DC - if you mean "we" as in shareholders..
If you mean "we" as in we, the eConnect "family", I think
you're wrong.. lol..
I think Tom has done quite well for himself.
And Egan, according to SEC filings, is not doing too shabby,
see the SI board..
He AND his wife each has $1500/month car allowances, he's
paying himself $120k/yr, his wife (I believe) gets $100k/yr..
And the story goes on......
"Nothing is either good or bad, thinking makes it so"..
Helicopter Guy..
His name is Terry Roslington, and he seems pissed.
Allegedly Tom owes him some money, and he's not paying him.
Sounds like something a poster here went through as well?
And they defaulted on the COMDEX booth, and supposedly Peter,
c/o owner of 777wins, is still owed $200k he can't get from
Tom..
Funny pattern for a company valued in the millions..
Of course, everyone could be lying..
My 2 cents.. Shame this went on this long..
:)
"Nothing is either good or bad, thinking makes it so"..
Redcat..
I believe your enthusiasm is getting in your way..
No disrespect..
Obviously Tom has either no idea of how to build a business, or
IMHO, he's a crook.
Good luck!
"Nothing is either good or bad, thinking makes it so"..
Hello TW -
Why have you never stepped forward before now?
What else do you know? lololol..
Is ANY of it real?
"Nothing is either good or bad, thinking makes it so"..
magoo - I will look at those - lol.. Though I am 100% out of the market right now waiting for the dust to settle.. To scary for me right now..
Sorry if I sounded too harsh by the way..
"Nothing is either good or bad, thinking makes it so"..
I bet however it's "structured", a few bucks will make their
way into Tom's pockets irregardless of merit..
The PR says it all..
Sorry I remain skeptical, but there's just no substance to any
of this, any which way you turn or twist it..
"Nothing is either good or bad, thinking makes it so"..
magoo
remember ,you don`t know who is on the other side of this chat board so try not to assume that you are better than they are. Show some respect and you will get it back in many ways. bmagoo
Just thought you'd appreciate me reposting the most accurate
item in all of your posts..
You add few comments of substance relating to eConnect, head
your own advice and perhaps you will enjoy life a little more..
Fact is, you don't have to own a particular stock to engage in
a discussion about it.. I suggest that you stop reading the posts here if you don't like them.. Or deal..
Sorry, but your belligerant attitude hit a nerve, as I am sure
it was supposed to..
I have been in and out of eConnect 4 or 5 times now, and I will, with or without YOUR permission, continue to add my 2 cents every now and then..
Good luck!
"Nothing is either good or bad, thinking makes it so"..
ummm.. What revenues?
"Nothing is either good or bad, thinking makes it so"..
lol f55.. I guess that was directed at me eh?
Hey listen, I HAVE.. And I did sell, recently.. But it does not
stop me from WHINING about the injustice bestowed upon us..
Hey, we can all sit on the beach around the campfire and pretend we are having a great time with eConnect.. But we are
really NOT.. I refuse to just "follow" and shut up..
I suppose you would have gladly drunk your cup of kool aid, but
I'd like to think that I would have questioned ole' Jim's
motives, just like I do good ole' Tom's..
I think we can share our different opinions on a positive note,
I no longer try to talk any longs into seeing it "my way", vice
versa, respect my opinion and right to post it, whether I ever
was a shareholder, whether I "deserve it" like you do (or not), or whether or not I have ever myself started a business..
BTW- for what it's worth, I am on my 3rd..
;)
"Nothing is either good or bad, thinking makes it so"..
I think he's got his goals and objectives mixed up..
Spinning off eConnect Caribbean establishes VALUE for
eConnect shareholders? And helps/aids/or speeds up the
launching of PERFECT?
I wonder if he sits around his house all week-end, talking to
himself, saying those things over and over and over until he
himself starts "to believe".. Then puts it in a PR..
Come on guys, let's hear some true, honest and REAL opions..
"Nothing is either good or bad, thinking makes it so"..
What's new? What do you expect?
This is the only way IMHO they can keep the cash cow full
of cash.. They're running out of shares and deals to pump..
Nothing surprising in this latest PR, and nothing of substance..
I just wonder how long it'll be before people stop buying the BS, the dream, the dangling carrot.. Tom is, IMHO, plain out RIPPING PEOPLE OFF, and I think he knows, it's all calculated..
Phheewww what a mess..
"Nothing is either good or bad, thinking makes it so"..
I agree Jordan..
And I always thought his licensing deal with HIMSELF was suspect.. What a great deal for him.. Lease your patents to a
public company you create, let the shareholder's pay for it,
and pretty much limit your downside risk to zero..
If the public venture fails, take your millions, relax on an island somewhere or in Europe for 6-12-18 months, come back,
and redo the whole thing..
I think it's calculated AND fraudulent..
But in the end, you are right.. We all know the risk, and we're all privy (for the most part) to the same public info.
My DD says STAY AWAY!
"Nothing is either good or bad, thinking makes it so"..
40% is awfully close to a 50/50 scenario..
I think that's grossly optimistic considering the last
2 years events and the fact that Tom has never, to my knowledge, built a company with revenues.
I think one day we'll all be able to communicate with each
other worldwide through little ear pieces for free..
Can I patent that? Will that ever happen? yes, and of course..
It doesn't mean I am the person to make it happen..
I know I have a reputation for being a little nasty when it comes to eConnect, but I think more and more of you are starting to ask the same questions that I have been asking since day one. (my day one - lol)
Though I said earlier I thought there was about a 5% chance of
eConnect "succeding", I would suggest to Tom that he take the
route of selling the patents and whatever he has "working" to one of the bigger boys, maybe he could actually recover some of those millions he spent on ...... welll.. you know..
"Nothing is either good or bad, thinking makes it so"..
5%
"Nothing is either good or bad, thinking makes it so"..
Jim.. Great post.. LONG overdue..
When you look at the facts presented, it does not take a
scientist to read the writing on the wall..
Tom used 40 MILLION + shares to secure financing.. Alliance and Alpha Venture registered to sell..
IMHO - they're doing nothing but printing money.. FOR THEMSELVES..
I personally wonder how these guys find each other out there in the big old world..
"Nothing is either good or bad, thinking makes it so"..
kkgd.. Who IS Q? lol
And what PR?
Good points Jarta..
You seem to have done a good bit more DD on Mr. Pazian
than I..
But I still think there's someone out there, perfect for the job..
Jor.. It's funny to watch everyone scramble to force the company into success.. Why isn't the founder?
If eConnect did nothing but distribute FREE PADS to their
shareholders and sold T-shirts off of their site, at least
they'd be generating some revenues to pay for day to day
operations..
Besides, IF the products is revolutionary, which it COULD BE,
isn't it important to get it "out there", and asap before
they get into a REAL cash crunch.. Or before something else
comes to market.. Cause GOD KNOWS they will not be able to
keep up should someone else come to market faster..
I still think Tom and his team is scattered all over the place
like a bewildered entrepreneur who sees opportunities everywhere and never commits to making any ONE THING succesful.. Not necessarily a crime, but not good for investors.. It explains the slew of hobby websites they keep registering and setting up for no reason.. And the racecars, and the WSJ ad, and the UNheard readio spots on the internet,
and the "partner" website banners.. I just don't think they're
capeable of running a succesful business enterprise..
We, as human beings, IMHO, just assume because Tom is in business for himself, and just because he has a staff, millions at his disposal, a "sexy" product etc etc, that he knows what he's doing.. THat he or his cohorts know how to run a business..
I think there are some clever shareholders who could do a beter job.. Not me, but some shareholders.. I think Pazian was
the man for the job.. Why did he bail? Why was he not replaced with another seasoned business person capeable of steering this ship in the right direction?
Questions, oohhhhhhh questions..
DC - what's your take on that particular "transaction", how do
you interpret it? What was its' purpose?
It makes no sense whatsoever..
Kevin.. That's how it looks to me too, but I am also no accountant..
Public records DO show that Tom bought the house on Eaglehaven,
which, as it "appears", he was renting for a number of years..
Anyways, just a sidenote..
I like how folks are starting to dig up this info, AND how they're "open" to new answers..
Time will help unravel this mystery.
Kev..
I heard Tom refers to all his "cohorts" as White Knights..
Came from someone formerly involved with 777wins.com..
And..
http://ccfcorp.dos.state.fl.us/scripts/corofflis.exe
May be of interest..
EXACTLY..
"Let's see some free pads, a merchant list, acquisition of NDFC, spin-off of the gaming section, ATM + PIN approval (or at least one of the foregoing). Real revenue might be nice too!
DC - absolutely.. I agree..
Perhaps that would explain the mass exodus lately, I have
read many posts by disgruntled longs..
But I have a feeling..
Let's just say I am knee deep in crab right now and I am hoping
someone will drop me a revenueROPE and pull me onto safer ground.
I jumped in with both feet this time, I put it all on
ECNC green!
lol.. Let's get this puppy back to $2..
But we need revenues..
My sentiments exactly..
But the NDFC deal isn't the only thing that was "touted" in the past year that did not come to fruition..
What happened to anything that ever appeared in a pre-2001
PR?
If they're working behind the scenes to get things up and running, so be it, but we need to stay informed as to what the heck is going on.
I know it must be a PAIN to deal with every other average Joe trying to get involved in your business, but they ARE a public
company and they have responsibilities to their shareholders,
both morally and by law..
Of course, if it's a scam, THERE ARE NO RULES!
I am back on the train and trading like a moron..
Ricky.. Whatever that last comment was - you should PM me
all the nasty ones so they will not be removed.. lol
How about ATMdirect.com?
lol magoo.. post some info then..
What's up with ATMdirect.com?
DCinNJ come on, why are you being so rude? Can't we all just get along? lol..
Today was a bad day for all of us, and many of us have had enough. Let's just agree to disagree, okay?
Cheers to everyone, and I hope this bad boy rises from the ashes, cause lots of people will be hurt if it does not.
Jarta.. I know how you must feel..
I sold 75% of my position at a loss, but I am still "up"
on my 4-5 trips, but it's sad to see everyone in so deep
they adapt an "all or nothing" mentality.. That'll kill your
portfolio IMHO..
I think the key here is capital preservation so you'll be able to play next week, next month and next year. I know it's at a rediculous price right now, but what if it goes lower or to zero?
BTW - I am not suggesting anyone sell, just saying that I think it's important to preserve your capital, however little
it may have shrunk to.. There will be other days and other stocks to help you rebound.. Other opportunities.. But without cash, or with most of your cash tied up in eConnect, you may just lose it all, lose out on other opportunities, and perhaps worst of all, cause yourself a lot of grief and headaches..
We should not forget what has happened this past year..
Of course, if ECNC acconts for a small portion of your portfolio, or if it's just play money you're willing to lose, well, then all the rules change..
Good luck!..
I had averaged at about $.31 and sold at $.22 so I lost almost
30% in no time, but I have cash now to put into other things,
and I don't watch the stock second by second.. lol
lazy.. I just called and asked for Fred Biddle, he was not in, asked for someone else who could help me with "eConnect", she said that would be Fred and confirmed eConnect is STILL A CLIENT..
I think you need to call back later..
Thanks Jordan..
I thought I was clear..
Merchants should be lining up to use this technology if it's
working and if it's ready..
They don't seem to be..
Anyway, I am definitely tired of fighting..
Time will tell who is right or wrong, as if it really matters.
Good luck to all!
No need posting proof.. Again $50 and I will fax you my
ECNC buy/sell trading record.. lol
I should make it $100..
Dale.. Actually I never excited..
Seriously.. Call me paranoid, but I thought maybe
I was holding it down.. lol..
All kidding aside, I still have shares.. My trading record
on ECNC is available for anyone willing to shelve out $50.. lol
I know I lied about selling, but...... All ni good fun.. I
told a couple of SI pals about not selling but posting I had,
they found it humorous.. Apparently at least one poster
thought my selling was responsible for the stock moving up
a couple of pennies, lolol, but we know that ain't so..
So.. he he
Good luck!
David - I read your bio..
Please don't throw stones, your background is not that impressive.
There are lots of things a start-up should not do, and Tom
are doing a lot of those things.
Lots of things a start-up should do, and plenty that Tom is not.
I am just bystander offering my opinion, and I happen to own
shares.
The argument will be solved in time.. But I bet, IF the company
turns out to be a scam or goes out of business, you will surely
defend it to your grave and blame others for its demise.
We'll all see in due time.
Dai. That was fair.. But I don't pretend to be nice only
to turn around and get nasty when I don't like the reply.
That you are wrong about. Your other points are well taken.
I practice what I preach. YOu and I are not on even turf, and
you did do something to ****s me off, so I fought back.
Anyway, it's an endless argument, I am willing to stop the
hash slinging, are you?
Casper - and I "threw" you.
If you don't care about Tom dishing out free shares
as though it was candy, that's your right.
I, as a shareholder, have the right to ask these questions.
I don't think they're dumb questions, perhaps one day you
will appreciate people who control their own destiny, as
opposed to the many who just bob around in the big ocean,
flowing with the waves, ending up where ever they may.
Good luck to you.
Dave - do you by any chance know the car owners name?
I wonder if the shares he's holding were given to him..
Hmmmmmmm.
Ohhh my.. I missed that post DC, PM me.. lol
Thanks Jordan for being "on the ball".. lol
Dave.. More hateful comments..
If you think most businesses give out thousands of shares
in order to land contracts, YOU know nothing about business..
Why don't McDonald's give you a share of their stock if
you buy a burger? Or two if you leave with a full meal?
YOu make NO sense..
The prospective "merchant" should be given ZERO shares, the
product should enrich that merchants business and THAT is
enough.. You don't go out and buy merchants unless you're
crazy, desperate or a fraud..
Good luck to you.
