Do a search on methods to lower cost basis - for after tax accts. You can do the same for before tax accts too but there are no tax liability in trading before tax accts other than limitations RE settlement date (but you can do options too as long as you have the cash to back up the exposure) - I did that in my ira's so the numbers I posted referred to my after tax accts since I wanted to achieve long term cap gains status.
Any idea on when clinical testing timeline?
The 52 week range is 0.45 - 5.00 so it depends if you bought before or after FDA clearance. Price was way below 1 for a long while before the approach of FDA decision date so anyone that took advantage did fine. When will Titan start clinical testing - any guesses or guidance from the CEO?
Thanks for your concern but no worries, my original trxc purchases average in the 0.6x range and I have lowered my cost basis to 0.3x since FDA clearance. My apologies if the facts upset your apple cart. TRXC does have a challenging market to sell into since there is an 800 lb gorilla already in the house by the symbol ISRG.
We already have 2 FDA cleared single site systems. IMO Da Vinci SP will be the one to beat for abdominal surgery. The one that originated from CMU will be the one to beat for ENT surgery. Titan is just a money burning machine. Just look at the Bloom Burton website. Pig surgeries must be expensive and we aren't even close to clinical trials yet. Any volunteers?

Forget about GE. They sold their water division to Suez back in March and finalized in October. Matches the way their stock has behaved.
RE desalination - I think that it will have a big TGDT effect since water needs matches places with good solar potential and cost of generation dropping below 2 cents/kwh now. What are the plays? Millipore got bought out as i recall. There was also some smart college kids that figured out how to extract water from air, even at extremely low humidity. Not many pure plays here. GE?
While doing a search on single port surgical robotics, ran into the following interesting tidbit regarding CEO catching a Chinese spy trying to access computer files inside his facility. Medrobotics is private company with FDA cleared snake like robotic endoscope.

When specifically? How many months? Ten years now and they are still doing pigs.
Long way to go between doing surgery on pigs and moving on to humans. Surgeons are happy to get on the gravy train and get consulting fees on the path between animal experiments and clinical testing. Good thing about pigs is they don't complain or talk.
It could be that surgeons wanting single site entry can do it with their regular Da Vinci as the following surgeon did for lap chol.
Following your logic would suggest that nobody would buy the Da Vinci S, Si, Xi etc. so it doesn't explain single port lack of sales.
FDA cleared single port with 3 arms plus camera. Why hasn't this sold?
The list of polluters is long and penetration is still in early stages. We are all guilty to some degree. I felt pretty yucky in my old job knowing that my company was flaring in excess of 1 BCF/D off W. Africa while a majority of the local population did not have running water or electricity. I don't know the numbers currently but I am sure it is still happening although at a lesser extent.
UPS - Wasn't aware of their accelerating program to switch to alternative fuels and renewables. FDX must be have similar program.

There is more BS in that write up than Bandini mountain.
Yet another Medtronic issue. This time RE gas bubbles during cryoballoon ablation. Another thing to worry about besides permanent phrenic nerve injury. N is small because of special set up required to do brain imaging while ablating.

TRXC - sells rights to develop and market Surgibot to Chinese. Surgibot is a single port system that was previously rejected by the FDA via 510K route. It probably has to go through PMA route if they try again to get clearance costing much money and time. Good to focus their efforts on the approved platform and going "scarless" via 2.7 mm instruments while clinical data gets gathered in China.

TRXC - lap surgeon talks about platform usage, haptics, eye tracking etc. Interesting microlap instruments (2.7mm) review starting around 19 minutes.
A different way to treat post MI ventricular tachycardia using stereotactic radiation. Results are impressive but N is small.

I have a friend that suffered debilitating RA for 18 months and tried all sorts of RA meds. Nothing helped. Then he was diagnosed with lung cancer which was excised. Following which he went into remission and his RA went away. We are complex machines.
ICPT - the other factor wrt market pricing of probability is the NPV for the PBC indication and DB analyst starts with $1B right off the bat. If your $0.4B is closer to the mark, then market is already pricing in 50% prob for NASH. I am now short a smidgen.
ICPT - Reason for bounce. DB analyst thinks OCA NASH failure would be priced in at $51/shr. He also guesstimate 60% probability of success.

Economist discuss surgical robotics landscape. Excludes orthopedic surgery and PCI spaces. Missing from discussion are Transenterix and Titan, former recently obtained FDA clearance and latter still in preclinical testing.

RIOT - A failing microcap biotech gets rocket fuel via blockchain.

I get that. WRT IFN and IL2, why isn't part of the immune response triggered by TTI621 since many cytokines spike after dosing or why is the timing off if there are spikes in those? Forgive my lack of biochemistry knowledge.
XON insider sales are only 1/10th of that at CVX and why Barron's is making it sound like a significant signal is unclear to me. Although oil execs have been pretty much a buy and hold crowd in the past (that's just a feeling I have through informal networks and no sales data to back that sentiment up) and content to clip the dividends and pass the shares into heirs and estates.
LOL. Notice the author in the article wrote that Nikola's "math doesn't add up". From a web site devoted to old technology and anti-EV, that's saying something.

10 cases per million-person-years. Tiny market with small revenue potential?
Another $2M car dead on arrival. What a waste of money. It is like the F35 JSF, once it gets going the inertia is impossible to reverse until the wall hits.

GE feeling the disruption as Lazard review suggest that all power infrastructure players have to get ahead of the curve. GE does have significant market share in wind but their misreading of rate of change is apparent now.

Can you be more specific? Seems like normal volatility to me. BTC and etherium are not very tangible and going up. Commodities are relatively stable other than certain elements that go into batteries.
Lazard's latest review on levelized cost of energy. I am guessing utility scale battery storage is cost competitive with NG peaker plants. Will have to wait to see the tesla Q4 report to see how much they charged south Australia for the backup system. NG in Australia is mostly stranded if not for big LNG exports on the west coast.

Tesla autopilot - British auto insurance statistics are apparently different than AAA stats that suggest increased premiums needed. I have to take a more detailed look at AAA's report to see if this is an apples to apples treatment of stats. Friend has a S that was side swipe by truck not knowing S was next to it so I will get some anecdotal data. My understanding is that body work on rear and front areas is currently expensive because of all the sensors and recalibration needed after repairs and replacements.

Agree Watson's sale not unusual. Wirth's sale to retain ratio looks high IMO. It could just be a reflection of what has been recommended to him based upon market valuations independent of secular trends within o&g business.
ICPT - For some mysterious reason, there is a bid for 63.5 calls that expires at today's end and no bids below that to 62. Somebody must have left a bid in and forgot about it. I sold enough to cover concert tickets.
CVX - personal risk management by execs. New CEO cut his exposure by a large amount.

Regarding sleeper cabs, what is the additional space and equipment requirements compared to non-sleeper cabs? TIA
PS. Of the six Tesla owners I mentioned previously. Only one is on salary, remainder are small business owners.
