BGFV--Reestablished position at 11.47.
POLA another going crazy and they haven't issued a PR since July when they did a dilutive secondary to stay afloat.
GORO trading below $3. Bobwins or anyone, maybe a good entry point (or in my case to average down)?
Snfca--I own it but don't understand why yesterday's PR re new leases on their office campus matters and is apparently boosting their share price today.
BGFV I'm bummed I sold yesterday but hard to anticipate industry merger announcements.
Now we know why BGFV was up. PE firm buying SPWH probably looking to roll up competition so becomes potential buyer.
Bgfv-Out at 9.89. Seemed frothy on a down market day.
Wish I owned GLSI
LMB Any opinions about fair value selling price?
SNFCA--Surging today. On the buyback news? Something else I missed?
BGFV I think the new short count will be out after market close on Friday. Will be interesting to see if it has fallen significantly.
BGFV It's the company that reaches out to the TV station to get featured on that regular hiring segment they run.
BGFV I'm long with a $6.50 cost basis so happy to see any good news, but I'm guessing that hiring video was more about fending off shorting than an unrelated strategy for sourcing new employees. Just sayin.
TSLA Now all my friends who have been bragging about owning it will brag they sold it last week at the high.
BGFV--While seems like this Board sees a value play, it may have been a COVID play for other investors and COVID plays have been selling down recently. Hope the recent churning is consolidation and not breakdown.
BGFV--I keep averaging down but won't get my average cost down to $6 unless I sell my house ??
CCEL--It's good to see the Duke PR and the market's reaction even though the deal hasn't closed yet. Unless the CEOs are excited about something else, their recent buys indicate they think it will close. CCEL already a more substantive company than most OTC listed companies and licensing Duke's umbilical stem cell IP would provide huge upside potential. Hard to say if the stock would jump more if/when a closing is announced or if buyers would wait for more tangible progress developing and monetizing the IP.
CCEL--Hweb I have been following this one for years. How did it get on your radar screen today? Was there news I missed?
TNX--10% move today for no reason I could see. Can anyone explain?
BGFV--The trading action feels like half the shorts covered to help drive it into the 8s and the other half doubled down when it got there.
Weird that 10 year Treasury is spiking with market slightly up.
Or just being swept up with all the battery/alternative power
plays?
Maybe a pump someplace?
Daily Covid deaths have declined significantly recently. Some of it may be due to changes in cause of death reporting, but I think most of it is because they're treating the seriously ill more effectively despite no miracle drug treatment yet. No knock on medical providers but at the beginning I think they didn't know how to treat people and treatment was particularly ineffective. Also, I think older people are being more careful and are being better protected in nursing homes so their deaths aren't fueling the totals like they were. Of course, if new cases spike daily deaths could rise again, but I think the death rate will stay much lower than it was at the beginning.
Mermelstein made a gutsy call after the pullback that the Fed would drive markets to new highs this year. I didn't think the Fed had that much power. Although not at all obvious when predicted, looks like a great call now.
Does ccel qualify?
What's disappointing in the filing is the four year liquidation period required by Florida law. Shareholders won't get that $2.2 million for four years which is a bummer. I sold 60% of my position at .0085 and would sell the rest now at .008 if I could. I won't sell at .0075 though as I think I'll do better taking the .0048 distribution and selling for more than .0027 after. We'll see.
What do you mean Myth?
Skillz--I don't have the cash, expertise or appetite for risk to make macro bets in my real portfolio. Even though I crashed and burned this week, it's been a lot of fun in PSL "trading" this volatile market. Thanks for providing the opportunity.
I'm expecting: " We were on the verge of hitting it out of the park but were stalled by the CV"
The S&P rallied for its biggest gain since October 2008. Not too comforting since we know how that story ended.
Thanks R59. Very helpful although my plans to quit my job and launch a macro hedge fund may be delayed...
Thanks R59. Is there a symbol that reflects unleveraged VIX futures trading?
VIX is up yet UVXY is down. Anybody understand why?
Oil way down but energy company stocks way up. Weird market.
Sorry, posted on the wrong board.
CBAI has an estimated .0105 per share in cash after selling all assets and recently announcing it will have SHs vote in Q2 to liquidate. Closed today at .0076 so a great arbitrage opportunity which should provide downside protection in this free fall market. Company controlled by Red Oak, a reputable hedge fund which came in as White Knight to rebuff low ball takeover and then sold all assets at much higher price. I'm long as it seems a sensible play in this market.

Wouldn't be surprised if there started to be going concern language come into their next filing. Never seen so much apparent promise result in so much futility.
Anybody's guess, but with so little visibility on how long the CV will shut down global economy it's hard to believe stocks will bounce today. Any strength will be met with more selling. We'll see.
