Good call, up 63% today...
I'm still in with house money. I had a really nice profit of a few thousand during the last run, and kept about $400 of it in. I always do that with pennies, kind of like a really expensive lottery ticket JUST IN CASE they ever become real companies and I can buy a small island with the proceeds.
So even though that $400 is now $29, I am not what clowns around these parts call a "bagholder" - just a bemused observer with 4 lottery tickets in my portfolio. One is AGRT.
WFT one of 4 stocks that billionaires are buying:

"Weatherford International Ltd (WFT) is a company which specializes in providing equipment and services for drilling evaluation, completion, production and intervention of oil and natural gas wells. As seen on the table below there have been 3 Weatherford board members buying the stock aggressively, initiating a total of 10 BUY transactions since November 2012. To add weight to the story, billionaire fund manager Dan Loeb's' company, Third Point, has also reported new ownership in Weatherford. Third Point has reported a position of 4 million shares. This is a link to Third Point's latest SEC filing. Weatherford's stock price has come down 22% over the last 12 months and the PEG ratio of 0.5 suggests that analysts are expecting a strong rebound in the company's earnings. Going off the 5 year PEG ratio, Weatherford is one of the highest upside stocks in billionaire Dan Loeb's portfolio. The five-year PEG is 0.5 as a result of high growth expectations and moderate earnings multiples. The forward P/E ratio of Weatherford is 10 times earnings."
About time they got on board!
Well, much respect then. GLTY.
I am still waiting, I have to say I like what I've been seeing.
If this is "out of business," well, I hope all my stocks go "out of business" on a monthly basis.
Still haven't bought the Vues I am giving for Christmas this year...but the real lesson is: stop listening to naysayers. Find a good, undervalued company - buy and hold, buy and hold.
Congrats to the longs who had the foresight back in May when we all got in between $17-$23.
~Scrooge
Plus, everyone who needs the latest and greatest will update to the Vue for Christmas. All signs say buy and hold.
People are finally realizing the so-called patent expirations are nonsense and this is a $35 stock.
I agree, timing is everything and Q1 2013 looks pretty promising...
Well said, Jett. As always, great to have your insight contributed.
If that outlook is "buy and hold," you're in a good place.
Thanks Joe, much respect. I was wondering when Einhorn would finally cover...predictable shot in the arm there.
Let's see what today looks like then talk about whether this is still a good 'long' call. That will then lead to whether or not I buy my wife a Vue for Christmas :)
Yes sir! This was a great investment, once everyone got off that silly "patent expiration" nonsense.
And I don't even think the Vue Christmas orders have really started yet...
Yes, aren't you the guy I advised to buy in around $18?
YOU'RE WELCOME!
I'll take a "decay" like this any time!
Hopefully you have left the prediction business for good.
No one does that anymore? I guess that's why "no one" really builds wealth, then.
Grinding it out - trying to guess the 'tops' and 'dips' - for a few dollars here and there, sounds like missing the forest for the trees to me.
AProfundus got it right, it's ok to take profits now and then (I've even done that twice with NBS when I needed some quick cash for other ventures) as long as your *main* position is buy and hold.
Best of luck to you, andy!
People realized it's time to buy and hold, and stop trying to nickel and dime an unbelievably good long-term investment.
I think anyone with a long-term view saw this coming.
From this past May: http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=75741426
I encourage you to hold the rest for $5 - $7 over the next few months.
It's always nice to make any kind of profit. BUT...this is an investment, no more nickel and diming. Plenty of penny stocks out there for that :)
PRRY up 19% today. Could this be the beginning of things to come?
Nobody knows, but nice to see all that green at least for today :)
Well said. The only part I would disagree with is that there can be a "real" company that gets used in what you describe as a pump and dump. There's more than one way to make money, and many on here believe in AGRT as a real company.
That means long after the greedy chasers are out - which does, in fact, usually lead to a long-term downtrend in pps and volume - there is money to be made in buying and holding patiently.
Ideally, you can profit both ways. I have done that in a few penny stocks over the last 1-2 years. With AGRT, I made money during the 2nd run ("pump" if you will) and held some shares as house money in case things do pan out long-term.
JOEZ - up over 10% today, do some DD, serious potential here.
Forget the "slowly" - now up over 10%!
JOEZ - up 9.53% today, do some DD, potential two to three bagger.
Yes, we are slowly climbing up today, more confirmation this is a buy and hold.
Thanks...but not just yet, friend. Let's ride this past $1 again first :)
It looks like both were right (first $1.40, now .70) - allowing me to jump back in!
I'm not overly concerned about it. From yesterday's MF:
"There are several reasons NeoStem looks promising as a biotechnology investment. First, the company is focusing on several promising areas of new stem cell treatment development. Second, its contract manufacturing business brings in revenues to offset some of its drug development expenditures. Third, the contract manufacturing business could earn substantial royalties if any of the products on which it works with customers proves to be a commercial success. Now that it has shed its Chinese pharmaceutical business and renewed its focus on stem cell technology, I believe it has become a prime acquisition candidate. I urge investors looking for exposure in the biotech sector to further research and consider NeoStem today."
All that to say, IF dilution occurs in the near future, it will not even slow down the long-term prospects for this stock.
I'll take Game Over every time if it means a 700% gain!
We have hit .59, now would be a good TTA.
That's about where I sold. Back in at .71, now it's time for patience. This is an investment, not a gamble and certainly not a "POS." Buy and hold, stop checking every 10 minutes. Every stock dips...in 3-6 months you will be sitting pretty.
"Stocks on the Pink Sheets system fall between the cracks of regulation. The NASD regulates brokers, not the stocks they trade. The Securities and Exchange Commission, with few exceptions, regulates only companies with more than $10 million in assets and more than 500 shareholders. Virtually no stocks traded on the Pink Sheets clear that bar."
If you guys got your money back as one of those "few exceptions," that's awesome. It's not typical, not to be expected, and 3 dozen posts on a losing penny stock board any given day saying ominously "I'm thinking about contacting the SEC" could be better served by doing research before putting money into a ridiculously not-real-company penny stock the next time.
You'll have to point me to a link or something direct, I didn't see anything on ihub about that (don't have a ton of time today to dig)...
What specifically did you want me to check out about that one?
One correction...the SEC would not in any way be interested. That is one of the biggest fallacies on penny boards.
Everyone say it with me: The SEC does not regulate pink sheet stocks. That's like calling the IRS to complain about your losing lottery ticket.
Good to hear about Vern's honesty, though.
Yes, exactly. Nice trade...now it's time to be patient and wait for profits.
I made almost 50% during TLON's last run, back in at .71 here.
The fact that a $2 stock is at .60 was a good enough catalyst for me...
If I could put this as a sticky on every penny stock board that exists, I would.
Unfortunately, greed and fear combined with ignorance seem to rule the day for most around these parts...
Thanks SPT - I was aware that he likely existed, my point is nothing he has been quoted as saying has had any (positive) impact on the PPS, so it's funny when people post that "Tyler said ____" like it's something to get excited about.
Smart to have everything in writing, but either way feels like a waste of time...
Yes they have, hopefully it's a not-too-expensive lesson for the future.
Buy stock based on facts, not "news" that may or may not ever come (or people on a message board saying they talked to some guy named Tyler, that one always cracks me up).
