Ping,
Excellent post.
Do you have any idea on 'the rate of change' of people being enrolled in the trials?
eg, first month 6, second month 7 added, third month 12 added, etc, etc?
Showing that the rate of change has been accelerating might prove that the 14 hospitals that are participating are showing growing acceptance/confidence in the product.
TIA.
This is definitely odd. And illegal if true.
I hadn't received my proxies either.
I called my broker(s) and asked why I didn't receive them. They were able to give me a unique "control number" for each account that I had VTSI shares in.
They then instructed me to go to www.proxyvote.com, enter those control numbers and I was able to vote online.
If anyone has any doubt or has been contacted by Alliance, I would follow the steps above and make sure your vote is being recorded as you expect.
Again, you should have received a proxy or a control number for each individual account you hold VTSI shares in.
If you get a call from Alliance and they do not give you the option to vote "No", ask for the callers name and ask to speak with his manager.
Pretty quiet all around today. Perhaps the calm before the run.
Some filing action tonight.
1 for 1000 reverse split? Not sure what to make of it.

Agreed, and I did vote yes on item #2.
Al,
There is no 'gang'. There are the experienced investors, and then there are the insiders and inexperienced investors.
Did you read the proxy or the quote I pulled from it? I don't believe management could have made it more clear.
Did you read my comments that I don't think they intend to go private?
I'm getting a bit worried about the few shareholders here that are actually inexperienced enough to believe that the R/S will be a good thing.
I agree. However they were 'less restrictive' on uplisting comments during the call.
I'm still dumbfounded (beyond my usual state), that many investors who aren't ihubbers still don't even know that a conference call had taken place.
This is what I would call a non-level playing field. Fair news dissemination means exactly what it intends to mean.
I'm chalking this up to inexperience on the part of management and their "multiple advisors", however, I've voted NO on all items.
I don't believe they intend to take the company private. They wouldn't have announced Donnie buying up some shares on the cheap because quite frankly, they had no obligation to.
This haphazard proposal needs to be rethought and re-presented. Everyone needs a time-out and some time to regroup.
Jed needs to add a voice mailbox message and pick up the phone or return calls once in awhile.
Yet a few days earlier he stated the following:
Although the Company does not now have any definitive plans to expand the trading markets in
which the Common Stock is traded, the higher trading price that should result from the Reverse Stock Split should help
pave the way for the inclusion in any additional trading markets that the Company may elect to pursue in the future.
I wouldn't make too much of this SEC form on the PinkSheets/OTCMarkets site.
Something smells fishy, no?
For some odd reason, this form was filed on Pinksheets.com even though it's an SEC specific form.
I certainly hope he files the same forms when he sells. Seems a precedence has been set and it would be the correct legal thing to do.
I still can't help to think that we'd be in the teens without this RS proposal hanging over us.
Great news! I can't help but to think what the stock price would be today without the R/S proposal in play.
Good call. The 200day SMA seems to be the spot to keep a nice sized bid on. And even after this past pullback, it is still increasing.
Good luck to you!
Nice holdings! Take it slow if you're looking for more. Let the suckers come down to you. Let them get blindsided.
In a very positive way if you're long the stock.
Those ain't just ordinary goose bumps - they're "Le" goose bumps.
How quickly sumpin small can turn out to be sumpin big.
Rock on my brutha.
Ya'll need to batten down the hatches. What you'll see over the next few weeks is going to leave people "shock and awed".
Why are they filing forms on pinksheets.com that are specific to SEC reporting? Doesn't make any sense.
No doubt it's still nice to see an insider buying even though this is coming across as a bit of a pump.
In fact I do - just thought it was interesting how Gander went about going private.
Odd, this stock hasn't seen any volatility in the past year until last Thursday and you've been around since March, 2010.
I'd love to know how you've been cashing in, but I guess "it's none of my business"
Thanks Ztect. I guess I need to dig deeper with ETrade.
Here's the email response I got:

Dear xxx,
Thank you for your message regarding the proxy.
I checked with our corporate actions team to see if E*Trade has received any proxy notices from VTSI. They have confirmed we have not received anything yet from the the company. If VTSI sends any proxy notices to E*Trade they will be forwarded to you in turn. It is also possible that VTSI will mail you a notice directly to your address. If you have any additional questions and/or concerns, please call me at 1-800-503-xxx. Thank you.

Appreciate the update. Might have something to do with being an OBO vs. a NOBO.
I'm new to this board, so I just gotta ask:
For some reason, I thought it was a 98 patient open label study...? Granted the numbers are far off, and I'm no math expert, but isn't there some equation that could interpolate margin of error between a 97 patient study and a 1690 patient study which was performed 10 years ago?
Are you an actual doctor? If so in which field?
Do you have any association to any of CTSO's competitors?
How do you feel about CTSO as a potential investment? Are you simply looking for further clarification on trial results before you would consider investing?
No offense should be taken, and I appreciate your input.
ahhh - got it - here's what changed in the new annual report filing:
C. Analysis Points from President and COO - Donald R. Andrus
...
8. We will protect and leverage our intellectual property to drive new revenues.
9. We will carefully monitor expense outflows throughout this process to reduce and minimize accelerated expense rates
during this high growth period.
10. We will accept nothing less than 100% customer satisfaction in all segments of our business.
11. We will accept nothing more than 25% shareholder satisfaction in all segments of the 'public' part of being a public company. Once the lemming shareholders have satisfied all of our toxic debt and IRS back taxes, we will throw them to the wolves and pocket the money for ourselves. Since I, Donald R. Andrus, hold a smaller stake in the company than almost all shareholders, I will ensure that the stock price takes a precipitous decline which I will trigger by a devious yet absurd reverse split proposal, followed by the withholding of material news, so that I may enter my position at a deep discount. We will refuse to acknowledge that audited financials are more important than a $7.00, non-filing stock that still trades on the pinksheets
Hopefully someone has the patience to compare them side by side and see what changed. Someone here indicated the #s were off by $16K - maybe the re-filing was related to that.
I gotta ask this again - has anyone received a proxy from either Etrade or TDA? If you did receive a proxy, where was it from?
I contacted my rep at Etrade today and he said they have not been notified of any proxy for VTSI - he said it could come directly from the company or a clearing house.
Also, Xigris seems to be mostly used for severe sepsis (2 or more organs failing) Perhaps CTSO might have their starting niche in the less severe (and perhaps more numerous) cases? I'm a bio-tech newbie, so please forgive my ignorance. Just trying to figure this all out.
Xigris is used in adult patients with severe sepsis. Sepsis is a condition when bacteria get into the bloodstream and produce harmful substances (toxins). The toxins cause the patient’s organs to fail, such as the heart, lungs and kidneys. Xigris is used when the patient has two or more organs failing, in addition to best standard care such as antibiotics, medicines to support the organs and treatment in a specialised unit. Xigris should be used mainly when it can be started within 24 hours of the organ failure. It is intended for short-term use.
Xigris only showed a 6% increase in survival rates and was granted special approval by both the EU and FDA despite its side effects? Is that % hugely significant in the medical world?
Granted, I'd take that percentage if it was one of my loved ones under treatment.
What if CTSO's product comes in at a 20 or 30% increase? Could it become the dominant treatment for sepsis?
The annual report has been refiled AGAIN:
http://www.otcmarkets.com/otciq/ajax/showFinancialReportById.pdf?id=47398
There should be a "delta" section to describe what changed.
The "do not anticipate a split" and shareholders of record #s are still the same.
Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?
Is it correct to infer from your statement that as long as CTSO's product doesn't kill more people than those that are on a placebo, it's good to go?
Thanks. I believe the survival rate in the 'rodent test' was fairly positive.
Does anyone know how well 'rodent' results typically transform into 'human' results?
Probably a hard question to actually quantify depending on the type of test being done.
Good points.
Are you aware of any FDA or EU approved drugs/devices for Sepsis that have published trial-based survival rates?
TIA.
The $5.15 price was a 35% premium to the market close prior to it being announced.
Gotcha. I agree with your statements. The SEC might have a different opinion on the matter depending on events that may or not unfold in the future, especially the way the proxy and the conference call were haphazardly released.
There are still many shareholders that have not received their proxy (myself included), and many more that don't even know the conference call happened. This is simply poor execution at best, shady at worst.
Interesting article on how Gander went private. Ironically, it all started with a Reverse Split to take out shareholders.
http://www.gandermountain.com/news/2010/011410_print.shtml
Has anyone considered forming a shareholder group and hiring a securities attorney with the goal of fully understanding our rights?
Well, couldn't the fact that management specifically stated they have no plans to uplist on both the CC and written within the proxy open management up to legal liabilities if they did in-fact uplist in the near future?
Something ain't right here. Still voting no to the R/S.
Interesting interpretation - what I saw was the bid being pounded down.
I think we can assume that a partnership with a huge pharma is currently in the works. When we hear about, I think we'll have another 100%+ day.
Let the MMs get the shares they need. When they're done, it will run.
What's next?
Dr. Chan: If things go well, we hope to transition from
a development-stage to a commercial-stage company in 2011,
with revenues and profits hopefully shortly thereafter. And we are
closer to that goal than at any other time in the company’s history.
We think that the next 12 to 24 months will be very exciting.
Goals we are targeting include finishing our trial, getting CE
Mark approval, selling product in Europe and broadening the
scope of our potential clinical applications, announcing a strategic
partnership deal, beginning a U.S. trial, and importantly, getting
on to a national exchange for our stock. If we can achieve these
milestones, it will be an interesting time for all of us, to say the
least.
In addition, the proxy specifically states that they have no current plans to uplist.
Although the Company does not now have any definitive plans to expand the trading markets in
which the Common Stock is traded, the higher trading price that should result from the Reverse Stock Split should help
pave the way for the inclusion in any additional trading markets that the Company may elect to pursue in the future.
Obviously no one is buying this past week or so.
Management is obviously stumped at this moment because they're minority owners of the stock, they inherited a botched charter (good for shareholders, bad for management) and Texas law prohibits them from issuing super-voting preferred shares to themselves without an amendment to the charter specifying the characteristics of those preferred shares - that of course requires a resolution and shareholder vote.
http://law.onecle.com/texas/business-corporation/2.12.00.html
The items on the proxy require either a 2/3 or 3/4 vote Yes. They will all be voted down.
Personally, I'm looking for a better deal for shareholders.
VOTE NO - FIGHT THE POWER!
