Headlines from
yesterday as we have all seen but i just wanted to say how good it is to see C-Space making such good progress after it looked like it might be gone in the eyes of many people. I would like to hear what Martin Keating has to say today about the prospects of C-Space being commercialized .
The Coretec Group Provides the Latest Updates on its CSpace Technology Partnership with The University of Adelaide - The Coretec Group
C-Space still alive and well !!
Pegs , From the news release on C-Space :
A full research report will be published in the coming months and the Company will make it available through its website. Time line on full report on the project is ," the Coming months " I think this step on the project could be done, post pandemic , in 6 months give or take with updates at the shareholder web cast which the next one should be in April could tell us more
Adelaide U. said they were now going to make an image chamber over 10 inches and they will look at the green voxels in it and then want to use multiple colors. If they get great results from the 10 plus inch image chamber ,they already said they believe the materials are scalable , that's a big step. They also said they want to learn more as to why the pulsed laser on both lasers with the tellurite glass responds so successfully and that they then may be able to find other types of materials /glass that will work too. So any new glass they may find might be even better or they could optimize the glass they have . R&D goes on . I think sometime in 2023 they will have some excellent results for us on the 10 plus inch image chamber. If this work is very successful the next step could be a partnership with someone outside Adelaide U. I would think .

new report out today on the global market for silicon anodes at market watch

Ford is all over the place . If silicon anodes are the near future for battery tech then expect Ford to be there as well.
Ford has stated a while back that they outsource their EV batteries instead of using a battery tech that they have created because they are waiting on new and better materials before they make their own battery and they do have there new battery manufacturing plants opening soon in 2 states on out east i think Tenn. and North Carolina ?? They have been and are with several companies not just CATL and will be active with others . Heres one from 2 years ago that is active today. Ford and SK Innovation out of S. Korea
https://media.ford.com/content/fordmedia/fna/us/en/news/2021/05/20/ford-commits-to-manufacturing-batteries.html
And yet another joint venture for Ford recently : https://electrek.co/2021/08/05/ford-gm-stellantis-joint-40-50-ev-sale-goal-2030/
In the article Ford is investing in solid state batteries and Ford ion Park
The Ford Ion Park team already is underway. In addition, a $185 million collaborative learning lab in Southeast Michigan that is dedicated to developing, testing and building vehicle battery cells and cell arrays opens late next year.
Earlier this month, Ford also announced it is growing its investment in Solid Power, an industry-leading producer of all-solid-state batteries for EVs. Initially investing in Solid Power in 2019, Ford is making an additional equity investment to help accelerate further development of solid-state vehicle battery technology, contributing to a $130 million Series B investment round in which the BMW Group becomes an equal equity owner with Ford.
From the article about Ford and CATL :
Ford said it will own and operate the factory and set up a wholly owned subsidiary to run it, while CATL is providing the technology for lithium iron phosphate batteries or LFP batteries, per the Bloomberg report, adding that the plant will become the first in the US to produce LFP batteries.
In Coretecs Michelle Tokarz article Jan 3rd she stated LFP are not the future and why :
https://www.altenergymag.com/story/2022/12/electric-vehicle-battery-innovation-predictions-2023/38776/
LFP cathodes aren’t the future when it comes to EV batteries
2023 will likely see an increase in the use of LFP cathodes in EV charging, mostly because volumes of ALL cathodes are expected with the anticipated increase in EV’s. LFP cathodes offer a number of benefits, including lower cost, higher lifecycle, and better high temperature resistance. But Ternary cathode materials like Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC) and Lithium Nickel-Cobalt-Aluminum Oxide (NCA) are currently mainstays in batteries for a reason. Their LFP counterparts do not hold as much capacity as NCA/NMC batteries and have a lower energy density. The weight and volume necessary to gain the necessary charge capacity of an LFP makes it unsuitable for EV batteries, but rather more to grid storage applications where weight is not a concern. For lower-end EV’s where range (available charge capacity) is not as much of a concern, some EV’s based upon LFP cathodes still exist, but the innovation will likely come from NMC and NCA cathodes.
Overall, despite these clear limitations, inflation, fuel spikes, rising operational costs, and unstable geo-political conditions could lead to a multitude of EV battery developers opting to employ the cheaper LFP technology but not at a scale that will surpass NCA/NMC batteries.
Armistice yearly filing . Coretec wasn't the only company they had to file on there are dozens of them today.
https://www.sec.gov/edgar/browse/?CIK=0001601086
Investors need to understand that These other silicon anode companies like Amprius , IONBLOX ,Quantumscape , Sila nano Etc are not really competion for Coretec . Coretec doesnt make a battery they supply their new silicon active anode material for those who are making a battery with a silicon anode. We have a better silicon than they can get from using the SiH4 and other gas type silanes as a silicon precursor material. Coretec said in the call in Dec that they have the only silicon technology like theirs in the World. Nobody has what Coretec has .
Theres always the possibility Coretec is working with them under a non disclosure agreement or why send congrats to them ?? Strange?? They could possibly do that and not violate a NDA. I looked at IONBLOX patents under thier old name Zenlabs last week when i first heard of IONBLOX because i saw a news release about their new funding that came out 5 days ago. They are using a gaseous based silicon in thier anode like Amprius and the others . These companies are.not competition for Coretec since we are a silicon company that will provide better silicon materials for all those who use silicon in their technology like silicon anodes , semiconductors and LEDs . They need Coretecs silicon as i see it as does Ampirius , Sila nano tech , Quantumscape , Enovix and others who all use the SiH4 gas silanes and other gas based silanes. I looked up Amprius patents and they use SiH4 and several other gas silanes CHS is a liquid based silane as we know. Coretec has long said they will replace SiH4 and other gas based silanes. I believe CHS can be in a gas state , would have to look back at it but CHS has much lower deposition temps and higher yields that the gas based silanes as we have already heard. 650,000 shares bid order at 0.025 cents someone knows something good is up . Have a great day !
From a 2022 article ( Below ) about funds IONBLOX raised in a 24 million dollar series B funds for their work. Now the question i think we all have is why did Coretec post congrats to IONBLOX on their linkedin page. My question is who does the posts? Is it the media group Coretec uses to manage their social media and news releases and they do the linkedin posts and just try to find news articles on silicon anodes about other companies not related to Coretec in any way and what they are doing ?? Or did Coretec management want this posted ( do they sign off on all posts ?? ) and are giving the congrats to IONBLOX because Coretec has a partnership with them and a NDA aggreement in place and wanted to give a shout out to IONBLOX ?? I would think Coretecs managment would have to approve the " Giving congrats " to IONBLOX which they have done in the past with Theion in their work with them who Coretec has a partnership with or did which is another question because Theion is not listed on Cortetecs web site as a partner.
“Applied Ventures is very impressed with the tremendous progress Sujeet and the Ionblox team have made developing silicon anode batteries in collaboration with Applied Materials, Lilium and EV companies,” said Anand Kamannavar, global head of Applied Ventures. “We look forward to supporting Ionblox in accelerating commercialization of its next-generation batteries.”
Applied Materials a semi conductor company is listed as an investor in IONBLOX on IONBLOX website

new linkedin post out and Coretec giving congrats to IONBLOX who has an investor called LILIUM. IONBLOX has a silicon anode in its battery. So why is Coretec giving congrates to IONBLOX on their Coretecs linkedin site and a link given from their linkedin page to an article about LILIUMs new JET and a link to IONBLOX web site ?? Maybe Coretec is working with these companies ??

I meant to post 7 companies are presenting about their anode materials but only 2 of those are using silicon anodes materials
Nanoramic and Enovix in their batteries. A couple i believe use lithium metal anodes
I looked up all the companies presenting at the NATTBATT conference over the 3 days of presenters and there were 7 companies who had developed silicon anodes and but only 2 had a silicon anode material . Enovix and Nanoramic. Tesla ,Sila Nanotech and Envoix were some of the main speakers. Hopefully Coretec will sharing some really great data that they have with those at the conference and open some doors for the company going forward . They are attending nether battery conference March 20th
They are doing a presentation Feb. 23rd along with the other members of Nattbatt. Each company get 4 min to present what they have then that opens the door to furthur meetings with other companies who want to know more about each other. Session 4B Track 2 ( 4th presentation ) on Thur Feb 23rd 9:25am to 10:55am
https://nac.naatbatt.org/naatbatt-annual-conference-2023/agenda/
Nattbatt coming up the 20th of Feb. I would assume they will share some of the data with others at the convention. Coretec became a silver member recently at Nattbatt.

New post on Coretecs linkedin. They said they had a , " great experience " at the U of Michigan battery lab which is good to hear. I know they cant release initial test results yet but i read into the use of these words that things went very well !! Thats exciting they are confident in their work !
Coretec said : Our scientists just had a great experience working at the University of Michigan Battery Lab, making slurries, building battery cells and running cycle testing. Check out our latest blog post to hear their biggest takeaways.
The post by Coretec Friday helps understand specifically what they have been doing in the Lab at Coretec and what they did at the Michigan U battery Lab. We just dont know the results yet as im surwe they continue to optimize the material , electrode slurry Etc .. I believe things went well . They had also stated in the call they were working with thier battery manufacturers testing their new invention then later its obvious they worked at the UMBL lab. A lot going on here . NDAs signed and no news isnt bad news because they would obviously hold close their data untill they get a finalized battery cell were they want it . No worries here.
Dr. Nathanael Downes, Research Scientist, has been working in The Coretec Group’s wet lab to create silicon anode material for characterization testing. The results of these tests help determine which materials to use to create the electrode slurry – a mix of solid, conductive particles along with active materials, polymer binders, and a solvent. Each of the ingredients in the slurry, along with the amounts and order of addition to the mix impact the effectiveness of the electrode in a lithium-ion battery.
Last week, Dr. Michelle Tokarz, VP of Partnerships and Innovation, and Dr. Downes worked in the University of Michigan Battery Lab (UMBL) 1. making slurries, 2. building battery cells, and 3. running cycle testing.
Theres another post today on Coretecs linkedin site of Mr. Downes working in the lab.
On the Michigan innovation headquarters current tenants web site page Coretec has a new entry , i assume since they opened up the Lab, called : THE CORETEC GROUP
Developing and commercializing innovative technologies ! That just sounds good to me seeing Coretec is getting closer to revenue ,more partnerships , funding and possibly a merger and who knows maybe a buyout of one of their technologies.
https://mi-hq.com/current-tenants
Mr. Downes is and has been for a while tops in his work with silicon it seems. I know hes doing some great work at Coretec. I noticed today a 4Star General from the Air Force said the US will be at war with China within 2 years and will disrupt the 2024 elections . Senator from Indiana Todd Young today said that China is after Taiwan for one to control the semi conductor market and they would cut us off possibly from semiconductors from Taiwan were we get a huge amount them and that would be a bad thing for the US. Coretecs new materials CHS for semi conductors are supposed make them better , less expensive and be able to produce them quicker. Lets go !! The CHIPS ACT funding we are after to refine the process for our CHS is big so we can use it for Semiconductor production here in the US is i believe very big now and hopefully they can move quickly .The Air Force is now preparing for War with China according to that General ( Minihan i think ) and personel were told to get their emergency contact information updated. DOD just said they dont fully agree by saying they know China is a problem but are just focused on our allies and partners and the keeping the region at peace. Any thoughts ??
There holding some things close like battery data. I assume they will talk about it at the Feb 20-23 battery conference . They did want to file patents to cover other battery anode applications like mobile phones , war fighter and many others . When will they show the data ??? Dont know but they said in the webcast data equals financial success so the results are huge.
I viewed the 16 webinars Coretec has on their web site . They are from 2020 -2021 timeframe but still vey informative. Things have progressed since then and Coretc knows more about CHS now that the CEA and Eindhoven reports have come back with positive results . YThe battery data is key. One of the videos talks about initial battery work done with Evonik which was very positive and informative . Coretec has come a long way but at the sme time it seems like it has taken a while to get here but they are making great progress. I thought this was a good one since it was the initial work done on silicon anodes for batteries.
https://thecoretecgroup.com/webinars/demonstrated-capabilities-of-chs/
New post on Coretecs LinkedIn page. Its a picture of Coretecs researcher Mr. Downes working in the lab.
Battery show coming up Feb 20-23 . Coretec should have some data to share from the testing they have been doing in DEC and Jan. If the data is GREAT then the conference should hold great promise as they inform other companies as to what they have. Theres another battery conference in March. The timing of these events may work out well for Coretec Endurion battery.
https://naatbatt.org/
I remember some time ago in a blog or update they said that customers wanted more information and data about CHS before they recieved CHS ,so that is why they got involved with academia research thus the partnerships with Eindhoven U and the CEA. That data and info is now available from them to be shared with others opening the doors to more research and partnerships and prototypes for whatever the application. The semi conductor companies Coretec is speaking to for a partnership and Chips funding which requires a partnership needed that data to share for funding applications as Matthew Hoffman has spoken of when he talked about data leading to funding. Also any other partners or potential partners can see that data from the academia partnerships opening potential doors as well. Also the potential LED partner im guessing needed that data about CHS as well before they moved forward on talks which they are now in. So next steps is the funding and partnership with a semi conductor company where they would further refine the CHS process as has been stated and i assume developing prototypes would be next because thats one of the steps in those type partnerships. Matthew Hoffman also stated recently that data equals financial success. Hence the battery data from Coretecs half battery cells with their new anode active material they have created recently. They said they would do testing in Dec and January and then follow that with continued optimization of the battery cells with their battery manufacturer. So here we are at the end of Jan coming soon so will they share any battery data results with shareholders as to where it stands now ??? Data equals success so we all would like to know what that data is at this point but can they tell us yet ?? Hopefully they will share some insight as to how the testing is going and just give us at least a big thumbs up. If we have great data from the battery testing that would increase the value of the company if its better that the other silicon anode companies. I think its very good since in the Dec 14th web cast Matt Kappers said it will revolutionize the EV battery/ EV market and similar statements in the Endurion battery video We havnt heard a word about Richmond chem or Far chem in Miami so we need an update there.
Silicon ( basically sand to start ) is the 2nd most abundant mineral on the planet . Thats one reason that Coretec is in the right space material wise. If they can use 30% silicon in the anode that relieves a lot of stress on the graphite market and that would be big for Coretec .
There are 1,144,000 shares at .06 cents on the ask i see on level 2 someone has put out there to sell . If the company has big news and great data in the near future they may regret getting rid of those at .06 . That makes no since to me. Patience and patiently waiting is far better for 2023 i believe will be a good year for Coretec.
The Eindhoven report already came out last webcast . You might go back and take a look . It was very good. There just deciding on weather they will work with them and the CEA now as the data we got accomplished the mission of proving CHS is what they thought it was . They can now use that data to help with funding and share it with partners and future partners who may want to work with Coretec . They just needed the data most of all to prove CHS . Thats what some of the partners were waiting on based on what Coretec said 2 years or so ago.
