay a comparable dividend, both don't rely of residential customers. Since Aug. Ahr has been trading at about .50 a share more. At a point last week Ras was trading at $1.00 more. Friday I bought both for the exact same price but sold Ras at the end of the day. I sold Ras before earnings to take the sure thing, and kept Ahr because if Ras is in line with estimates it should go up along with AHR. If Ras is below estimates it could get hit hard and will give me a chance to unload AHR.
All IMO.
I do think both have bottomed, many experts believe the shorter's left residential mortgage stocks and moved into commercial stocks and could be very surprised in the coming months as they are many problems.
127,749,688 shares issued 7 Employee's= approximately 18,210,000 shares per employee.
If the same ratio was put on another company such as Ford Motors which has 283,000 employees and if each person represented 18.2 million shares---I am not even going to try to figure that one out.
Each of the remaining 7 employees have a great responsibility to the many shareholders they represent (28,000?). Let's hope they produce accordingly. No longer is this an "investment" in the company but a "speculation" on the people employed here.
Good Trading day today. I think more day's like this will be coming.
Sharklady00, I am in total agreement in what you say, "it will be the only distribution you will ever receive from Mide's beloved South Florida Nano Cap Company." You do not KNOW this."
IF the SEC doesn't revoke the registration of Globetel's securities.
IF Globetel manages to get financing to continue operations, and has some money.
Then there would be a good chance for another distribution from yet another class action lawsuit from Globetel's many deceptions after the Russian ordeal.
The way I see it there is hope for another distribution.
That will be hard to beat up on. That was filed 4 days after Jon L. became CEO.
Rob will probably tell everyone it is doing fine. LOL
Japbrat, I agree with what you are saying. When I said: "GTEM always had Magic Money...it just disappears with nothing to show for. LOL" It wasn't meant to mean they had the Magic Money Stored Value Card.
It was meant that their money magically seems to disappear. I also believe Joe was the fall guy. When Globetel acquired Centerline wasn't it their responsibility to check the books for accuracy before they made the purchase?
Globetel didn't clear their name with the Amex, the Class action lawsuit, comments by Seth, Byron, SEC and Joe M. You have to honestly ask yourself, could all these people be right.
If it looks like a scam, acts like a scam, it is most likely a scam.
If you look back to Sunbiz: Globetel Magic Inc. which was dissolved just after the SEC announced its investigation (9-15-2006) It appears that most of the same people are now involved in Gotham Financial:

GTEM always had Magic Money...it just disappears with nothing to show for. LOL
I wouldn't be surprised if Gotham was at the Centerline auction to buy up the missing parts of the only thing GTEM had "going". Buy Centerline add it to the Stored Value Card and start a scam all over again. Maybe Jasper Knapp will join them with Pegasus Wireless. LOL

Meanmikeca, lol this company is paying $3000 a quarter for rent expense. That's $1000 per month, that's even less then the cost of renting a decent boiler room.
Our expenses for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 consisted of, research and development fees of $24,800, legal and professional fees of $17,915, payroll expenses of $45,000, operating expenses of $5,664, rent expense of $3,000, depreciation expense of $6,301, amortization of loan costs of $1,758,159, interest expense of $89,922, and other expenses of $ 2,622. The increase in expenses of $1,171,654 for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 as compared to the expenses for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 is primarily due to decreases in non-cash options/warrants expenses, and legal and professional fees, combined with an approximate $1,500,000 increase in amortization of loan costs, which resulted from the default notice received from Cornell Capital Partners, LP.

I am going to jump on this tomorrow if the price is near where it is today. Funny RAS was upgraded to outperform today and is up while AHR is way down.
I would buy today but don't want to take a chance of having my account suspended for good faith violation which I was warned about in August. My trading has no fees and I don't want to lose that. While I typed this AHR shot up 23 cents.
Most of the decline was caused by TMC which is a mortage stock and not like AHR.

Exactly, I agree, with all that went on since the K boys came on and lack of information being given now they PR a non material event of a lawsuit against a former employee. Joe is innocent until proven guilty, be interesting to see how GTEM can prove themselves innocent.
IMO the shareholders should press fraud and deceit charges against both of them and sort the whole thing out. It was Khoury who stated, "Joe Monterosso brings extensive management experience to the position, as well as a proven commitment and passion for our mission. His background in providing guidance to the numerous GlobeTel constituencies, as well as his systems experience and knowledge of operations are valuable resources for our Company's future."
Now GTEM is bringing charges against Joe?
What a joke!
"GlobeTel Communications Corp. (Pink Sheets: GTEM - News; the "Company") today announced that, on behalf of its shareholders, it has filed a lawsuit"
This whole situation is pathetic, I don't see how any of this is on behalf of its shareholders. If they wanted to do something on behalf of their shareholders over the last few years why didn't they accomplish just one thing.
Not suing Seth, Byron or Sands, I guess that wouldn't have been for the shareholders behalf, but Joe mainly because they didn't pay his separation agreement. On behalf of the shareholders why don't they explain why they didn't pay him?
For a company delisted from the Amex, with the SEC considering recommending to revoke the registration of Company's securities do they really need to draw more attention to this non performing company by suing Joe?
Now of all times they are doing something on behalf of the shareholders....what a joke.

Nerd, I don't know if you read this, the market makers were not to trade the stock if shorts were not closed. The rules changed they now have 35 days. I don't think todays trading was because of any deadline. (IMO-the company made a late day repurchase of their shares)

What you need to know:
The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has amended Regulation SHO to eliminate the “grandfather provision” effective October 15, 2007.
Who you should contact: NASDAQ Market Sales at 800.846.0477
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What is changing?
The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has amended Regulation SHO to eliminate the “grandfather provision” and will take effect on October 15, 2007.
SEC Regulation SHO sets out rules governing short sales, including the mandatory close-out requirement that applies to securities in which a substantial amount of fails to deliver have occurred (“threshold securities”). Clearing agency participants and broker-dealers for which they clear positions (“participants”) must take immediate action to close out a fail to deliver position in a Threshold Security that has lasted for 13 consecutive settlement days by purchasing securities of like kind and quantity (“close-out requirement”).
The amendment eliminates one of the exceptions to the Close-out Requirement for fails to deliver established prior to a security becoming a Threshold Security (“grandfather provision”). The amendment requires Participants to close out any previously-grandfathered fails to deliver in a security that is on the Threshold Security List on October 15th. The close-out must occur within 35 consecutive settlement days of October 15th. If a security becomes a Threshold Security after October 15th, all fails to deliver must be closed out within 13 consecutive settlement days.
What do I have to do on or after October 15th?
This amendment does not require NASDAQ to make any changes to its Threshold Security List. However, Participants should ensure that they close out previously-grandfathered fail to deliver positions within the time frames established by the amendment. Participants that do not close out these fail to deliver positions within 35 days will, by rule, be prohibited from accepting any short sale orders or effecting further short sales in these securities until the entire fail to deliver position is closed out.

Nerd: You are right once again! Bought it after my email message and just sold it. Took the 20 cent profit. See what happens tomorrow. Looks like RAS could be the good buy tomorrow.
From my last post:
That would make AHR a decent buy right now, don't you think?
RAS +.45 $9.53 Spread: RAS + .23
AHR -.39 $9.30
After close:
RAS closed at $9.17 +.11 Spread: AHR +.34
AHR closed at $9.51 -.18
Didn't Globetel have something going on in Germany before, I forgot what is was.
How is that doing? Will this do as good?
LOL
Nerd you were right on, AHR is now at $9.30. A like kind of stock is RAS which I bought and sold this morning. Funny thing for the first time in a couple of months RAS is trading higher then AHR and the spread was usually about .50 lower. That would make AHR a decent buy right now, don't you think?
RAS +.45 $9.53
AHR -.39 $9.30
I was lucky to find this company when I did and realize the scam it was about 2 years ago. This was my all time favorite trading stock. Hate to see it go. I forgot how many times I traded it but I posted it here once, don't remember if it got deleted. The open house for the Strat was when I was convinced it was a scam.
Something good can come out of this yet.
Gtem could serve as a lesson for other small scam companies to tone it down a bit, the SEC could be watching them next.
Although when an expert was asked if they thought Enron served as a good lesson for other companies about deceiving the investors his reply was...."corruption will probably increase as more companies will study what Enron did and try to avoid doing the same things wrong where they got caught.
Actually after reading this post, I doubt if anything good will come out of this period.
