Thanks Fish. Amazing how animals become part of the family.
Agreed. I as well favor the need for cash as planned expenditures or even emergencies arise from time to time.Case in point: The wife's Service Dog of about 14 years had to be put down due to a severe spinal injury and now he will be replaced. Not chump change when you consider initial cost and training. Had to cash some shares.
With the mystery regarding item #4 of you comments, I wonder if stop-loss strategy is paramount at this time even though various indicators suggest healthy potential. Such adventure!
C'mon now! A preorder without cash up front is really no order at all. Show me the money! Oh, Happy New Year everyone. I'm still here!
Easy Money!? If these folks only knew about Virtra....Why build a "village" to shoot up?

Indeed, hope springs eternal. If the Good Lord allows me to enjoy what we all continue to wait for with this outfit, I can only hope I still have a clear mind to enjoy the windfall. (Pretty profound if I do say so myself!)

Thanks for your kind words. My budget for Mac Single Malt has been depleted but good old JW Red Label still satisfies somewhat.

Speaking of water, being under it is getting old. Still treading though and not getting any younger. Gonna be 80 this year. Hope I make it to see a glorious 2024 election and somehow light a fire under this %$#@!

Cute story. That's selling! Hopefully the food got better with time. Never said it would be easy but sitting on one's arse waiting for the phone to ring never works. Why did the old roadshow Virtra had go away? If it still exists, it's not getting any press.
Thank You! I still wonder how much it would cost for a couple of "sales" guys to man a semi with a road-show to demo Virtra products. One to drive and another to pitch the product. In a past life I was selling home use keyboard products, pianos and organs. Had a panel van outrigged with one-man moving equipment to put instruments in homes for demo purposes. Word-of-mouth leads. About a 50/50 proposition leading to a sale. At least rent with option-to-buy. Was better than sitting in a store beating a phone list....and this was back in the early 70's with the crummy economy as it was. Didn't get rich but made a living and got plenty of exercise. . .. just food for thought.

Oh Bill, we've shared some comments, few as they are over some years. The only thing I know we have in common is our (you and me) survival as we approach the 80 year mark.... and our supply of Single Malt. . Your opinion of Ted C. is your own and our US Constitution allows you to express it. I respect that. None the less, I am plagued with the fact that we have never had more of a challenge to rise above the corrupt nature of our present gov't administration and the lunacy of it's leadership. Over the years I have continued to hold shares with the belief that intelligent heads will prevail even though it seems so elusive. So, I hold on. Not that I am desperate for the money either. I just like to WIN once in a while. Stay well.

Back some years back Virtra had a "roadshow" in the package of a sem-trailer rig for demo purposes. Now is the time to plant thoughts everywhere especially in county seats with either on-site demos or "free loaners" of limited screen-number products to "SELL THE SIZZLE!!!". There is so much low-hanging fruit out there with all the lib-scare regarding gun laws. VTSI... WAKE UP!!!!
Interesting, yet FWIW may be controversial. Two sides of opinion on this. a)Good to be informed, yet b) Don't want to instill false confidence. Opinions?... https://bearingarms.com/patrick-richardson/2021/04/03/iowa-pds-force-training-general-public-n42975
Still strapped in..and holding on!
I may be old but I'm not gone yet!
I'll light a candle for you.
My single-malt doesn't have the same effect that your stuff does. I would really love to see these latest numbers you chat about ....especially after the many, many, MANY years of loyal patience. Whew!
Let's not confuse specific problem solving with random diversity. Based on the sales aggressiveness, or lack of same as history shows, a BOD focused on establishing and meeting sales goals requires a best-for-the-job mentality. If "diversity" results from the assemblage of such a BOD, then fine. The focus should be intelligently solving the problem, not creating a BOD that has "put an infinite number of various talented individuals in a room with PCs and they will eventually come up with a solution"...(Probably a poor parody of the old philosophy using monkeys, typewriters and waiting for the world's greatest literary works)...but you get the idea. Based on what we've seen over the years, one could opine that we have a rudderless ship due to the inability to focus on a common goal..improve sales. Fish is dead-on with once again emphasizing the need for a true leader capable of "selling the sizzle" of a top product line and leading the company to where it needs to be. What else can I say?
Amen! Running out of time waiting for the nut case seller who has more money than all of us and just wants to tweak our heads.
Interesting discussion going on. I agree with your comments regarding the ultimate, perfect design, instant start-up etc. The question of diminishing returns obviously comes into play and the ability to stay competitive. And now, I add this quirk... Humans as a species IMHO are basically analog devices. I suppose there are those who claim to exist with a 1 and 0 (digital) mentality but I for one, avoid them. Throw a complex digital device at someone over 50 and unless they work in a digital domain, it's alien. Hell, I can't get a straight answer from an internet tech when I challenge the RF radiation level of my wi-fi hub. Granted, I'm older than dirt and I'm still trying to figure out the GPS system in my car. (I won't even comment on the fragmented user guides that never explain the reasons or alternatives for selecting asinine settings.) Have a great day Fish. Stimulating thoughts are always welcome.
Arguable perhaps. Providing complete instructions including all the tools needed, you'd be surprised how many people fail to follow a detailed roadmap (in their native language)...because they think of a "shortcut". I do agree though that to try out the theory one should start small before leaping to a $1M system. I at least believe that the cost of at an VTSI overseer to do a sign-off is a good idea. Maybe that would provide a win-win situation.
The idea of a DYI install may seem attractive from a cost-of-business point of view however IMO it creates a potential liability unknown. Consider the fact that system operation fails for some unknown reason and the customer claims product fault. VTSI claims installation error. $45K a year is cheap insurance for credibility....probably closer to $75K+ actually. (Tech will really need to be a field engineer.)
Sorry I can't pony up. Too old anyhow.

Who's to say there have been no offers...at least casual ones? Maybe we just don't know about them. Rules regarding disclosure...anyone?

So, Bring on the deep-pocket buyers!
It's hard staying "numb" all the time with thoughts of gleeful anticipation. Still here nonetheless. At least I'm not living in a city run by lunatic leftists... today at least.
Got it!
Vitra should jump on this, if they haven't already...

I won't reiterate DL's well presented summary. It's unfortunate that such an organization has devolved to what it is today having appeared to have had some minor redeeming value at its inception. On a another note. We are both older fossils, set in our ways perhaps but I assume wish well for fellow investors. VTSI has and continues to develop training strategies that IMO are reasonably priced and well focused but after many years are still "Junior League" in getting the story out. Like many others, 10+ years in this has been mostly frustrating. We are a dedicated lot, yes, but deserve better. Either way in November, I fear we'll be confronted with increased threats regarding life and property. VTSI has a wealth of opportunity in support of our existing law enforcement or in a major business shift, developing strategies for the private sector. Spock --"Live Long and Prosper!"
Confused?
Re 1: If BLM is not an organization... consider this...
BlackLivesMatter was founded in 2013 in response to the acquittal of Trayvon Martin’s murderer. Black Lives Matter Foundation, Inc is a global organization in the US, UK, and Canada.
I won't honor it with a posted URL. Google it if you wish.
Spot on! Thanks for concurring.
Picking the best for the job, regardless of race, should prevail. Nothing against non-whites. When I elected to leave my corporate position back in '96, I took a year to find my replacement. I interviewed all that met opening criterion, all races/genders. Very few non-whites applied and no females. Best for the job indeed prevailed. Picking based on race balance not in the best interest of the company unless the outfit is Left-of- center to begin with and playing political games... IMO.
Easier said than done...sad.
I fully agree as a fellow capitalist that we are invested to make money. No argument there. The fact that the earlier discussion centers on trying to negotiate with a Democrat led Marxist Mob hasn't ended well with previous attempts by city councils or whatever. Going back to my earlier comment, I am fearful that to invite such discussion will alienate present and future customers of merit by fostering contrary views regarding VTSI ethics. Maybe I'm shooting myself in the foot by rejecting this plot-line but there appears IMO to be plenty of business coming forth in support of VTSI's core strength if only a beacon of light can be shown to "Pick Me".....going back to the "Bat Signal" in the sky days of yore. In respect to I-Hub policies, I won't get into an expanded political rant here but I believe my position is pretty well displayed. Do we need to start a go-fund-me effort to get someone to start banging on doors to tell our story?
The discussion as to resolving/defusing the BLM chaos makes sense however the various law enforcement agencies should be driving the train here, not BLM. It's already been proven that BLM and others like it have only exasperated their craving for "more" when offered such as a carrot. Appreciate your thoughts but posturing is key IMO. We can only hope that local and state govt's see the light.
BLM IMO with their far left, extremely radical posture is completely out of sync with VTSI philosophy....and any other conservative stature for that matter. An alliance with civic defense organizations has been VTSI's mode of operation since inception. What you describe appears to be a cooperative with an organization which is contrary to the basic cause of self preservation. Such a relationship would alienate all past and present customers in their focus to bolster their ability to safely defend against such as BLM and Antifa. If I have misunderstood your philosophy, please enlighten me. VTSI should stand as an ally with local organizations in order to improve agency expertise in safely dealing with these radicals.
You've stirred my interest. Considering what BLM as an organization has done in their attempt to trash our country, are you suggesting they are good for VTSI? If so, how?
….Like how to neutralize a Radical with an AK-47 without shooting back! Sick of the Seattle folly.

What a clever move! Neat way to draw out the lurkers and quiet bunch. I'm still here and holding. Not selling yet. Hope I last long enough to see gravy. Sorta like the Cubs and the World Series.
