Double post... Please delete
Sec filings show what he makes and it's not $450k in 3 months... It's $20,000 a month or $240,000 a year.
Saleen s7 was produced from the ground up... Including the frame unlike the Hennessy which used the lotus exige chassis. Saleen also assembled the WHOLE CAR in the USA. They didn't ship it off to England or anywhere else like Hennessy. Saleen produced the S7 at there plant in Irvine,CA
So IMO other then Hennessy having the worlds fastest car Saleen still holds the title to the fastest America Supercar as it was actually completely assembled here in the US.
I didn't say anything about the fastest production car... Only the difference between saleen being a manufacture and Hennessy bring a tuner. Here is a link for everyone viewing pleasure to see how saleen is truly looked at as a manufacture and NOT a tuner and to also backup that Saleen is a real company:
http://www.nadaguides.com/Classic-Cars
Now you will not see Hennessy in that list... Or even Roush for that matter which is MUCH more comparable to Saleen if we want to compare apple to oranges... These prices go back the whole way to 1984 when Steve started Saleen Autosport... Which actually started with 3 1983 cars being built in a garage at that time.
I agree with you. Can't wait for the boost in 2014!!!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saleen#Corporate_maturity
"Beginning in 2002 and at the request of Ford Motor Company, Saleen was highly instrumental in the design, development and assembly of the Ford GT."
I have been at the Saleen Manufacturing Plant several times... Both in California and also the one that was in Troy,MI and Have been on several tours of the plants etc.
Now what they did at wixom to keep the unions happy (since it is a ford product) is the final assembly which was power train and some interior components. When the car left saleen or aka "SSV" it was a completed roller excluding the powertrain.
As I have stated before... Saleen is a real company and is moving forward. As long as people do there homework on what is really going on you will soon see that there is a very bright future for Steve and his company! This is very much a strong buy IMO which I have already done myself.
Lol...
How many vehicles has Hennessy had in movies but also not including the vehicles saleen has built to be used in movies? And talking about rich and famous there is a huge list of them saleen has sold to. If you use something called google.com I'm sure you can locate all that information.
Now, as for the manufacture versus tuner... I want you to read the first couple lines of these we pages and tell me what you see:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hennessey_Performance
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saleen
Hennessy is a TUNER which saleen is NOT! Please get your facts straight that you cannot compare to two
Really..... Hennessy?
They haven't taken over Saleens market share at all... I would like to know how you figure that?
Also, Saleen has it's own class at national mustang shows and last time I checked there us no mention of Hennessy...
Saleen and Hennessy are 2 completely different companies IMO.
This is not you typical OTC stock. This is a real company with real sales numbers and actually has a product. The volume will continue to get bigger and bigger over the coming months with what is yet to come from Saleen.
I'm just curious what you feel will be long term price per share in a few years? I have my own feeling just want to see what's others think especially once they up list.
Lol... There ya go haha
Lol... Ya maybe. Saleen roots are still with ford so if anything was to happen like that I would see it happening with ford IMO.
We'll that is true. But ever presentation he has done since June he touched on everyone able to own a piece of the company or a car lol. I'm sure if someone went to him and said they would like to purchase 50k of stock privately saleen would do it... But who knows.
Yes some of that could possibly happen. He already has suppliers that he uses on a regular basis... I don't think he would license technology from another manufacture especially gm IMO. But anything is possible lol
Not going to happen... He likes taking a domestic car and making it handle and perform like a European car. He already does 3 manufactures plus working on a new super car and an electric car. And a partnership like that would prob require 50% ownership and he won't do that either.
I would agree... And I feel we will see that sometime in January.
Reading the filing it seems it would be all at once... I'm sure there will also be a filing that will show an increase in Steve's number of shares in the coming days.
Would never happen as ford has svt/Shelby. Even though the saleen s351 is a better car then the cobra, ford just couldn't do it with the Shelby agreement.
Steve's ownership of his company will never dip below 50%! He has made that mistake in the past and won't be doing it again plain and simple. The last time he gave up below 50% ownership he ended up leaving the company several years after that because of the direction the investors thought the company should go he didn't agree with and we all know where that got the investors.... No where at all and Steve ended up back with his brand.
This will now allow further funding/financing ops for Steve to work on his current and future projects.
New directors... A good engineer on staff and IMO we will only go up in 2014.
Increase of authorized shares of common stock from 100,000,000 to 500,000,000 approved dec 11th 2013
It will dip then bounce back... I don't see .20 coming though... In the .30's will be the lowest IMO
I agree with you the the Saleen name is a well respected name... Especially with the ford crowd. The man himself does many shows a year and truly shows his thanks to all his fans/customers he meets. I still think in the long run this will be a good bet and the rewards will out weigh the risk.
Yes... They originally were exempt for 3 years... Then wanted to continue the exception for another 3 years as it would have cost them an additional large sum of money approx $3,800,000 to make occupant crash protection compliant. Not including the time involved. It's just like with the original s351 production that the engine was no longer compliant so they stopped the production and is lays why a "2000" model year s351 was produced on a 1999 chassis.
They were granted again in in 2006 for 1 year on automatic restraint system and 3 years on advanced. Now, if I am correct in saying that Steve left in 2007 and could that be the reason for never developing an air bag system for the s7 and also the end of the production? Also originally they were going to try to use some of the ford airbag systems (ford gt) since they did the assembly for ford but since the ford gt system did not meet the advanced air bag requirements that was not able to be done. For testing purposes they would have to crash test several s7's which is why they cost would be so high but also the development of the system itself.
I'm not disputing what losses they have had or are having but again rebuilding the company is going to take time and $$$.
We will see what happens as I know that there is a lot more to come from saleen and if everything falls into place it will all work out in the end.
They were not going to do r&d for the new safety standards?... What might those be?
No, his history is very relevant as again you do not know what he has done since leaving his company in 2007... As one example wasn't taking a salary for a period of time and some other things that I will not elaborate on.
There are a lot of companies that have losses year after year and yes, he could end up having problems in the future BUT there are a lot of good things to come IMO. No manufacture was built in a day so it will take time especially since the "Saleen" brand has been under his control for just a few short years after getting his name back. The rebuilding process will be a long road, something he takes very serious and is working very hard to accomplish. Don't think he us one of these CEOs living the high life and not working as he works very hard each and every day.
R&d costs are pretty much the top expense as of now with there net losses so once we can get past the r&d point with either the new super car or the electric car there will be good things to come for saleen.
The s7 isn't a flop at all... It isn't produced anymore.
And you obviously don't know much history about Steve himself and what he has or haven't done to say he is just living the lifestyle he is use too... Actually the whole family for that matter.
I have been around saleen for sometime now and he has a good shot of making it out of penny land if all works out... Especially with electric cars and such.
There is a lot going on out there that all of us don't know about and when one thing finally pops so will the stock. IMO, in years down the road we could see Saleen really take off with what he is working with.
Still old info.... The telephone number is also different from the one listed. This one also lists the Fairbanks address which is old. You can't really go off of the estimated sales from those types of websites imo
That is old information... They are in corona,ca now Irvine. They haven't been in Irvine for almost 5 years now.
