Established in 1995
Silicon Investor was purchased by ADVFN PLC in September of 2006.
The Silicon Investor website was launched in 1995 and dominated the world financial message board space almost immediately. It has remained a market leader ever since and is currently recommended on Forbes - Best of the Web. Silicon Investor has, over the years, attracted some of the most well known and infamous market participants online today.
Silicon Investor’s CEO is Bob Zumbrunnen. Bob studied programming at DeVry where he first made a name for himself running PC-Help: one of the biggest and most profitable message boards in the US in the late 80s. He joined Silicon Investor in 2001 as the site’s administrator. Two years later Bob bought the company, which has continued to thrive; adding content and users apace. Silicon Investor now has over 21 million page views a month.
Established in 2000
Established in 2000 and bought by ADVFN in September of 2006, Investors Hub (iHub) is the brain child of Silicon Investor user Matt Brown.
Having identified additional functionality and a niche in the financial message board space, Matt created iHub, which soon attracted the interest of Bob Zumbrunnen of Silicon Investor. In 2002, Bob was appointed as iHub's President (CEO) and since then the site has come to dominate the financial message board arena. Alexa describes it as "one of the most popular financial message board destinations in the world."
Both Bob and Matt are highly experienced message board operators who specialise in developing and managing very large communities. This expertise has helped iHub achieve its current 84 million plus page views a month.
I've been doing some DD on MPWE.
I started a video blog on Youtube...check it out.
http://www.youtube.com/mjm2005
My playlists/favorites might be helpful. Ignore the funny vids if you like. Just check out the investing/forex ones. Check out my group too.
But, new for me--> looking to trade options, get into forex, and get a grip on this whole trading/investing thing.
I'm not recommending anything FWIW. And do your own research. I've been learning a lot lately...but I'm no pro (not yet) and still just a beginner.
I'm an idiot. ih.advfn.com already works and is used on here.
Is there also a trademark infringement possibility if you were to use just "ihub?"
Yes, that is true...the brand is something that is definitely worth considering. And, I was thinking about it...that the length of the url would only be an issue if you just recently cleared your history or were logging on using a different computer than you normally would/have. So, in essence, it would be a non issue. Unless someone is that lazy that they couldn't type an additional number of characters to access a site they frequent.
Although, I'm not saying, I'm incapable of such laziness. hahaha
But anyway, thanks for the alert.
Ok, so the issue was more about the problems with cookies not working?
Also, is it possible to have that shorten subdomain? I might like typing that better...haha. Or would that just create additional problems?
Woah, will www.investorshub.com not work then? Or are you all implementing some sort of URL redirection?
And if no redirection can you shorten that url? ihub.advwhatever.com?? advfn? Or even IH.advfn?
It's a subdomain right? That'd be a heck of a lot easier.
Also, I just sent this to him...about five minutes ago...will post a response, if/when I get it...
Thanks Gary. Ill double check on those filings again. I just hope that your dealings with the NIR Group are beneficial to you, your company, and the shareholders. I'm sure you've thoroughly researched all of your options and determined the best course of action. I don't know what type of connection (other than holding a majority of mpwe's shares) this group has with your company. However, more times than not I've heard them mentioned in discussions about convertible bonds and PIPE deals. These, as I'm sure you're aware, typically do not fare so well for the company as a whole.
On the other hand, those who have responded to me seemed very excited about their dealings with your company. I appreciate the responses and I will read those filings as you suggested.

Ok here...recent conversations-->
Mr. XXXXXXXXX:
I appreciate your interest in our company. Actually, there is quite a bit of information about eDoorways in our filings.
We are in the process of ramping up our IR and PR as we move toward the first phase of eDoorways completion.
You should be receiving more information soon in the form of press releases and detailed filings.
Regarding our share structure, there are 320 million shares issued and outstanding with 1 billion authorized. Most of the shares are held by our funding source, NIR, which is a hedge fund in NYC.
Sincerely,
Gary F. Kimmons

Mr. Kimmons,
Yes, I am an investor. And yes I have contacted several of your consultants.
My intent was to back up my initial want to purchase stock in your company. I'm
not sure how you invest, but I can't sit back idly and watch my stocks. I
research, buy, and then continue to research. This is especially true when I'm
involved with highly volatile otcbb and pink sheet stocks. There have been too
many times where the news never comes or the share price just continues to drop.
But the only thing I want help with is more information. I'm interested in
knowing the current share structure. Also, I have received a short synopsis from
your IR firm concerning edoorways. Anything that you feel would be helpful to
me would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,

Wow...email from Gary Kimmons today. Nothing too helpful yet...but that's a start.
I got a few other confirmations as well today...good good.
Still waiting some more responses.
Not necessarily. That's from the end of the fiscal year, if I'm reading that correctly?
I asked IR about current share structure.
We'll see. I don't know. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Part of the email I received from IR--> SpeakTECH has confirmed involvement already. I'm still checking on the others.

IDK if you saw...cause I edited it...but email me.
HAHAHAHAHA thanks a$$. Seriously though...anyone have any luck with that? Like a true product there? I had this back during the "squeeze" but have since moved on...just looks kinda interesting and a friend brought it up recently.
Also, that name change was just a matter of time. I guess it's good that Harvard finally noticed. Might get some press from them? Haha doubt it.
Forex? Do me a favor...email me...my email is on my page. I need to conserve posts hahahaha
Did anyone try to sign up for a course yet? How'd that go?
Xuan, it's at 0.0003. WTF?
I've sent a bunch of emails out to different companies IR claims they are working with. I'll reply with anything interesting.
'admin@bookeandco.com'
Try that.
Ok, I haven't been too focused on ACTUAL trading/investing lately. I've realized that I need to focus a bit more on learning.
Therefore, I've read quite a few investment tutorials/books to help aid my constantly growing knowledge.
Right now, I have the majority of the Investopedia Tutorials down. Also, whatever you all might think, I've read most of the Cramer books. Next up are some classics...Graham, Lynch, etc. I have a stack of 30 or so. FUN! haha
Have that CANSLIM method down too. That might be interesting.
Hmmmm. I got a reply. Not from the company though. IR.
Have you tried this Opera Mini thing?
Try the beta 4 version. That just saved me $600. Cause now I have full blown web browsing like the iPhone but with EVDO speeds instead of Edge...excellent.
Yeah, the camera or MMS is not that big of a deal for me. If I wanted the camera I'd get a Curve. So, that's good to hear. Thanks.
Does that work with the 8800/8830 too? The real page view, I mean.
I just downloaded it. Thanks, I didn't even know about that before...Opera Mini.
Anyone upgrade from the 8700 to 8800 series yet?
I have an 8703e on VZW.
Are there any blackberries that work with VoIP? I was reading something about a Nokia E61 being able to do that. I might just get one of those and downgrade my 8703 plan to the absolute minimum. I'm always around a WLAN, or so it seems.
I google mapped their address, and that even looks legit...haha.
Unlike those other OTC companies that use that Virtual Office BS.
Hey everybody. I got in this today. Holding over the weekend.
News expected? I think I got 1.4 mill last time I checked...about. Maybe 1.37 or something haha.
Hmmm...look who's at the helm--> SPAB

"Even more annoying for buyout firms seeking to go public is that while they would be taxed immediately if the bill passes, Blackstone is grandfathered into the bill, meaning the tax hike would not hit them for another five years."

Anyway, I'm just happy with the SLIGHT (very slight...like 20 cents) uptrend after hours. At least it didn't tank 5 percent or something from 4-8pm.
Anyone have any options out on BX?
Besides my obvious interest in BX doing well, I'm just somewhat annoyed with Welch and the other Congressmen.
Yes, maybe the tax should be raised on partnerships from 15 to 35percent. But, I just know that those increased taxes that go to the government are going to be much less efficiently used than they would be at Blackstone or other investment companies. The US should just issue more bonds or T-Bills and leave Steve and company alone...although, his compensation (and other execs) is quite hefty, you get what you pay for.
Ok, is that right--->>>> P/E of 13.06???
Market cap of 38.03B???
EPS of 2.68?
This is low right? (Yes, this is a very basic and general way to consider it.) I don't know, but the upside looks pretty good. But, I have a (small) holding in BX, so I'm somewhat biased.

So this was from earlier in June? So it's no longer an issue sometime in August?
What about the downtick short selling rule?
Very true.

Kathleen Casey is a moron...officially.
I might have to look into investing in some other way now. Like FOREX...ha.
Is the Gpa clause getting removed? Or are you just speculating? That would (possibly) be excellent...haha
