Jim Nabors is an interesting one. Born in a small town, in Alabama, in 1930 Got interested in singing and acting while at the U of Alabama Got his first break with a job at a radio station in Chattanooga.

His signature was playing Gomer Pyle, on the Andy Griffin show. He got his own show, on TV.. Gomer Pyle, USMC.

Nabors was openly gay. He and his husband retired to Honolulu, where he died at the age of 89. He died when his system collapsed, following a kidney transplant, several years earlier.

Ken Curtis had quite a career. He sang with Tommy Dorsey's band. Was a back up for Frank Sinatra. Was lead singer for The Sons Of The Pioneers.

He died , in his sleep, in 1991 of a heart attack. He was in his early 70s.

I was born again, musically, in 1970. I was on a job, in Billings, MT. I was batching. One morning, I was listening to the radio and heard Kenny Rogers and the First Edition, doing "Somethings Burn'n"

I kept the radio, on that station and opened up my head to "The Youth Generation " music.

Lake Charles was a great venue. Very small auditorium. Saw Kenny Rogers, The Band, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and Crem.

Some perspective on the wind turbine story.

I have a house on a lake, in Grady County,, in SW Oklahoma. 6 years ago a 300 turbine wind farm was installed, all around me. Each turbine requires 40 acres of land. 12.000 acres.

No farming allowed because of the hazard of broken wind turbine blades catapulting across the country side. A 150' to 180' blade can cause a lot of damage.

Not a bad deal for the former farmers. Word is they get $3200 per turbine

12,000 acres of once productive farm land, now laying fallow. That wind farm is one of three, in Grady County.. That's 36, 000 acres in one County.

My house is a mile and a half, off the highway. There are 4 producing oil wells., along that county road. Each well location occupies about 2 acres. they take up 8 acres of farmland.

It would be interesting to know how much energy is produced from those 8 acres vs the energy produced from the 12,000 acres of wind turbines.

I'm for Trump because of his policies and I think he has the best chance of draining the DC Cesspool. IMO, Di Santis is easily the next best.

And I think it's important that Di Santis remains strong. The Dims could be successful in keeping Trump off the ballot.
