Interesting discussion going on. I agree with your comments regarding the ultimate, perfect design, instant start-up etc. The question of diminishing returns obviously comes into play and the ability to stay competitive. And now, I add this quirk... Humans as a species IMHO are basically analog devices. I suppose there are those who claim to exist with a 1 and 0 (digital) mentality but I for one, avoid them. Throw a complex digital device at someone over 50 and unless they work in a digital domain, it's alien. Hell, I can't get a straight answer from an internet tech when I challenge the RF radiation level of my wi-fi hub. Granted, I'm older than dirt and I'm still trying to figure out the GPS system in my car. (I won't even comment on the fragmented user guides that never explain the reasons or alternatives for selecting asinine settings.) Have a great day Fish. Stimulating thoughts are always welcome.
