Just a heads up, I found the following extract from a Preferred Penny Stock post in my email box:
"In our opinion it was recent news released by the company that triggered panic, and allowed short sellers to see what they dream about. The bright side of all this is that the weak are most certainly shaken out at this point, and we should begin to see this thing breakout".
Seriously? Did the really just call several folks they recommend stock purchases to "weak?". Wow!

I'll definitely take a look. I trimmed down to ASTI, SOWP, FSLR and TSL. Can't seem to walk away from them (emotional guilt for what the world has to face in the year's to come when I'm worm dirt - smiling). After living abroad for some 20 years (Middle East, Far East, Africa and all over Europe), it's clear a lot of folks won't be worried about fossil fuel depletion until 2050 and beyond.
Heck, we haven't even come to grips with the Boomers, Gen X, Y and the new gens. We have 70% of the Boomers who will never be able to retire and Social Security won't bear that weight (nor Medicare), the Gen X and Yer's waiting in line for middle and upper tier management position because Boomers won't move on and my kids wondering how they're going to "jump echelon" and leave the Gen X and Yer's breathing exhaust fumes.
Lots of social issues ahead but the future is bright.

low,
Had a friend ask me today, so what would you put you're money into if asked yesterday. I paused, then began to speak out of pure conjecture, then said, "don't know, that's a great question." Guess it's the sign of the time but I know she knows I'm renewable (solar) heavy and it's in the drink right now. The only advice I like to give at work is totally work related--how can I help, what we need to accomplish, perhaps how we need to accomplish and what hot irons aren't really hot.
Cheers!
SS1
lowtrade. You're telling what my gut tells me on ATRN and that's a good thing! You're the man. Sun's come here in St Louis and it appears spring's upon us. Time to spend more time mowing the acre of grass and tending to the yard...yes, and drinking beers on the riding mower! Lol!
SS1
Sorry revlis,
Looks like APS lost some followers today. With the bounce that happened in a short hour, I can't see the mass majority reacting to the bounce quick enough if you didn't have advance knowledge draft downwards was so steep. Interest...like the disney ride, Tower of Terrors. The Dark Lords are at work here... Hoping this pans out for you in the long run!

Anyone have ideas on the SNPK meltdown and Phoenix-like resurrection around 2:30 today? Haven't witnessed anything like that before. Bad release at 2:16 and the stock went from the .60's down to.30's in minutes and within the hour was back up to the low .50s. That was cosmic as it was APSs start pick.
I pondered buying on the dive but knew USAA but OTC is slow and only folks in the know would have capitalized on the panic dump of shares. Something fishy and I think APS will take the brunt of the blame.
SS1
Serious blood-letting going on with SNPK right now....
Pich,
Found this (as you most likely did as well) on the SVNT site (Courtesy of Arnold): http://seekingalpha.com/article/382031-3-biotech-takeover-lbo-potential-targets-being-snapped-up-by-insiders.
Seems like CHTP might be an option?
SS1
low,
Also picked up OEDV at .07 and .14. Looks like they're headed for blue sky if the well rportsat the EOM are promising.
SS1
Low,
Trust all is well. Have been stifled with the day job and loss of folks means I get to do their work...joy. Anyway, I'm curious with your thoughts on PCFG. Further, I left the ATRN train a@ .20 but remain very small in case some miracle happens there. Are you following those goes and all the merger rhetoric? You sanity check appreciated.
Best regards,
SS1
P.S. Best super hero dreamed up! Your kids are spot on.
Thanks fred. Believe we actually have a decent company with some scruples and concern for the stock holder. Cheers!
SS1
Erod,
So, assuming I'm a betting man...guess me being with "skin" in the game; I see the comments on mergers and the like a possibility. If I'm the interim CEo and I want Atrinsic to merge with my company, I think it's wise I let the price drive down to the lowest possible point before announcing? Your thoughts?
SS1
Copy. That's my read. That said, I'm trying to understand what the 49,500 sell of question mark of a sale was at morning. In the trades it appears black. Thoughts? Thanks.
SS1
Cosmic,
You averaging down?
SS1
No telling Fred, why don't you tell us? Think you made a good move if if was prior to several weeks ago? Congrats.
SS1
Thinking we might see more posters here. Breaking the $1.00 mark is significant...very nice.
SS1
Smooth,
I'm with you here. "Yep, were getting cash to grow" but revenue and capital are King. Companies don't stay in business borrowing money and parlaying shares. Since I bought in low, will most likely shed some to cover my initial investment and let the rest ride.
SS1
No answer. :-/
jft,
I think they need their new executive who seems to have a good resume for international endeavors work his magic. It's going to be a long year for solar and pushing the tariff decision off until May isn't going to resolve the subsidies issue--IMHO. Hopefully they'll start the Cali plant that Buffet's Mid-Western will definitely reap the profits from for 25+ years. All JMHO.

Firm planning solar power facility at Hagerstown prison has new owner
By DON AINES dona@herald-mail.com
8:11 p.m. EDT, March 14, 2012
Maryland Solar LLC, the company that announced plans last year to build a 20-megawatt solar power-generating facility on the grounds of the Maryland Correctional Institution, has been acquired by First Solar Inc., which intends to complete the project by the end of the year.
Headquartered in Tempe, Ariz., First Solar announced the acquisition on Wednesday, but spokesman Alan Bernheimer said the cost of the purchase is not being disclosed. Get the information you need fast. Sign up for our Breaking News alerts today.
“We expect to begin (construction) sometime in the second quarter,” said Roy Skinner, the project developer for First Solar.
The solar farm on about 160 acres of state prison land off Garis Shop and Roxbury roads should be completed by the fourth quarter of this year, Skinner said.
First Solar will use the thin-film, photovoltaic modules it manufactures for the solar farm, Bernheimer said. It makes the modules at plants in the United States, Germany and Malaysia, he said.
Maryland Solar LLC had originally planned to begin construction before the end of 2011 to take advantage of a federal grant in lieu of a 30 percent tax credit for renewable energy projects.
Although construction did not begin before the end of 2011, Bernheimer said the tax credit is still available for the solar farm.
Jon Moore, a consultant to First Solar, said last year that the project would cost about $70 million to build. That estimate remains in that ballpark, Moore said Wednesday.
About 125 people will be employed during construction, and operation of the plant is expected to create “two to three full-time equivalents,” he said.
The agreement to lease the land from the state is still in effect, Moore said.
The plant is expected to be capable of generating enough electricity to power about 2,700 average homes and displace 23,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide a year — the equivalent of taking 4,400 cars off the road, according to a First Solar news release.
The project has a contract to sell electricity and renewable energy credits to FirstEnergy Solutions, the release said.
First Solar has another project in Emmitsburg, Md., a 16.1-megawatt project being built for Constellation Energy on the campus of Mount St. Mary’s College, Bernheimer said.

Hannibal,
Thought I read we had two wells drilled. Are you referring to a third? Thanks.
SS1
Screaming Eagle,
I share you optimism here. Though a small corp of folks running this effort, it's clear they've positioned the investor for some nice gains.
SS1
Swalinbar,
What's you're thoughts on the South American play and is it really worth expanding the play down in that area?
SS1
Ed, This is some good research. I'm tracking some of the SD plays and it looks like Osage is definitely in a position to capitalize on positive news in the immediate area. Still more work to do here but I feel a lot better about OEDV than I did RCKE. Thanks for the insight.
SS1
I st hid the Shirley that moderates the ATRN board? If so, please send m a PM on the site so I don't vet my concerns with your approach to moderating the boards you're responsible for... Thanks SS1
Real,
We'll chat tomorrow. I'm in the St Louis area. Have a paper to finish for my Doctorates course on Global Operations. These sites bring that to a new level.
Peace
Buzz
Real,
Will do (via email).
Cheers,
Buzz
Henry,
What's a good time to call tomorrow (CST)? Thanks.
Buzz
Chin Wolfy,
If you would, please elaborate on your post, "sanity" is not statistical" (Chin Wolfy, 2012). I'm interested in your perspective and .
Thanks in advance.
SS1
lucky, that's assuming we get there. What's your take on the new CEO? Leadership can be a game-changer. Not sure form this one's bio on facebook he falls in that category. He seems to have a background in insurance and banking but I'm not sure if that equates to international and cross-border integration experience. Not sure the core of folks at CATA have worked in Laos or the Far East--the culture is vastly different and $3M and $5M to get the ball rolling is a steep cost. Talking to a few of my disabled Vietnam vet brothers, the environment (terrain) there is not like mining in Nevada or Arizona.
Trying to do some DD and will report later in the week. Have a paper to finish for my Doctorates course on South America (Chile). I also might get kicked off the board for disagreeing with the mods and admin who seem to apply the iHub rules whenever they feel like it. Anyway, for those serious about doing DD and sharing--I'm in. For pumpers and euphoric thrill seekers, you can ignore my posts please.
Peace and Goodwill,
SS1
Henry,
Buzz (SS1) here. What number did you call? Provide and I'll call tomorrow and provide feedback.
Peace,
SS1
This is an interesting post. Like many on this site, we do some level of DD before we make investment decisions--I'd encourage that everyon not vacate from that practice to keep the malice and discontent down to a minimum. That said, this post intrigues me and has me doing additional work to discover what Mr. Scott Moestra is all about. Here's a start.
I see on his linked in site a non-profit organization I worked with while teaching my High School students at at Federal Way High School (JROTC), WA, the value of giving back without getting paid in cash. In sum, World Vision is a "Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice" (World Vision, 2012, n.p.). I did a search of their dbase and found nothing under "Scott Moesta", "Moesta" "benefits" or old news--found nothing. Per his Linked in site, he's worked there since 1995 (17 years and 3 months) as the "Benefits Manager, World Vision; Nonprofit; 10,001+ employees; Nonprofit Organization Management industry" (World Vision, 2012, n.p.).
What's important here is that leadership is seminal and a primary catalyst for any companies growth and legitimacy. More DD ahead as I'll try and contact Mr. Moesta to ascertain his background and whether or not, he was the aforementioned contributor to World Vision. More to follow.
Cheers,
SS1

Thanks Peppertrader,
It appears there is no information here that would indicate SPLI is moving forward with the two bids (RFI/Ps) they announced earlier this year. We all collect different info from telecons but I must ask...there was not mention of future contract bids? That's not really a legal matter and is public knowledge that they've submitted a bid? Further, why aren't these guys shopping FedBiZOps.gov for work? If any of these guys are Vets (disabled a major plus), competitive small business folks could be considered front runners in contracts they can actually deliver on. If you talk to "Joel", this might be worth mentioning. Just a small "matter of opinion": Small business equates to 65% of the jobs in America ...

When Teams Form ....
Dr. Pennystock,
You have an array of followers and "the views of others", although irrelevant in the big picture, are relevant. JMHO, you've reiterate a lesson here that is seminal to social networking sites--anyone who has access to a computer and this site can comment (enough said). Keep the faith and perhaps you'll still have a following upon your return (I know I'll be looking forward to the weeks of T/A you'll be doing and the "VOICE" that will follow!).
Peace and Gooodwill,
SS1
mrpickem,
Any revenue numbers from that add? JMHO, but revenue is what it's all about if ATRN ever wants to see the big board. Open to thoughts.
Thanks, Peace, and Goodwill,
SS1
smoke em,
I'm thinking ATRN needs to hire you as their lead marketer! Jeesh, this pump about all marketing being done on Facebook is a little premature. Rationale: Most of the money isn't in the hands of the social networking community, it's in the top 10% of the class 7 money who understand the big boards. What I see here is the Keno Room at the Frontier in Lost Wages. No bad towards you ... you seem to be one of the very few knowledgeable posters in the ATRN domain. All that said, this is truly a fascinating group to observe.
Peace and Goodwill,
SS1
Jimmy/Shirley,
Wow. As a newcomer this seems pretty severe. What kind of insurrection or foul play leads to this kind of banishment? This is a small time board of maybe 200 followers and Dr. P has a paid service as well? Do you think this will impact that service as well? Further, was there an integrity issue or is this just someone making false accusations about recommendations to buy/sell while Dr. Pennystock was doing the opposite? I'm a little perplexed here and could use some thoughts from the board.
NOTE: from my personal opinion, in the last two weeks of reviewing the comments on this board, it appears Dr. Pennystock was trying to provide the best possible opinion he could provide in answer to the queries presented. As I believe he stated on several occasions, he's not a financial subject matter expert and made it clear folks need to do their own due diligence before making their own decisions on investing.
Again, so I have it right, Dr. Penneystock has no formal education in finance and investing and he's made it clear on several accounts (specifically over the past two weeks that I've reviewed). For folks to attack an individual who's trying to provide meaningful information to the masses (say 200 folks), is simply wrong. He/she has qualified his/her position and that's important in my humble opinion. To ban him/her from the board is simply wrong as there are other boards that curse, bad mouth, and talk trash that in my perspective reflects poorly on iHub.
Shirley,
Please contact me if you want the board and perps I mentioned above. I'm not sure what Pennystock said but he/she maintains they reacted to an unfair post. Perhaps you might want to get a vote on the content of the discussion before passing judgment? OPen to your thoughts.
SS1
Really. If you don't mind sharing, what was the content of the conversation and what are they working on now? Thanks in advance.
SS1
baz,
I echo your thoughts. Can't see why Young and associates haven't dropped $5K on the promo or at least say something about the company..."Hey, we upgraded our tool crib or threw a customer relations party with your investment in us!" Something ... anything would be nice.
SS1
WWW,
The past 8-10 of your posts provide a history of this companies response and apparent, minimal success. How do you figure things will turnaround for these guys when they won't answer emails sent to their "Contact Us" address? One poster relates they've actually spoken to someone on the phone. Has anyone called the businesses they list as references? Just curious... Thanks in advance for researching and posting.
Cheers,
SS1
