DRRX Moved my buy order up to .70 around 3 PM, doubled my position, now a healthy chunk at .71 average.
Taking a chance on DRRX @.72, think it'll come back some tomorrow.
Have a .69 average-down order just in case.
Out 10K shares with a tiny gain this morning and glad of it.
Not sure anymore where the bottom is on this, best of luck to all longs.
AMRN I'm out with a tiny gain, just too uncertain.
Companies like TKMR & NLNK have legitimate vaccines; LAKE & APT, though the prices are incredibly inflated, at least make real products.
Companies like PPHM are merely part of the Ebola Hype Bandwagon, a wagon that will soon crash.
I genuinely enjoy reading their board because they’re an endless source of self-righteous us-against-them paranoia and self-referential claptrap posing as wisdom. Much of it is truly LOL stuff.
I thought that perhaps they had this market cornered, but now I realize the AMRN board has been coming on strong around the far turn and they’re neck and neck down the stretch.
It's a tongue-in-cheek thing that Bloomberg does each week. Considering the Ebola problem, it seems particularly apt.
Bought 10K of AMRN @.94 the last minute of the day. Just looking for a quick bounce on Monday.
Have a good weekend all.
In 10K shares @.94, the last minute of the day.
Got to be worth more than this!
OK, will do and let you know. Thanks!
My wireless mouse (Microsoft 4000) is not communicating promptly with my Dell PC monitor. Seems to be a very long delay (have to keep clicking repeatedly.)
Changed the battery, no help. It's worked fine for years.
TIA
You publicly posted your buy, date and price, and publicly posted your sell, date and price. Good for you.
You lost on this one: anyone who says that they bat .1000 is lying.
I'm just disgusted with all the iHubbers (some of them mods of their own boards) who post and post about buying, and when the stock crashes suddenly say they got out even. Impossible.
Before being allowed on Ellis Island for processing, immigrants suspected of having a contagious disease were quarantined on Swinburne or Hoffman Island.
In light of the latest Ebola case—a doctor returning to NYC from Guinea—why not something similar for 21 days?
I hope and expect that a mod will delete a garbage post like yours.
Had a CPA friend tell me recently that he has a fair number of older clients who are still on the sideline after pulling out of the market during the recession. Their opportunity cost is staggering.
Many years ago, someone who knew that I traded stocks told me he wanted to start investing but was looking around for something with no risk. Seriously. This was an adult.
It's gambling. If a person doesn't like that, then stay out of the casino.
On a lighter note: #msg-107373407
I think the market is saying that we've reached Immediate Ebola Bounce saturation.
Re Ebola, from the PPHM message board:
I know, just kidding, not you, it's just about every single company of every single product in the world.
Why doesn't Ford jump on board, "It'll drive you away from Ebola"; or Nike, "Run from Ebola".
Wouldn't it be refreshing to see a small biotech put out this PR:
"Company Announces It Has Absolutely Nothing To Do With Ebola"
Just in case, info on market-wide circuit breaker:

There is such a thing as a market-wide circuit breaker:

As I posted the other day: #msg-107158203
It's a fear-driven market: illogical, irrational, panicky.
I hear you about the sector, but for me it's as much a micro, company-based buy as it is a sector buy. This is a quality company at a fire sale price.
Just decided to go in a totally different direction. Bought a chunk of EXXI, an oil and natural gas energy company, at an insanely low valuation these days. Longer-term hold, looking for a double this winter.
Best of luck!
J.- Posting to you here because I gave up my premium membership and I don't want to clutter the BV board.
Been watching EXXI for quite a while, just bought in at $6.40 (damn, down already!)
Hope things are going well for you and yours. -G.
I sold some stuff yesterday and have about $25K to shop with today.
I agree with you, it's going to be ugly today.
I've basically just cleared my schedule, going to spend all day researching. I probably won't buy until the last 10 minutes because lately when I buy something in the morning that looks low, it closes even lower!
(PS: Will look at POZN more closely.)
Just teasing. You are 100% correct.
You have to endlessly research, understand trading mechanics, spend hours in front of the monitor, and...
be lucky as hell!
