Well just earlier I was chatting with Mike Heatwole on FB messenger. They are waiting on the Federal permitting and need a new partner for added resources. I first met him while working as an ad salesman at the Anchorage Press a few years back. Matt Hickman the Senior editor was with me. He told Mike they had a hit piece coming out against Pebble the very next day. I was telling Mike they need to fight the environmentalists' narrative. It floored me, this newspaper loses $60k per month. But I digress. Alaska's politics is decided between Anchorage, Fairbanks, & Juneau as far as voting goes. The State is going broke and without a healthy mining industry we will continue to go that way. Alaska is these days, a service economy. Pebble opponents want Alaska to be a giant National Park! I don't know how the current mind set can be corrected, we're trying though. Another issue feeding this, is all the Californians coming up. Alaskans are lazy when it comes to being informed.
I live near Anchorage, and 100% supporter of the Pebble Project. I attended the EIS event last spring and everyone against it weren't from Illiamna and had never been, nor ever will visit there. The natives there are by and large for the development as well. It's their ancestral land after all! Real Alaskans want development of mines. No matter the project, the environmentalists will oppose it. I have met Mike Heatwole and he's awesome btw!
Maybe we'll get a black Friday pr...
We're just waiting on news that they're getting new contracts and machines installed. Go kosk!
We Just Had A Big Drop In This One. On Little Volume Too! I Can't Wait 'Til Serious News Hits.
The Start Of A New Week!
Not A Bad Jump Today!!!
Today's News Is Certainly Exciting!
Much More So Than Bernanke And Pals!
Well We Know The Price Action Is Predictable. Though It Isn't Hard To See That If They Find The Lode, That This Thing Will Go Nuts!
Sounds Better All The Time!!!
This Thing Surely Does Move On Low Trading Volume. We Need A Million + Day!!!
It's Still A Heck Of A Good Price Where It Is Now.
I have no idea, it's a Canadian stock, they seem to behave oddly that way at times.
I Picked Up My Starter On Friday, At That Time It Was A Slow Day. Lucky For Me, I See Today Is Getting Interesting.
This One Is So Under The Radar, That Even The Board Seems Half Dead! However I'd Surmise This One Is Less Likely To Dilute, Given Their Current Progress.
I Hear You. I'm Only Worried Because Last Year On Another PK Stock, They Led Us On For Eons, Finally Uplisted. Then OS/AS Ended Up In The Multiple Billions, From A Half Billion. Anyway, It's All A Gamble.
I'm All For The Success Of NBRI. Unfortunately, It Seems That A Bit Of Dilution Is Going On. With All That's Going On In The Commodities, There's No Rhyme Or Reason. The CEO If He Was Really For The Shareholders Wouldn't Dilute. By Keeping a Low OS/Float, Why Couldn't He Just Sell Shares When The PPS Goes Up? I'm By No Means Bashing. These Days I Am Extremely Wary Of Diluting CEOs. It's Like Losing The Race Before We Even Leave The Gate!!!
I Feel That Way Because As Gold And Silver Goes Higher, The Large Companies Will Be Pressured To Expand. They Will Begin Looking For Nice Areas To Then Work. Now, I Myself Don't Care What Happens Either Way. Whether They Get Bought, Or Nought. I'm A Shareholder Of NBRI. I Think It's A Good Company. Just My Own Speculation.
I'll Wager That NBRI Gets Bought Out By One Of The Big Majors Like Newmont, Barrick, Etc. That Is Another Good Reason For PPS To Rise. With Gold Over $1,000 Now (Again), Precious Metals Will Gain More Popularity, More Exposure To The Masses. And Thus, To Gold Stocks.
Damn, the thing dropped like a terd in a toilet bowl!!!
Buy puts? So July is the worst trading month of the year if I recall, is that right? Woo-hoo!!!
SAH puts look promising
what are you playing today jimmybob?
Good luck to us all during this first week of summer!
Hey we'll make you a prude, it's never too late.
I love Jon Stewart. Fake news maybe, but he does make good points in his broadcasts. That is a very good post Syndicate. Jim Cramer is a douche. Having your experience to trade on I appreciate immensely. And will suggest that one of these days you visit my finca in Argentina. I'm in Michigan now, but you seem quite a cool guy. If you don't drink alcohol, no problema, there is orange juice, LOL.
I'm still relatively new to trading, having done so since only 2006. But I quickly learned not to put any faith into those analysts recommendations. I also read somewhere that they are often paid by the companies for the upgrades.
ATHR hasn't done much today, it went up a little ways and his been hanging in the $0.20's. This despite analyst upgrades, of which I'll mention I've never paid much attention to.
maybe Monday will be the day for ATHR to continue it's decline. Seems as though investors get awfully depressed over the weekends, LOL.
Cool, that'll be an easy double. And let me hop on today's trade alert if it goes there in time.
Copy that! I just sold a stock that has been flat for awhile and picked up 6 $9.00 AUY calls for $0.70
Yeah no lie GENZ is up over $2.00, I wish I had more to bet now, oh well. Those July ATHR puts aren't doing to shabby either. Syndicate you kick ass!
$12k in a week would be a respectable total for such a short period. Heck, more than respectable. If this were an IRA, it'd be high on drugs! LOL.
My account is up about $80, not bad either on $1000 nearly 10% in even less time.
I learned that lesson with SIVC they had a low authorized share structure of about a half billion, then when they finally started reporting again, it went to about nine billion. You are right, a good trade on the big boards are the better bet.
Biotechs are the most difficult to understand for me. Though I can see what you are saying. Nervous investors mean $$$$ for us if we choose correctly. Which is why we have you SyndicateTwo, LOL. While I am waiting for my first post-Iraq job, this gives me something to do. Previously I invested in some small & micro cap stocks, I did forex for a little while, and even played with options. While there, options were dangerous for me. As often I'd be away from any computer for quite awhile. Now I finally have the chance to enjoy this hobby. That said, you are making it easier for me. And I thank you immensely.
down 5.56%, nice score there SyndicateTwo!
It's ok, you may down a few bucks on AMED, but you're doing well in diversifying by getting a bit of each. I haven't the cash at the moment for all. A bit of a gamble, but what the hell, life is a gamble isn't it?
GLTA
I suppose that was luck on my part.
I put a limit order in for 9 ATHR July puts at $0.60 and was filled right at market open.
