“Yes, the new community guidelines will coarsen the dialogue (to put it mildly) “
Yes, and I don’t need any more trolls in my life. So, after about fifteen years on IHub I will be closing my account after I send this. Really appreciate the great DD many of you have done over years. For the others — you know who you are — move out of your parent’s basement and get a life!
Go Biel!
“It seems clear. to me at least, that the tends indicate that product doesn't seem to have any "stickiness" with the consumers.”
The problem is not with the product, it is with the inconsistency of the marketing. In CVS, not in CVS, in CVS as KT tape product, then not. And on and on. The consumer wants to go to CVS week after week for years and not wonder if the ActiPatch will be on the shelves — like Tens, IcyHot, etc. it’s like when one likes a restaurant but stops going there because it’s only open when the owner feels like it.
One can judge a true consumer base by the loyal IHub consumers who who find a way to get another patch. My first two or three were marketed for animals, and I had friends bring them back England when you could get them there. Last time Biel had a sale I bought thirty. Loyal customers know it works, but the average or first-time customer won’t do that. They just can never rely on where to get it so just move on.
Italy — “pain in the feet”
South African “Dutch”
Actually it is Afrikaans. The Dutch first settled at the Cape in 1652. Over the next two hundred years the Dutch evolved into a recognizable different language, called Afrikaans. Very simpler to Dutch of course but more than a dialect. English colonists came later, and Afrikaans and English are now two of the eleven official languages of S A.
The ad shows that Alcock is advertising wider than English speakers — be interesting if there are ads also in Zulu, Xhosa, Tswana, etc. There are millions of speakers of these languages.
Go Biel!!
AstraSeneca, Costco, and RRDonnely, just to name a few. Very close to Washington and Baltimore.
What does it mean again if the MMs do a 1 share trade — at .0007?
TIA
Last time we had the kind of news Biel should be releasing every month, was back when they announced FDA approval. That was a Monday. The previous Friday there was a ton of buying and price rise — obviously those in the know were getting their cache before the news officially hit. If there’s a lot of buying and price rise tomorrow again, then maybe news tomorrow after hours or Monday. I’m betting on some news related to RecoveryRX.
Thank you, thank you, bows, turns to the left, bows, thank you, thank you…
First time I’ve called one in a long time…
Ok, testing my luck, from the rush of buying at the end, is the announcement (of whatever, but positive) tomorrow??
Looks like we’ll be going for .0007s today. Something is happening and it’s not Biel going out of business. Just looking at the fact that KT tape has introduced a 750 hour version of the Actipatch would tell any reasonable person that.
Remind me not to hire a “CPA” who can’t get the financials of her own company out on time!
No problem with cost - Kelly just tweets. Very professional.
Massive? $3000 or so?
Yes, Sweden.
What alternate universe are you living in? Buys and sell were nearly equal, and all in all, a few hundred bucks for the day.
Anyone else get the April 1 promotion from KT Tape? They’re giving away a Wave free with a certain size purchase. Don’t know if this is good or not. Could be giving away the last few they have on hand to get rid of them. Or, they could be finally trying to really promote them by giving people the chance to try them for free. At this point I’m at a loss at which is it. What a terrible deal this KT deal has been — an overpriced, 250 hour, unadvertised (remember when we all thought they would do Olympics games ads!), renamed (no “Powered by Actipatch” here) disaster. Gave away the store and got nothing — not even on the shelves at Walgreens anymore. Is this KT giving up, or maybe a fresh start? Maybe in another 25 years we’ll know.
What is puzzling to me as well is that we have never received any information about how sales break down worldwide. For example, how many sales in South Africa, which supposedly had a big roll-out this year, or in Canada, Australia, Spain? For all we know, none of these monthly deal announcements, contracts signed, partnerships and distributorships announced after ever resulted in a single sale. That information should be in every report. What other global company never announces it global sales numbers, or for that matter, US sales listed separately? Just another example of the amateur incompetent leadership of this company.
One can join it until one makes the least little negative remark - and then Kelly kicks you off. She can’t take any criticism. If we had a real board of trustees - which would be critical of the CEO (and probably fired Kelly by now), or we had a live shareholders meeting where Kelly would have to listen to criticism —as happens with real CEOs in real companies then maybe we wouldn’t be at .0006.
Market is really impressed, Keith! Drove the price down to .0005!!
SELL SOMETHING!!!
Everyone who thought it possible that we’d get back down to .0005 after FDA approval, raise your hand!
“Instant gratification” does not refer to 10 to 15 years! Or even the two or three that we’ve had FDA approval. That alone usually sends a stock’s price through the roof! And, if you were lucky enough to have bought that stock the day before, that would be instant gratification.
This is what is so frustrating— they work!! I sometimes wear as many as four of them (shoulder, knee, back) and have for years, My wife as well. When Biel had the last big (half price refill) sale - before KT monopoly — I bought 30 of them. And yet, here we are, more than a decade later for me, still at triple zeros.
Will hit .0006-0007 before that, which is what is was years ago, before Keith, before FDA, before Wave, before Kelly, before Braun, before all that — which all has made no difference for shareholders. Here we sit.
2017?!? Try 2008 or 09! We’re heading to .0006-.0007 which is where we were for years - before FDA, Braun, Wave, and a dozen other “train is leaving the station” events! No wonder there’s no trading, it will always be lower, so just wait… I bought some at .0001, so just wait — management is not doing anything to raise the price, so price will just keeping drifting lower.
Right on time!! Someone BOUGHT 5 million!
Here they come!!
3 observations
1) Keith made a fool of himself a year ago by predicting 2021 the “year of Biel!” As the stock price dropped and dropped and dropped he went silent. I can’t imagine he wants to have that humiliation repeated.
2) Biel is not going to be silent between the financials and the call — Keith said there will be a release of what, talking points, a week before his call. That seems to me something that will keep the momentum going, if the financials are good.
3) why would anybody, I.e., Keith, a Biel (the silent company) exec. want to face angry shareholders following a disappointing quarterly report? Why would he want to get everyone excited and then report more of the same disappointing results we’ve heard (some of us) for more than a decade? He might as well just grab a whip and beat himself rather than facing an angry mob of shareholders — who were excited to “jump on the bandwagon!”
I’m excited, but I’ve been excited many times before, so I’ll just wait and see. But Keith is crazy if (following the quarterly report and the “talking points”) he’s not going to set off some fireworks!
For what it’s worth…
Go Biel!

Meanwhile, in real news:
https://www.cnn.com/2022/05/22/business/spiber-spider-silk-fabric-hnk-spc-intl/index.html
“Inspired by spiders, one Japanese startup is inventing a new generation of textiles”
Yes, that’s correct. Can’t keep all the Whelans straight. Obviously a family (but public) business.
Is nobody else going to tell our intrepid researcher that its Mary’ father who is dead. Mary is very alive — which is convenient because she is the current CEO.
I wish they could get them in my local CVS, and most of the CVSs in America!
Yes, yes, you’re right! They’re everywhere! Wow! I wasn’t talking about Target, but boy, Target, Wow!
My Target doesn’t have them, nor does my CVS, or Walgreens, or Dicks, or Walmarts, but boy, if you can find ten stores in the Metro Chicago area, then they must be everywhere. That’s why Biel is selling at .0009 — everyone know they’re in every store and around the world too! Wish I could get one two miles away…
I’ll be a millionaire if it reaches a penny — just hope it doesn’t take another ten years!
Go Target!

Three, I’m not comparing the past to now in any way. I was just pointing out that that CVS distribution in the past was suppose to be a real roll-out, not just a “test.” Everybody was talking about thousands of CVS stores. Everyone was counting how many stores were carrying them as the numbers kept rising. I checked with my local CVS stock manager - she knew nothing about them. But there were prominent displays set up in stores that had them— not just a box on the shelf but a whole separate display. I think we got up to 350 stores or so, with no end seemingly in sight. And then, like so many other “here we go” moments — say, Braun giving out six Actipatch kits per surgery, or Actipatch going into every Boots in the UK — nothing came of it. They just disappeared from the shelves, with no explanation from Biel.
Now, as to now, and KT with a nation wide roll out. One can cherry pick places where there are KT packs in stores — some obscure CVS in Vermont for example. But I’ve been checking several major cities the last couple of years, and the numbers of stores carrying them are dismal. Just some examples:
Chicago area — try zip 60202
Indianapolis area — try zip 46077
Kansas City area — try zip 64030
St. Louis area — try zip 63101
All of these have two or three stores with “in stock”, or “limited,” there are then ten or fifteen or more “out of stock.” This last does NOT mean they had them but are now out of stock. They’ve never had them. I’ve been watching. Numbers have hardly changed for two years.
Hardly any Walmarts, and Targets, and Dick’s, etc. or others carry them yet. I don’t know of any, but occasionally someone mentions one. And heck, if it wasn’t for Hawk and a couple of others we’d hardly know about anything that is going on - and even then we’re left with just a lot of speculation about what it means.
So, after ten plus years here, no one wants a break-out (which sadly now means maybe a penny) more than I do. But I’m no longer holding my breath as to when that will happen.
This isn’t my first rodeo. I’ve been doing these things for years, including five or six years ago when we had the first excitement of “this is it! Actipatches are going into all the CVS stores in America! We’ll all be rich!” That lasted a couple of months, lots of photos of them on the shelves. Everybody was running to their local store to buy one. Then they all just disappeared. And here we are now. I just get tired of how they’re in all these stores - CVS, Walgreens, Dick’s Sporting Goods and now all over the world! — and yet I can’t go two miles down the road and buy one. And, I’ve probably given away more than a lot of the people on this board have ever owned, including ten to my local university’s athletic trainers.
Do most people have local outlets that sell some version of Actipatch? There are only two CVSs within 50 miles of where I am that sell them, and not my local one. If you just check nearly any ZIp code, lots of CVSs don’t sell them, including in many large cities.
I guess I should have said the “appearance” of the package — images, wording and like — which is what the comment was about, not the actual physical package.
But the female athlete is the same as on all KT products. The question was not about the shape or type of container but why there isn’t a man on it. You’re not saying Biel decided on their own to duplicate all of the licensed KT packaging images? Heck, all kind of packaging looks the same, from cigarette cartons to CDs to toilette paper.
Biel is not doing the packaging, KT Tape is. Same model on nearly all their products. Biel has no control of what it looks like, whether it’s on TV or anything else.
Go Biel!
Are you in Canada? The first two I bought were Healfast on Amazon. This was in the US, before Actipatch was available. Did you buy it from Kelly? Was it through a Biel website in CA? Did you ever see any promotion of it in Canada? The feeling on this board for years is that her daddy gave her sales and promotion of Healfast in Canada and she never did anything with it. I suppose Healfast patches are selling everywhere in CA now and all the vets use them because she did such a great job promoting them.
