Quote: I'm going to go with the real professionals on this one. Again.
______________________________________
And just who are 'the real professionals'? People that have never ever found a Spanish Colonial shipwreck or even excavated one.
Ferrous non-ferrous underwater metal detectors perform right through this ridiculous worm poop. And I suppose the worm poop accumulated right over the mounds of silver bars and chests (which are on top). I gave you the perfect example of the 1622 Santa Margarita and N. S. Atocha where the treasure lay mostly exposed. No such worm poop nonsense.
Quote: Let us know when you've been on the Juno site, inspected the teredo crust and have reviewed the science behind the SeaSearcher.
Until then, you are just making guesses. Not helpful.
____________________________________________
Not guessing at all. I know of no less than three (very) professional persons that dove and surveyed the site. The hilarious worm poop aside, there just 'ain't' nothing there. Quite a folly.
Quote: These comments from people not associated with the science, planning, organization or actions of SFRX are simply meant to muddy the water or confuse people.
__________________________________
These comments are associated with persons (including myself) who have seen and excavated Spanish Colonial period shipwrecks. The worm poop theory is absolute nonsense. A perfect indisputable example is that of the 1622 'N. S. Atocha and 'Santa Margarita as discovered by Mel Fisher. Have you ever seen the photos of the main hull ballast pile? In the case of the Atocha, the silver bars are in very exposed stacks as are the remnants of the WOODEN chests. It just seems this company thrives on excuses.
Quote: I can't wait to see what has been hidden under that teredo crust all these hundreds of years.hugy
_______________________________________________
It remains very hard to believe anyone would be so gullible thinking that a huge (tons) of treasure are under teredo crust. No documented salvage of a Spanish Colonial period treasure wreck showed any such thing. A ship sinks and lists over to port or starboard side. The wooden hull is on the bottom. The ballast is inside the hull on top. The stacks and stacks of treasure are on top that. So based upon this nonsense theory the worm poop generated by the consumption of the hull wood winds up on top of all. How could anyone even begin to believe this.

Did it ever occur to you that actually getting that permit is one of the last things this one grand a day CEO wants. Then the jigs up. No treasure. Then what. What's the next act?
The voyage of the ship of fools. Good luck/.
I have the feeling the CEO really doesn't want to see that permit issued. That means show up or setup time another will be nothing to show. There is no pile of treasure at Juno Beach wreck site.
I see the company continues selling hot air balloon rides. No evidence ever that the SeaSearch works and never any treasure. No surprise.
So what are you saying. Confrontation with facts is no longer allowed. SeaSearcher to this day has never found treasure. Melbourne was a failure and Juno always was and still is a 'nothing burger'
Seasearcher remains an unproven concept. To date, unless kept secret, it has not found any treasure of any sort. Allot of smoke but never any fire.
With regard to outside the three mike limit, with respect to Spanish treasure galleons, you say 'free game'. Tell Spain that.
Quote: You are a shining beacon of truth!!
Thank you!!

Better than half way through the season. So where's the treasure?
Just asking.
Quote:I suggest any detractors who now say they never claimed SFRX and specifically SeaSearcher was a con seek professional help immediately, and I don't mean a hooker. You are either delusional or suffer from amnesia.

I hope you are not making reference to me. Never implied SFRX or SeaSearcher was a con. To date SeaSearcher remains a unproven novelty - zero success track record in the world of undersea treasure hunting.
Quote: Surely someone said "Hey, in the past they pumped freshwater from the top down to the bottom to clear the dark water." And from there they set about making what they needed.
_________________________________________________
The methodology for getting clear water pumped down to the murky water on the bottom was already invented and frequently used so why are you trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill?
Also, let me state that I for one never labeled this company as a scam or pump and dump scheme. On the other hand I have always (and continue to do so) questioned the professionalism and competence of the company based upon its total lack of performance that being finding treasure.
So to clarify, SFRX has already invented a device that clears the water on the bottom when it's too dark from poor clarity to see down there by pumping fresh water from the top down where the divers are. They've used it many times. Clever. Smart.

A very simple question. When is that going to be. In the next century? So where's the treasure?
Quote: Sfrx finally admitted there's no treasure at Melbourne, but it's further out in sea.
I hope they find something at Juno, but I have my doubts. My shares are free from here on our. And I won't sell them , hopefully they can get profitable and just maybe find treasure somewhere .

How many times have I stated they were wasting time on FLOTSAM. The actual wreck is miles away.

This continues to be a clown show. Always has been and probably always will be.
Based upon the statement, he's not aware of even further liability. Many times the artillery (cannons) aboard Spanish merchant ships were lent or leased to them by the Crown. If so, the ship can therefore be classified as a 'vessel of war'. That was determined at the UNESCO Underwater Cultural Heritage Treaty formation in Paris, France in 1999 or 2000. Spain was quite emphatic about this.
All of this is nonsense anyway. No shipwreck found at Melbourne. FLOTSAM.
The Juno shipwreck. A 100 ft. ballast pile which according to the clown ringmaster contains billions in treasure. But oddly enough not one cannon. I posted this explanation before but it went right over their heads. There is more than one incident documented (AGI Spain) where a vessel was leaking badly and could not be repaired at sea. Sea conditions favorable, all cargo (treasure) anchors and artillery was transferred onto another vessel/vessels. The Juno wreck fits that scheme perfectly. No artillery, no treasure, no anchors with the exception of the one she was riding on when all this occurred. All likelihood she was SCUTTLED.
Oh, but maybe I need to rethink all of this considering the billions in treasure, and probably the artillery are five miles away from the ballast pile as some have implied. Oh, but then there's the treasure is under the worm poop theory. I guess that would also include the perhaps 30 to 40 imaginary cannons as well.
Tell me this isn't the most classic clown show you've ever seen in the world of shipwreck treasure hunting. The excuses are only going to get better.
Tell me thi
Oh no SME, I absolutely want to discuss it and it IS relevant when the ship is identified.
I believe we have had this circular debate for years. What Twiddle Doom fails to recognize Quote: and you too when discussing OMEX and Spain, THEY LIED TO FOREIGN GOVERNMENT ENTITIES AS WELL AS THEIR OWN.
I know you hate this next one too; reasonable entities can come to equitable solutions. The problem with OMEX and all the other yahoos in the industry is they start most, if not all, negotiations with a lie. Not a great way to build trust.
I promise you, if the wreck is Spanish, which is a real likely hood, a compromise will be found especially if the wreck cannot be determined as a vessel of war.
Sorry, grown ups win this one.

Aaah, the OMEX model. Worry about……
legal rights AFTER you locate a wreck.
Spoken like a novice.
You’re a good fit with SFRX.
..................................;..;...................
I just read his comment again along with your reply. It goes beyond comprehension that such a novice statement could even be made. Power for the course for SFRX and the cheerleading squad.
Quote; There will be plenty of time to debate UNESCO after there has been a shipwreck found worth salvaging. Until then, talk of UNESCO is just a distraction, but I think you already knew that.
.........................................................................;;
How very wrong you are. Understand that in the case of Florida, as I said, UNESCO is not an issue.
........and no it's not a distraction. Obviously something you prefer not to hear.
Quote: Kyle’s latest comments were something like, SFRX can’t ID the wreck, so how could Spain?
FWIW, I actually don’t think UNESCO is the nail in the coffin for salvaging Spanish vessels. The Bahamas is an example. They considered what Allen X is/was salvaging to be their property, not Spain’s.
..................................................................
Of course SFRX; cannot ID the wreck. As you and I know they have never found it. No wreck just flotsam.
With regard to the Bahamas and Allen, the difference is that the Bahamas have not ratified the UNESCO treaty. Even so, all that Allen has recovered from the Maravillas he has donated to the government - no division. The same applies to Colombia. Even though they too have not ratified the UNESCO treaty they are not allowing division on the intended salvage of the deep water San Jose galleon.
For a companies such as SFRX its a no go issue. Particularly SFRX as they don't qualify in the requirements of any host country who don't accept inexperienced amateurs.
Quote: Why bother discussing UNESCO when you experts have declared you are correct. Nothing said here will change your mind, so why waste time arguing.
.........................................................
Clearly, you are evading the question. The nails in the lid of the coffin for the future of treasure hunting in the countries who have ratified the UNESCO Treaty. Respective to Spanish galleon shipwreck treasure it's a dead duck future but SFRX and the cheerleaders choose to stay in denial. Just isn't very helpful for selling stock.
As to Reynolds his previous achievements are to be respected I would agree but getting back to that old 'bottom line', achievement and results, both of which are totally lacking.
Quote; Thanks for posting LB Toon. Great information including Tim Reynolds sharing his bonafide technology background and experience, which our arm chair experts are fond of discounting and/or ridiculing because, you know....armchair technologists. So you either have to believe our experts, which would mean that whole interview was nothing but lies, or you can believe SFRX is legit. I for one am waiting for things to pop. Onward and Upward!
.............................................................
First of all, I'm not a armchair technologist. Secondly, I never implied that the interview was nothing but lies but rather a obvious exposure of naiveness and lack of experience in application of remote sensing surveys and actually 'proofing' anomalies and making identification of Spanish Colonial Period shipwrecks. Common sense dictates that performance and achievement are the bottom line. With this company there is no 'bottom line'. It's all talk and no show.
A question for you Whaoo98. Why is it that you and other cheerleaders here totally avoid any intelligent comment regarding the UNESCO Underwater Cultural Heritage Treaty? Knowing anything about its content you would understand that treasure hunting for Spanish shipwreck's in particular is a dead industry. Nonnegotiable. This subject is avoided like the plague by the SFRX know it all's and swept under the carpet. Of course Florida is not yet subject to this but, as proven with Global Marine, they adhere to the concepts of the treaty. A pissing in the wind situation.
Quote: Just think, if they got Spain’s permission they could tell the FBAR to take a hike.
.............................................................
Spain is never going to work with treasure hunters. They were therein ramrod for ushering in the UNESCO Underwater Cultural Heritage Treaty which I assure you very few stockholders posting here have ever read. Overall this is a dead industry respective to Spanish treasure wrecks. I find it most amusing how all these brilliant know it all's avoid this subject like the plague.
Furthermore, the academic community - host countries that would perhaps entertain issuance of exploration / salvage contracts, frown upon the naive SFRX concept of we scan a wreck site 'to go for the gold' thus avoiding methodical excavation of the entire site. Nice for stockholders but not for host country ministry's of culture. It's near inconceivable that SFRX should be so foolish so as to portray themselves this way. The answer is quite simple. They lack experience. They've never done it. Amateurs.
Yes, I listened to the interview 'the blind leading the blind' with a lot of statements of misrepresentation by the CEO but for him that's nothing new.
Quote ;I believe they have found treasure & are simply marketing their tech in the meantime. Why would they recover it & lose it? Without all proper permits in place SFRX would suffer the same consequences as OMEX vs.Spain?
___________
I seriously doubt that.
How does one market tech for which there is no proof whatsoever that it even works?
Quote Something to ponder.. according to Patrick Bet-David (famous entrepreneur), there's 3 levers you can pull to achieve orders of magnitude growth in your business.
-New tech
-New innovative marketing campaign
-New leadership team members
___________________________________
Certainly sound advise for achievement.;
In the case of SFRX they have 'new tech.' for which there is no factual evidence proving it even works. It's years now. Furthermore they have no 'product' to market meaning to date they have never found a shipwreck, have never worked a shipwreck and have never found treasure.
Respective to 'leadership team members' - obviously bright and innovative guys but so so naive. To anyone of experience its obvious they know next to nothing about Spanish Colonial period shipwrecks or the processes involved in doing proper research, analysis and application of remote sensing surveys.
Bottom line is time will tell but none should not hold their breath while waiting.
Quote; Make a plan for Monday to spread & get the word out. SFRX is about to go! This company is amazing!
.........................................
Amazing for what? Please explain. Be explicit.
Quote: No worries. Just pointing out that Tim Reynolds is in fact correct, and he is. Now back to the ballast pile, maritime law, two days and all that jazz!

So I believe what you mean is back to the routine bullshit.
Quote: You might want to also look up consumed/consumption up in a dictionary, my friend. What do you think corrosion is? What do you think deterioration is? If you dropped a 1 lb. silver bar in the ocean and retrieved it 500 years later, would it still be 1lb. once all the corrosion were removed? It is you who is not correct.

It's really amusing how some people will go to extremes trying to pick the rye out of the horse shit. Let it go.
No I wasn't wrong. I've recovered silver coins and partook in the cleaning processes.

eat, drink, or ingest (food or drink): people consume a good deal of sugar in drinks.
• buy (goods or services).
• use up (a resource): these machines consume 5 percent of the natural gas in the U.S.
• (especially of a fire) completely destroy: the fire spread rapidly, consuming many homes.
• (usually be consumed) (of a feeling) absorb all of the attention and energy of (someone): Carolyn was consumed with guilt.
Quote; Quick question for our expert. Does salt water corrode silver over time (whether 10 or 300 years)? You might want to look up the word eventually in the dictionary. Was Tim Reynolds correct? its rhetorical.
___________________________________
Reynolds was not correct. Silver will corrode (sulfide) but is not consumed as he stated. I have seen centuries old silver coins come out of the ocean looking like they were just minted while others are badly sulfided / deteriorated, all coming out of a same area of recovery. Most silver coins are processed in an electrolytic bath which removes superficial black corrosion. Considering the fact that SFRX has never found Silver coin treasure, what would they know.
Quote; SFRX affiliates don't appreciate skeptics holding SFRX's.....
claims to account, but they rush to hold the claims of others to account.
It's fun to watch and gonna be a fun year.
FYI....Timmy and the Empire Builder chit chat is about to begin.
........................................................
What a crock of 'you know what' interview. Reynolds should stay with trying to make his toy work and shut his mouth on everything else. I could cite multiple errors in his comments but the best one was the 'everything is consumed except the gold'. As for Mel Fisher's Atocha discovery; hundreds of silver bars and a couple hundred thousand silver coins, not to mention silver artifacts all submerged for three and a half centuries. Then for another example there was Webber's discovery of the 1641 Concepcion with over 60,000 silver coins and silver artifacts recovered. Many, many more examples. He also fails to mention that the Timmy Toy doesn't find wrecks. It's suppose to scan a wreck site. For anyone in the know, his comments were more harmful than good.
Viewing the CEO sitting there, I doubt he's missed any meals lately.
Quote You must hold them to the same standard as SFRX, ground truth the evidence. I am skeptical, and BTW, I have heard similar pitches that came up with a nothing burger.
_________________________________________
Knowing the source of this, it is a 'nothing burger' as is the Timmy Toy.
Quote You mean proven by the same people who never noticed the massive teredo crust on the site? Those are the people you are using as so-called "proof"?
...........................................
I have dove on Spanish Colonial period shipwrecks in Florida, Bahama and Caribbean waters. I have seen timbers that were subject to heavy teredo worm activity along with their secretions. Never had I ever seen a ballast pile heavily blanketed over with that kind of secretion crust. A bunch of pure bull. The 1622 Atocha and Margarita wreck sites are very good examples. This teredo worm crap nonsense will well serve SFRX as an excuse for a long time coming while the nice well meaning 'egg heads' produce impressive company videos and the CEO continues to rake in a grand a day in salary.

A most absurd statement they made. Even worse than the UNPROVEN claims of what the Timmy Toy is suppose to do. 'Leading recovery process'. Recovery of what? As stated, they've never found a shipwreck, never excavated a shipwreck and, of course, have never found treasure. In reality its pathetic but then one has to look at it this way, hot air balloon profits is what it's all about.
