Problem is, we have NO idea what the current parking fine collection environment is like in Puerto Rico. Maybe they don't even bother collecting fines. In that case, no one would bother to pay. Unless there is an arrest warrant on someone, they may just over look them. Do you have other information?
James....I hope you're a young person. I have a feeling we are all going to be a lot older before this moves up to any degree that will make us all happy.
If you want to read some fascinating books, try Incidents of Travel in Central America, Chiapas, and Yucatan by John L. Stephens. I guarantee you'll love these two volumes. This guy travels in these areas in the 1830's and 1840's documenting the ruins of previous civilizations. Terrific reading. Unbelievable how he and others with him actually accomplished the feat considering the natural barriers, available gear, and political disruptions in the area. You'll gain a lot of respect for this guy. A+++++++++
Thanks To All for the suggestions about French Onion Soup. Happy Thanksgiving to all!!
Can someone post a good recipe for French Onion Soup. Whenever I make it, it seems to lack the zing of good restaurant soup. tia

Derf...just got back from about 2 1/2 weeks in Wisconsin with family. Took a quick look at the address and I can tell you it appears to be in a new housing subdivision (Wildfire at Desert Ridge) at the edge of the northern city limits. I can check it out some time this week but I'm pretty sure all I'm going to see is a big new house.
water...I agree and I'm not exactly a fan of hers. I find her detestable.
Maybe she just found her commercial niche. ???
fung...take another look at SunOpta (STKL) and tell me what you think. I got in around $6. I really like the stock's future. Thanks Oh, remember when I was blasting AMEP and you said it looked somewhat OK when you looked at it? I still think it's a stinker of a stock and there might be some hanky panky there. Take another look and let me know what you think. Thanks
Susie...actually, they should hire Paulie and channel his talents.
Ronnie...the facts are, any game that you play against the house, the house has the advantage. And, any system that would beat the house would become known within days. The house would then shut the game down or change it. You are either not telling the whole truth or you have been incredibly lucky. If you had an infallible system you would be living a life like Bill Gates, but more likely you would be banned from all casinos.
If it worked so well there would be no Roulette in any casino.
Susie,
I've not really been gone. I just have not been posting much on the boards I once posted on.
I'm doing OK. Things are good here in the Phoenix area. Hope all is well with you, too.
Derf..glad to see that you're OK. Take care.
Susie...maybe so, but, beware the stats on there are not always accurate. My house is listed as having four bathrooms when it has three. I think the site is helpful but not totally accurate.
I liked the movie, too. But, then I like history. I remember Morrow from seeing him on TV as a kid. I especially remembered all the smoking that they did in those days. Seemed like EVERYONE chain smoked.
cintrix...actually, Neil explains in the Nashville piece that the song "Old Man" was written for the caretaker of the property/ranch he purchased when he says he first became a rich hippie.
cintrix...it's a tape of his concert in 2005 in Nashville. All music, all great. I recommend it to any Neil Young music lover.
Saw Neil Young Heart of Gold today. 3.5 Love his music. He really has matured. Very introspective.
Quaid sues over payment for role in Brokeback Mountain.

It appears we agree on the movie and the student. LOL
Crash was a great movie, too. Yes, it was about racism. But, it was also a great movie in showing the CRACKS in racism where one's humanity rose up and overcame it.
That Liberal Arts student needs to get an education about life before analyzing movies. Brokeback Mountain was obviously about the frustrations of expressing love when you do it in a manner that society frowns upon. Sure, it included adultery but that sure was not the focus of the movie. The focus was the destructiveness forced upon two people who were in love but were not able to overcome societal pressures. It was a tragedy for all involved (men and women) who had to live a lie.
If you got it from the company via a telephone conversation, it was probably not all that important. If it was something of importance they would not be allowed to release it in that manner. Some of you are terribly naive.
Reverse split on a penny stock is instant death. Take that to the bank.
Well, contractor, there's another to add to my list. If you have critical information not available to other shareholders and it's about to affect the share price, someone broke the law. Does this information come from the company? You better answer, NO, even if it did. Because you could go to jail for having inside information and using it to your benefit before it's released to the general public. More likely, someone is using you as a patsy to put false hope out there. Oh, I'm not really sure what Arizona's climate has to do with AMEP's performance. Any reason why you mentioned our climate? I think everyone knows Arizona is hot in the summer.
No, joe, it was a stupid question. No one knows what's going to happen. There are clues, however. Keep these things in mind: organized as a BDC (not good for shareholders of a penny stock, in my opinion), PRs with things that never seem to materialize, money owed to the IRS (never heard otherwise about the money being paid, have you?), defaulted on all or most of loans taken out over the years, brother is a convertible debenture holder (one among several issued over the years, I believe), O/S expanding at the same rate of the universe, drilling going on now for months with no real results being made public. I could go on but what's the point. Let's wait for the end game.
It's drizzling in Phoenix again today. Only second rain in over 4 months.
Maybe they'll be addressed but I bet they either will not be addressed enough to satisfy an intelligent person or they may be ignored all together. Fact is, they should have given shareholders an update on the drilling a long time ago. They could have drilled all the way through the Earth by this time with no word on anything significant. Not a good sign.
Vexari...Yes, I agree, TV is one of the two, religion being the other, opiates of the masses. One can barely find a program worth watching on television. Thank goodness I have cable and can squeeze a few good programs out of the trash. I particularly like the Discover HD channel. Public Television often has good programming, too, along with the Science Channel. And, a few others.
Janice...yup, he will be right up there with Saints LoCastro, Turino and Hall of PCBM fame.
Rasica...you are so far gone with total indoctrination there is no way to try and reason with you. If you think any religious sect/cult in America is more persecuted than gays, you are totally unrealistic.
The act of sodomy is committed by almost ALL straights that I know. Sodomy includes oral as well as anal sex. Care to ask your straight friends how often they engage in oral sex? I suppose you consider those crimes against nature, too. LOL Is thumb sucking a crime, too? Or, is it only a crime when certain parts of the body get sucked or penetrated? LOL How totally ridiculous. I am so glad I shed all religious brainwashing at an early age.
Anything that occurs within the universe is within nature. It's just not your cup of tea. The religious always try to think of themselves as the holders of truth. It ain't so. Turning wine into blood and a yeast host into a body is AGAINST nature, however. It's delirium.
Give me a break...Catholic bashing???? LOL I was a Catholic before my brain unfroze and I never ever witnessed any Catholic bashing. I think the gays of this country would have a much better claim to being subject to idiotic prejudice than ANY religious group. I don't recall anyone being murdered because they were Catholic in America. Nor do I recall them losing their job or children because of it. You need a dose of reality.
Pound...LOL...It may be no joke.
Ah, excepting AMEP...LOL
Did you spend your entire life researching those statistics? Obviously, they're meaningless. I think a lot of people on this board would like to know who you REALLY are and why you all of a sudden showed up here a few months ago claiming to be a god. Strange.
Barneey...your ego is as big as the State of Texas, if not bigger.
