Is it me, or has the board format changed at IHub?.eom
wanttoberich, as I mentioned, when a PPS drops below the upper Bollinger Band it "usually" means a reversal.
Right now,CHTR is at 4.90 and it looks like that's exactly what it's doing.......sorry.
I don't see any support until about 4.00, but if good news comes out the rules could change.
hey yo, read the 8-K that QTFV filed today and........
The also filed a post-effective amendment to issue,(I think), 10M shares that were previously registered with a S-8.
As far as this company is concerned, the water is DOA.
The patent, distribution rights, etc are in the hands of a private company.
They must now fall back on the bio-lab,(whatever), work that they were doing before the water came along.
I was betting on them winning the patent rights.
IMO, it was a coin toss, but I've now taken a hit.
I'll wait to see the PPS settle down with the currant company structure before I either add or dump.
gottfried, no, it's win98 SE, but I'm waiting for an XP CD to come in the mail........will switch ASAP
I copied and pasted the link I use in RUN;
rundll32 setupwbv.dll,IE6Maintenance "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\Setup\SETUP.EXE" /g "C:\WINDOWS\IE Uninstall Log.Tx
It's Netscape Communicator 4.79
At .009, ARES is up about 90% in the last two weeks...
Don't know what's going on, but I like it......:)
wantoberich, I've set up a java chart at BigCharts.com to show Bollinger Bands, earning, splits, dividends and all that stuff.
Using the candlesticks is, IMO, invaluable.
At a glance, I can see how the stock is trending without having to go to a bunch of details like trend lines.
At this point, if CHTR is weak or not should become obvious as the day goes on..............FWIW
gottfried, I've been using a IE repair tool for weeks. I think it's the same one...........run it from RUN in my startup menu.
It seemed to help a little, but not enought to make a difference.
I also use EasyCleaner to clean my registry every day, as well as Spybot.
I've also run several tests on PCPitstop, enough to know that the problem isn't my computer.
I had a question about the modem, but no longer.
Version of NN?............got me!....LOL
I just went to the c/net browser downloads and picked one with a good rating.
This one was supposed to be a full download....(all the stuff..:)
wanttoberich, just looked a CHTR chart........
Yesterday, even though it closed up, it did, for a time drop below the upper Bollinger Band.
Nothing to panic over, but if it drops below again and closes below the upper band it could be a sign of a trend reversal.
gottfried, I'm using both browsers. NN to go from one website to another and IE6 for my hotmail account.
I've used RealPlayer in the past and won't again.
It's too intrusive.
For my needs, Media player works just fine......
So far, I'm very satisfied with NN. The displays look better, information they give you while downloading another website is much much better and, as I said, it's about five times faster.
It looks like I have the answers I wanted about the condition of my modem and my ISP..
BTW.......I use access4less.net as my ISP......only 5.95 per month..................GAWD!....I LOVE BEING CHEAP!.....lol
TVM
USXP is gapping up....again...eom
Internet connection problem update.....
Yesterday, I downloaded Netscape to replace IE6 as a browser.
So far, it seems to be working about five times faster with zero problems.
FWIW; Since Microsoft came out with MSN 8, I've noticed that their service was getting less and less dependable.
I don't use their ISP and I don't think they like that.
The only question I have about Netscape is; Does AOL own them?
I don't use AOL and don't want to and find it a bit irretating to have to keep deleting AOL links.....
But, if that's the only problem I have with Netscape, I can live with that......:)
Thanks for all the help.
About QTFV..............
This company was marketing Nicowater and I bought into it because of that.
Friday it was announced that they lost the patent rights to the water and today they came out with a 8-K saying that they will discontinue the sale and distribution of the water.
It was marketed at a smoking alternative to help smokers stop.
Each half-liter bottle had the equivalent of nicotine in about two cigarettes.(I bought some and have it in the frig...:)
With Friday's news the PPS took a major hit, about 80% I think.
Now, the company reverts back to the bio-lab work they were doing before and with a PPS of about .025 it may be underpriced.
IMO, it's worth taking a harder look at....
Thanks gottfried. I've installed Netscape Navigator and am still getting used to it, ie: setting it up, etc.
So far, my screen sure looks different and, in about a half hour, haven't had a problem.
NN doesn't seem too happy about me not wanting anything to do with AOL though......:)
We'll see.
Thanks hey yo, Is it always that way?..I don't think I've ever seen a filing with only the OS. They always have that second number.
TIA
Internet connection problems..........
Over the last few months I've been having more and more problems with my internet connecton, my browser, or something.
Connecting to different websites often doesn't work and while I'm surfing one website it often hangs or just won't connect.
I get a couple of different error messages.
I've ran tests at PCPitstop.com, but they only confirmed what I knew.
What I don't know is......
Is my problem IE 6?
Is it my ISP?(dialup)
Is it my modem?
Or what?
I've run all the checks and I think of and nothing shows as an obvious problem..
TIA
Need some help from someone who can read filings better than I.
Here's an excerpt from the last RBIO 10Q.....
STOCKHOLDERS' EQUITY (DEFICIT)
Common stock, par value $0.001; authorized
120,000,000 shares; 20,564,214 and 114,214
shares issued and outstanding,
Based on a statement in the introduction to the filing, the 20.5 figure is the OS....
These "duel" numbers are very common in 10Qs and 10Ks.
So, what does the 114,214 number represent?......the float?
TIA
dsertrat, just took a quick look at RBIO......
They did a 1:250 RS last July, but I didn't follow it because they had no volume to speak of............oh well.
If this is a post-RS bounce it should be good for another 100%+, but............
This seems to be bouncing early.
My numbers don't show an entry level until it goes sub-penny, but nothing is carved in stone.
This move is obviously news-powered and if it looks like it's turning around it should be in for a significant drop, but...
It appears that the OS is only about 20.5M, so a little interest could make it very volatile.....:)
A bad news day...re NEOM.......
They just filed a SB-2/A, (pre-effective amendment), to dump over 308.6 million shares....
Jeez!
Bad news for QTFV...................
LOS ANGELES, Jan 8, 2004 (BUSINESS WIRE) --
Platinum Products, LLC today announced the issuance of an award in its favor by a three-judge panel of arbitrators, who decided, among other things, that QT 5, Inc.'s (OTCBB: QTFV) rights to United States Patent No. 6,268,386 were properly and completely terminated in June 2003. The arbitrators ordered QT 5 to immediately cease and desist from the sale of nicotine water. The award was issued following a contested arbitration hearing in which evidence was taken on December 18, 19, 22 and 23, 2003, and which concluded with final arguments on January 8, 2004. QT 5 had attempted to claim in the proceeding that its rights to the Patent had not been terminated and that it still had the right to market its flagship product NicoWater.
'Obviously, we're thrilled at the result,'commented Platinum's lead attorney Kevin J. Leichter. 'It's always gratifying to win,'he continued, 'but this was a clean sweep of extraordinary proportions, and it was completely justified by the evidence and the law. The arbitrators ruled unanimously, and their ruling rejected all of QT 5's claims, across the board, including a specific rejection of the testimony of QT 5 principals Tim Owens and Steve Reder as to the central contract interpretation issue in the case. All that's left to decide now is how much to award our side for the attorneys fees and costs we've expended to defeat QT 5's contentions.'In their ruling, the arbitrators set a schedule for submissions as to attorneys fees and costs, and indicated that the panel will decide the fees and costs matter without further hearing. Pending the award of attorneys fees and costs, the decision of the panel today was an interim award in a binding arbitration.
Platinum was represented in the arbitration by Mr. Leichter, a member of Los Angeles law firm Christensen Miller Fink Jacobs Glaser Weil &Shapiro LLP. Inventor Marshall Thompson was represented by Frank Longo, Esq. of Beverly Hills based law firm Longo &Longo, LLP.
Platinum co-founders Robert Moore and Todd Sanders expressed their elation at the ruling. 'This clears the way for Platinum to commence full operations without interference from QT5. We are delighted at the arbitrators'decision and thrilled at the prospect of moving forward to exploit our exclusive Patent rights. We are deeply committed to developing and marketing our product in a safe and responsible manner, and we intend to give our fullest cooperation to all regulatory authorities, including especially the FDA, in order to provide every appropriate assurance that our products will serve the public interests. We deeply believe that we have a great product, with strong market potential and mass appeal, and that its uses are both safe and beneficial. To say that we are excited about our future would be an understatement.'
Platinum Products is a privately held Los Angeles-based limited liability company focused on the development of products based on the nicotine beverage Patent. Platinum Products acquired rights to the Patent from inventor Marshall Thompson in mid-2003, together with Mr. Thompson's rights under his terminated agreement with QT 5.
Christensen Miller Fink Jacobs Glaser Weil &Shapiro LLP is a full service law firm of approximately 125 attorneys based in Century City, Los Angeles. Mr. Leichter's practice is focused on litigation and trial of business disputes, including intellectual property and contract matters such as the QT 5/Platinum dispute.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn., Jan 07, 2004 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via Comtex/ --
Provectus Pharmaceuticals (OTC Bulletin Board: PVCT) announced today that the Company is aggressively working to correct inaccurate reporting of proposed sales of shares by the Company directors.
In October 2003, Dr. Craig Dees and Dr. Tim Scott, two of our directors, each proposed to sell 94,876 shares of the Company's common stock. The Forms 144 which were actually filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (the 'SEC') erroneously indicated that Drs. Dees and Scott proposed to sell significantly more shares. Drs. Dees and Scott instructed their broker to promptly amend the Forms 144 to show the correct amount of shares that were proposed to be sold. Even after these amendments were filed with the SEC, various reporting services have continued to erroneously report that Drs. Dees and Scott have proposed to sell significantly more shares. Since the original Forms 144 were filed, neither Dr. Dees nor Dr. Scott have sold any shares.
'It appears Form 144 reports have been filed which incorrectly lists numbers of Directors shares as free trading,'said Provectus CEO Dr. Craig Dees. 'We are continuing to work directly with the brokers and reporting services to correct the mistakes.'

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J., Dec 30, 2003 (BUSINESS WIRE) --
Xechem International, Inc. (OTCBB: XKEM) today announced that it has completed the acquisition of Ceptor Inc., a privately held bio-technology company, significantly increasing Xechem's drug pipeline. Xechem will issue $6,000,000 of Convertible Preferred Stock to Ceptor's shareholders, and assume approximately $300,000 of debt. Under the terms of the agreement, no shares will be converted until at least 12 months. 'Ceptor provides Xechem a neuromuscular platform technology that will produce both orphan drug products for the Company to develop under its business model as well as large-market products appropriate for partnering with major companies. This proprietary technology includes the carrier molecules carnitine and taurine to target any passenger molecules to skeletal muscle cells and nerve cells, respectively. This will provide potential products for muscular dystrophy, multiple sclerosis, ALS, epilepsy, ototoxicity, nerve damage, and muscle wasting,'said William Pursley, Vice-Chairman and President of Xechem International.
Ceptor, is led by Dr. Alfred Stracher, Distinguished Professor and Chairman of Biochemistry at Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Stracher commented, 'We are excited about the merger and are looking forward to a higher profile for the Ceptor technology.'Ceptor will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Xechem.
Ceptor's lead product, MYODUR, includes the carnitine carrier and the peptide, leupeptin, a known calpain inhibitor. Calpain is the primary protease that degrades skeletal muscle. Because calpain is up regulated in muscular dystrophy, the Company believes the inhibiting effect of leupeptin along with the targeting effect of carnitine makes MYODUR an ideal candidate for this orphan disease. Xechem plans to file an IND for MYODUR to initiate a phase Ib clinical trial in muscular dystrophy in 2004. The Company estimates that muscular dystrophy represents a $1B+ market opportunity.
For a larger indication such as epilepsy, NEURODUR, another product candidate, has also been shown effective in animal models. NEURODUR combines the nerve cell targeting molecule, taurine, with valproic acid. Valproic acid, alone, represents the primary therapy for epilepsy today but has proven to be very difficult to regulate as a therapeutic. Too little provides no benefit and too much can cause serious adverse effects. The Company believes NEURODUR will offer a strong advantage because of the preciseness and efficiency of its nerve cell targeting. Epilepsy is a multibillion dollar market opportunity and represents an excellent out-licensing candidate.
Finally, because carnitine, leupeptin, taurine and valproic acid, individually, are all well known, safe and established molecules to the FDA, the Company believes they represent a low-risk development pathway as their combinations have shown no denaturing of the individual components.
Dr. Ramesh Pandey, Chairman &CEO of Xechem International stated, 'The Ceptor technology is unique and will provide a platform for treating many different diseases. We are gratified that the merger has been completed.'
Xechem International, Inc. is a fully integrated biopharmaceutical company focusing on proprietary technologies for orphan diseases. Its mission is to increase the quality and quantity of life of the people who suffer from these diseases.
At .067 USXP is showing a little strength on the news.
It may have bottomed at .061, but needs to be watched.
