That put me back in the green. Hope it stays up now.
The TAX season is upon us.
I suspect that you will see a lot of selloff in the next couple of weeks before years end. SLTD, unfortunately, is in negative land for a lot of investors. Since you can claim up to $1500 in investment losses on your tax return this year, I think we will see a number of people take advantage of that and selling a portion of their stock in order to reduce their tax position. Myself included. (Anyone thinking of doing this is reminded that the IRS will disallow your loss if you buy back in prior to 31 days after taking your loss.) personally I see minimum risk in doing this as I don't expect the PPS to change much until end od March 2016.
An added advantage is that in all likelihood you will end up reducing your average PPS. (BTW, this doesn't work in IRA accounts, at least to my understanding.)
So,since we are all gamblers to begin with, I think this might be worth everyones attention. This doesn't in anyway mean that I have lost the faith. It just a business decision that can offset other obligations. In my case I can buy back in mid January. Long before, I believe, any action will be taken that would substantially improve the PPS.
There you have it. My ONE POST OF THE DAY! Have fun whoever you are. See you tomorrow.
Oh just wonderfull. Such complete ignorance ( being nice) on display. One woman worries that the solar panels are killing plants around them. WHAT? The panels are black holes that suck all sunlight into their insidious grasp, killing all living things.
Another worries that no one can tell her that the panels are not going to cause cancer. Reminds me of the early days of TV. Ya know tv's were causing cancer. Truth was, and still is, that if you spent twenty hours a day for 50 years lying directly beneath the TV chassis YOU MIGHT DEVELOP A TUMER SOMEWHERE!
Probably in your predisposed brain!
Since we already know that UV A , B RAYS can cause skin cancer, I suppose that if one decided to take up residence on top of a solar farm one might expect a higher than normal probability of skin cancer.
My suggestions to these people? Stop speculating, start studying, educate yourself as what reallity here is!
Ignorance only one step away from stupidity. How you get to one to the other is up to you. Ignorance can be cured through learning. Stupidity is one of two things. Choice or genetics.
Read up on El Nino. This has nothing to do with global warming. The same thing happenned in the 1890's.
The northern jet stream has not dropped south as it does in La Nino years. Read.

JJ maybe you need to design such an award winning web site design that the whole world would have to take notice and start buying us as fast as they can go. How about that as a contribution to the cause?
I would much prefer to see the market get some intellegence and realize that oil and solar have no relationship to each other. Why it is that investors continue to equate oil with elecricity just baffles me? Less than 5% of the electricity is produced by oil. The next big producer is coal and the next is nuclear. The vast majority of electricity is produced by natural gas, and that one is growing daily.
Although a large percentage of oil goes to produce fuels, an even larger percentage goes to producing many many consumer products. Oil is not going away it is just going to have less and less impact on enviormental issues, however it still has very little to do with the production of electricity!
Well now we have three differant buy in prices. Actually you forgot tye ones at around $2.00 or so.
Fight, no but I do like try and keep the facts straight. Bored no, happily retired.

Drugmanrx, I love you man but I have to say I'm selling Monday, 2500 shares at 3.65 or so and I'm holding to better my position in this stock, I'm betting it will go down to high 2's and then I will buy back and have 3000 plus shares and be in at a better position for many reasons. If main market crashes or what ever.

It worked like a champ, I sold and bought back in at 3.40, I was tired of being in this with an ordinal cost of $5.05, I'm not a regular flipper just an original long. With no more money this helped me get a lot more shares and a new floor cost of $3.40. Cant wait for $5.00 range now.
Guess who posted this.
See problem is you complain but forget to include facts like you sold 2500 shares for around 3.65 back in August. So you held back 500 shares at whatever price you bought them at and planded on adding back tye 2500 when the PPS DROP BACK TO 2.00.
Don't think I will ever buy a Toyota.
Just for the record you would not have been able to buy sltd prior to 2012. If you bought right at the beginning then you would be worse off than ten cents. If you waited awhile you might have bought in around .02 cents, but that doesn't sould like you did that either. I did (.02) as did a number of the real old timers here. Say hi boys and girls.
Therefore, not withstanding the advances since 2014 to today, I would say from my point of view we have done quite well on the PPS. We are a long ways from .02 today.
You previously posted that you bought in years ago at 10 cents, now you say you and friends bought in two years ago at 18 cents.
Which is correct. Just for the record.
Isn't it nice to see newcomers (yes at .10 you are a newcomer) posting totally unverifiable opinions. Yes the PPS is still the same, however that is only a result of market/investor stupidity or lack of knowledge. Oh yes! Anyone who can not see the REAL GROWTH of SLTD probably should divest themselves of it and move on to greener chit.
And so the glut will continue and grow, and gas prices will go down. Unfortunately until the solar industry can convince the idiot investors that oil and solar have no relationship to each other, energy wise to or with each other in any form, solar will continue to be held down on price. And unfortunately there are those who invest in solar that just don't get that message. Until that clear/clean break and division comes it won't make a damn how good your particular cell design is, nor would it make any difference if that cell was already in production. The fools the equate the two will continue to suppress the PPS of ALL SOLAR COMPANIES!
No amount bitching and whinning about share price, cell value, untrustworthy management, claims of poorly manage companies will make damn bit of differance to big investors. Talk about a 2000 pound rock! Here you have global sized bolder that just won't move.
With time smart people forget what they once had to say about this company.

It surprises me how many are jumping off the ship the last few days. Put things in prospective for a moment. A year go this company was nothing but a promise, a year later doing 14 million in sales.
A CEO who has established that when he makes a promise he does his very best to fill those promises.
He has brought to this chump change company not one but 2 profitable companies.
Over the last few days he has promised his shareholders 2 additional acquisitions and the hopes of being in 100 million in revenue.
Some look at these promises as being unrealistic pointing out the revenue of the two companies we are ready acquired.
IMHO, his stating 100 million in revenue 2015 includes the projection of sale of the new cell in 2015. If this is taken in to consideration a 100 million in revenue might not be that far out of reach.
As of today JN, has not shown that he will not try his best to make this happen. In a penny stock you can't for more than that.
I also believe the high volume over the last week is necessary dilution, you can not make acquisitions or do research with out funds.
He said the manufacturer partner will be by end of the 4th quarter, we have 45 days left. I believe he will deliver.
Opportunity is Everywhere if you know where to look. Get Started at E*TRADE.
I suppose that if people are going to hand feed all this DD to him I might as well help out.
Try this for a working prototype demo. Or do we doubt Bloomberg also?
http://www.bloomberg.com/news/videos/b/dbb78949-4b6a-44d4-a4f4-f4a02cc9af4f
Whatever! You do realize that you are doing his DD for him. And NOW we have AN official document from you as opposed to his unofficial incorrect quote.
Also, if I am uncomfortable with something a company is doing I do my own DD and get my answers, or I go directly to the people in charge and get an answer. I don't go crying to the board asking them to take care of my need for reassurance. Bah and humbug!
It is pretty clear that you have not bothered to read the terms of the Elite aquisition. I suggest that all involved in this assine discussion table it and move on. Your plaster made high horse is crumbling out from under you.
Done.
2000lb rock stays stuck. Try looking up the word VIRTUALLY, dictionaries are wonderfull tools for clarifying meaning.
Perhaps it should be pointed out, in the interest of being positive, that the a-holes at etrade actually did all of you a favor. See now that you know more none of you will reinvest your divy in this POS. Unlike many did who use different brokers. All of my divy was invested in SLTD stock. Got lucky on that one. Not everybody here was lucky on their reinvestment. So you tgat are now getting your money have lucked out and invest in something more positive. That's the bright side guys. Etrade did you a favor, wasn't their intent but stillll.
Enjoy your money!
Please PLEASE, do your own DD. Your questions have been answered numerous times in the last two years. The facts have been made public many times. The cell results has been published and demonstrated. The reality of the manufacturing situation has been explained.
HERE! HERE! Well said.
HERE ! HERE! Well stated. Again!
No you did not say he had his hand in the cookie jar. Ok?
After that trying to debate with you is like trying to move a 2000 lb bolder with your bare hands and no assist gadgets. Can't be done. Once you have adopted a position not hell or high water will move you, you must be a virgo.
Yes JN said the money (cash on hand) would only be usd for aquisitions! AND IT HAS BEEN!
It's your elephant you move it. I'm done with repeating myself.
If Jim has us positioned correctly by them, and I think he is well on the way, then the ITC will mean nothing if it goes, we will be in the best competitive position. Maybe another reason the 3d cell isn't out there yet, holding it in reserve for critical competive advantage next year. On the other hand, if the ITC gets extended then we are in a even better position.
If the ITC does expire so will a lot of companies that rely on it to support their market position. Take it away they will fold leaving the market to those with strong monetary positions.
It is only a valid question if you have your suppositions correct, along with correct facts, neither of which you applied in this case. Maybe you would want to start with the 11 mil raised exclusively for acquisitions, then you might want to thrown in that the shares used in this aquisition were class B preferred shares which at this point have no dilution value at all. It is hard to understand why one would need to repay anything money that was used as it was designated to be used all along. That is for acquisition. Don't see that anyone was caught with their hand in the cookie jar. As a matter of fact seems to me that JN was protecting our common stock. JMHO
I am so impressed. NOT. Some ass just sold 30 shares for .15 cents lower than what we closed at yesterday.
WTF?
Mooon, not going to happen. I am way way upside down on this and have at this point no choice but to ride it down while believing it might recover. Sometimes that is all you can do. Have had it happen a couple of times, sold once and kicked myself for years afterward as it recovered and went up. Rode the other one into the ground, hung on and eventually recovered enough to break even, then got out. As you know and have pointed out, stocks are not for the weak of heart or will. I will ride this one back to at least even.
Ok, nobody can get a nose bleed. Ok?
Whatever he is using for info about SLTD is obviously a good match. His POS From Their POS!
Jim, along with a lot of the rest of us, is probably tearing his hair out wondering what the hell he has to do to get this moving up?
General SOP for consolidating aquisitions?
Remember Magnavox being purchased by Phillips? They kept seperate ID's for a year or so. Then slowly but surely they started the change. Here is how it works.
Let's use Sunworks.
Ad going out.
SUNWORKS announces new deal. SUNWORKS a part of Solar3d Announces new contract!
A month later.
Sunworks announces a new deal. Sunworks a part of SOLAR3D announces New Contract.
A Month later.
SOLAR3D announces new Sunworks contract.
A Month later.
SOLAR3D announces new contract signing by subsidiary Sunworks, hence being known only only as SOLAR3D.
SOLAR3D announces new contract signing by central Cal devision.
To my knowledge and memory we never applied for a european patent.
I don't think anything has substantially change in this arena. Just more of the same o wait o. Of course I must point out that you can't apply in this day and age for a patent on a bogus product. We would have been nailed a couple of years ago if it wasn't valid. Just sayin!
Just thought I might throw that in the mix for the doubters who think JN should be strung up as a lier!
And NO, emotions have nothing to do with it. Just the facts mam, just the facts.
Sorry! Dupe. Haven't done that rookie thing in a long while.
Markp, check all your various emails for important info.
I hereby declare that SLTD may only be traded in the future between 0930 and 1300 hundred hours. This will ensure that we will always see a 4% or larger gain each day. Make it so!
Well I can dream can't I?
Only until 1 PM.
Thank you so much for totally uneducated opinion.
At the risk of stirring the pot, I would like to point out that our patent requests, both domestically and internationally, have not moved in months and months.
This means that everything is still under review which seems to be a long time. It also means the cell is real. There is of course the question of "is it the first"? The fact that it is taken this long to get nowhere on that subject tells you another reason as to why manufacturers are not jumping in bed left and right. I see this as meaning there are some very highly complex issues involved.
Perhaps it might be worthwhile to point out that in todays rapidly change landscape, high tech may suffer from an overabundance of caution on the part of those who might otherwise manufacture a new product. In other words, without the final patent they aren't going to do squat.
Suggest that this fact be included in factoring who is at fault for the cell not yet being on the market.
Narrow angled views just don't work well in todays reality. All possible probabilities and factors need to be taken into account prior to judgements being made as to the veracity of a CEO or his team.
In other words, one must keep up on ones DD if one is to possibly understand the situation and it's reality. It is rare, even in scams, that anyone person is at fault for any single issue.
Tanakia, untill we meet again.
Jim Nelson, CEO of Solar3D, commented, “In the solar industry, it is not enough to have high efficiency, you must also be low cost. We started our company with the mantra of ‘Breakthrough Product, Common Manufacturing,’ and I am pleased to report that we are right on track.”
Nelson continued, “The key to the successful low cost fabrication of our 3D solar cell is that we can use existing semiconductor manufacturing facilities and machines. This is important for two reasons:
1. The semiconductor manufacturing technology we are designing for was perfected in the 1990s. So, there will be no significant operational bugs in the machines or the processes, and the technology has only gotten better over time.
2. Because of our ability to use existing machines and facilities, there will be little or no new need to “invent” new machines or construct new facilities just to make our 3D solar cell.”
A photovoltaic solar cell is basically a diode, and a diode is the most basic building block of modern day microprocessors and electronics. The micro-photovoltaic structures that make up our Solar3D cell are essentially diodes. By designing these “diodes” in the correct shape and size, the company believes its 3D structures can easily be produced in widely available high speed semiconductor manufacturing facilities.
Mr. Nelson concluded, “In the end, we intend to achieve what every solar innovator hopes for: More Power, in a Smaller Space, for Less Money.”

It is very apparent that you have never been involved in a startup company. From the management side that is.
If you think that a company lays out a five year plan and never deviates from it you a very much mistaken. Successful startup companies must always be ready to throw out the plan and write a new one on the spot.
Take a kook at Southwest airlines. Back in the seventies when we started out the intent was to expand service not only within Texas but all so to major cities throughout north america. Cities like Chicago, Atlanta Miami etc.
As we solitified service inside Texas we began planning the bigger expansions. The came Speaker of the House Jim Wright. In order to protect his buddies over at Braniff, also based in Texas, Mr. Wright attached an amendment to an aviation bill prohibiting SWA from flying beyond the five contiguous states of Texas. The boarder states. Not only that but we were not allowed to make reservations for anyone who planned on connecting with a carrier that would fly them beyong the contiquous states.
In answer Herb Kellher, CEO and a lawyer. Set out to buy companies like MUSE air out of Chicago. Service to all cities we served was expanded to minimum of Five round trips per day. Major hubs like Huston and Dallas were expanded to twenty round trips per day.
Braniff went into Bankruptcy and disappeared. Texas Air went into bankruptcy and disappeared.
Due to quick thing and quick changes of direction in that and other situations SWA is now the fourth largest carrier in the US and is the ONLY airline that has never posted a loss after Mr. Wrights intervention.
Flexability in startups is critical to sucess. Had you ever been there you would know that.
BTW. When the time was right, Herb went to tge Supreme Court and had the Wright ammendment declared unconstitutional. Speaker Wright retired from congress under a cloud of corruption.
Also, My common sense has served me quite well for many many years. Emotions never have a place in business.
How many times do some here have to be told and hear that
THE CELL IS REAL?
JN has stated that the third prototype was completed successfully!
It has been stated that the cell was and is ready for lab to fab!
It has been stated that the cell has been presented to multiple manufacturers but nobody wants to stop production when they can already sell everything the are making!
JN has stated that he underestimated the difficulty of getting the cell to market!
JN stated that he needed to hire someone to market THE CELL. Yes, as far as we know that hasn't happened yet. Perhaps one of the disillusioned would care to volunteer?
At this point in time the cell is an ace in the hole, to be pursued when the incentive programs expire. At that time manufacturers will be looking for an edge as their production and profits wane. The 3D cell will be that edge for some company.
SLTD can NOT afford to build it's own manufacturing plant nor do I think we should. JN stated from the beginning that the plan was to license the cell. Therefore waiting makes sense. The market will see a need eventually.
In the meantime JN is moving us into a very good position of profit. Moving us forward with speed from a micro cap company to a small cap. The cell will only enhance things.
It is absolutely HEROIC that some people can claim they have never made a mis-statement. That they have always achieved every goal set in front of them or by them. These same people might claim they have never deviated from the road they set for themselves. I applaud and worship anyone who can obtain that. They of course would be considered a saint or martyr.
One final thought here.
If Jim is continually misleading investors with FALSE STATEMENTS in regards to the cells existence, I would submit to all that our CEO is courting felony charges. I would submit that he is intentionally committing fraud knowing the penalty to HIMSELF, HIS FAMILY, HIS COMPANY AND YES TO HIS INVESTORS!
I would suggest that those investors who feel they can not trust the management of SLTD to keep their best interest in mind move on. The hypocrisy is making me sick. The self public flagellation of their discontent, as they continue to make money from this stock is disingenuous at best, and self serving at the least.
To "hoist with one's own petard" comes to mind for these types.
