Laser and I were out by the park, lake and dogpark for a couple of hours. Laser even got to Chase Birds! Birds bigger than him!
He just loves that.

I had to go to urgent care unit (not ER) and was able to at least get the one critical prescription. The UC doc was able to arrange another appointment (so's I get to co-pay twice!)..with a doctor whom was not my first choice. That appointment is next week.
At least the wheels may be in motion. On the UPside, I slept soundly for the first time in a month. Woo-hoo!

Sorry I wasn't able to reply sooner. Been having the pain problem at night, sometimes if I do sleep, I miss almost the whole morning.

As the stormwall approached you could see the pressure dropping in realtime, rain amounts and wind speed/direction changing second-to-second. At one point the wind hit 167mph gust, but when the eye centered wind dropped to 7 mph and the cam was mometarily clear (ish).
Then it started again with the trailing stormwall.
My brother has had homes in Tampa, Ft. Meyers, Northport Richey and cape coral.Every freakin hurricane seemed to head for him, glad he moved. He now lives in Alabama. They seem to get less storms than Florida or Texas.

It was frozen, very clean fillets. Got it at Aldi's, 12oz for under 5 bucks. They have fresh tuna and salmon at Walmart often, but pricyer.

I made tuna steaks on the grill abit over a week ago, first we had ever tried it. I used a lemon/canola oil/sesame-seed(crushed) salt/onion marinade. We were both surprised that it didn't taste like fish at all. Tasted like the tenderest part of a porterhouse beefsteak! Tuna was 3/4" thick, done medium-rare, with a 1/4" line of pink thru the center. Next time the marinade will be Worcestershire sauce based, to enhance the beef-like flavor.

In Europe they raise fish in ponds (mostly carp) and the feed and the water quality such that the fish would taste nasty. What makes the fish "saleable" is the conditioning of the fish after they are netted from the pond and transferred to vats of fresh, cold water and held there for 2 weeks. (Without feeding)
The nasty flavor of the mucky feed and water has time to be eliminated from the fish.
I don't think the farmed catfish I've tried do that, they always tasted yucky. (And farmed trout I've tried too)

Catfish locally here, not very good. I prefer the channel-cat from the Ohio river!(Caught near Shawnee town, IL.)
I used to bring multiple coolers of frozen fish from there.

Egg sac's are used as bait (brined) for panfish in winter ice fishing. Otherwise ppl use a sack of 10-15 eggs in a tiny ball (pantyhose material) for big pike or muskies. Catfish will hit 'em too.

Decent, like 9-10" or really decent 13" and up? Last year a couple caught in a tiny, but deep lake were 13" and above.
Many lakes here have puny perch. Dunno if its due to over fishing, or the removal of the pike.

I used to panfish on a regular basis,2-3 times a week when I could. Preferred ultralight rod/reel combo with 1/16th Oz lead head jig and about an inch of nightcrawler. Drift or troll past trees that overhang the water, casting into the shadow.

Yep, many things when micro'ed just don't end well...like don' reheat boiled eggs, either! I haven't been fishing at all this year. My Bro had me at his place (Coastal Alabama) and I caught a bull redfish (42") and a small blacktop shark while wading/surfcasting. It was a hoot when the fish got on, but fishn was slow. Only 4 good size fish, the rest LITERALLY were bait!

Yep. It's about the time you relax, the brownstuff hits the fan. I was in 'Bama by my brother's place across the bay from Mobile in February.
Caught a really nice bull redfish (42"!) and a small blacktip shark, just shorefishing/surfcasting. Used shrimp and sandfleas to catch baitfish, then cast those out and wait. (Prior to that, only fished saltwater from a boat.)

After I got back (couple weeks later..) my brother went to have a sore throat looked at, found cancer. Yikes! He went thru chemo and Radiation and has since been declared cancer free...but he had a large amount of wt-loss and sores/burns from the radiation. Been a tough road back for him.
...I don't even want to think of losing him...I'd have no one to pick on.

Hey there Larry, longtime no...nothing, and it was MY fault, yep. Kinda just been existing. Takes quite a while to get moving again.

Haven't that interested in getting out and about for pix. My Doc had some health issues himself, and no longer is practicing...his replacement is reluctant to allow the meds I had been getting. I don't get around much or well. (Seriously, NO fishing at ALL!...Don't know for sure I could trailer the boat if something went awry.) But I'll just plug along, best I can.
I don't know how it is in your area...darn hard to find a doctor here, a good one even harder.

I do have a kindle now. It's great for checking weather, news and searches. I even use it for netflix. Drawback is...unless you buying amazon-sponsored reading/Ebooks, material from project Gutenberg will 'disappear' and must be reloaded if another app is used. When it's 'reloaded', it's no longer at the page you were reading. My work-around is to open 'calculator', enter the page number and blank the display(like sleep). to resume I get page-number from calc, the open silk-browser and reload the gutenberg file. sideswipe left edge of the kindle opens GO TO/chapter/illustrations and you select go-to and enter page/place #.
Screw amazon for being so petty!..LOL! I shop Amazon lots, good safe venue..lots of good deals too.

So far, it's exactly like win 7. I've retained the same start-screen and toolbar, and refused the apps. I declined 'Cortana'...but danged if it didn't show up anywho. I deleted it manually.
Eventually, every one will have 10 or it's latest incarnation as 7 and 8 become 'unsupported' as did win XP PRO (The finest, most stable OS Microcrap ever produced.)
Soon you'll only have apps and the OS will be cloud-based...unless PPL switch to apple or LINUX . (I admit, I've considered it.)

I always clear tempfiles (and cookies) daily, did full scan (Malwarebytes) yesterday. I recently changed OS from win 7-Pro to win-10. I prohibited most of the sharing/new features/Cortana-personal-assistant to make it more secure and faster.
I don't know what more I could do.

I've had unusually good luck posting today. That must mean things are due to go awry, lol.

I do something every day, several days a week, even tho' I may not feel like doing much...I press-on and do something extra. (There is always something to fix/toss/adjust...or create something new.)
Laser is good company, trips to the dogpark are fun. Most of the PPL know me, but EVERYONE knows Laser!
Laser is 'pretty-good' on recall (That he comes back, or comes when called)..but not perfect. If he was better, he could go fishing with me. (And other places) While I have had pups that were predicable in every situation, Laser is not one of those dogs.
I'll try to get back here more often, hope to have some pix.

I make myself go out every day and walk. I don't risk taking the camera often, I might get distracted and I wouldn't want harm to come to Laser.
No smoking for quite some time, couple years or close-to.
I plan on trips into the woods in the fall, to catch the colors, and wildlife seems easier to approach then.
Still haven't been out in the boat. I bought a fishing permit, fueled the boat and replaced one of the deepcycle batteries...but the kids haven't expressed a desire to go fishing.

Did the dogpark with Laser, then the beach. Laser doesn't try to swim, but loves to wade and harass the geese.
