Mostly gold and oil now but in this crazy market less and less activity for me
very interesting -- thanks
I tried Chrome but was not impressed, but could be my anti-social computer. Let me know how you like it. About i5 vs i7 I did Google it (a main theme in my life) but curious if you had come across same observations.

Thanks for heads up! BTW, I've been meaning to ask -- 'Is it true that an Intel i7 processor has a tendency to overheat easily and that is why the i5 is usually preferable?
Cheers!

Interesting about 64 bit vs 32 bit o/s. I always thought 64bit was better but now ...
originunknown: priceless
Kinda lonely here so I often do talk to myself. :)
You are not alone when it comes to FireFox or Windows Vista
ABX down ... may go way lower if price of gold does not pickup soon and markets start crashing over failure of QE to materialize and euro crisis collapse.

Actually it was a lot more complicated than that ... a MSFT rep in Manilla took over his computer and managed to get rid of Sirefef after 4 hours and two experts looking at it. They did recommend a MSFT scan tool to check for any future problems. I have tried it and it caught stuff Advanced Computer Care 5, MSE, and ESET had missed.
They were going to charge a flat $99.99 to remove toolkit but waived fee when they saw how long he had waited etc

All I know for sure is that in the recent update list for August 1, 2012 FF listed a 'patch' as having failed to install properly which is when my problems started. Now if there is no such thing as a patch for FF then I am way more lost in my old age than I had thought initially. Consequently I stand accused of inaccuracy.
Found a FF patch that had failed on installation so I re-installed FF which didn't help until I rebooted computer. Seems fine since ....
Lots of peeps complaining about recent FF updates messing things up.
Hi! Re-installed and rebooted FF and all seems fine now.
My Firefox started crashing over and over this morning after it was working fine for 30 minutes. I notice a FF patch installed this morning failed so I re-installed FF but with no success. Any ideas?
Thanks
Hmmm exact same thing happened when I tried a trial version of Vipre antivirus software. Some thing weird going on here. I have lots of memory and half my hard drive still free?????
Firefox updates are getting annoying
Probably will not hear from the bro till tomorrow but will definitely keep you posted. Sorry about keeping you hanging this way. Hope you find a solution in the interim.
Vipre does not work so good on Vista Premium (I tested it) but I read it works great on Windows 7. XP also not very good friend of Vipre.
Hi!
My friend called MSFT and after 4 hours on phone they were able to get rid of Sirefef. I don't have all the details but it appears that the solution was

More details later as they come in ... glty
TLM crossed 200 day moving average yesterday making it bullish
Is it normal to feel that the 6 speed automatic in Malibu and Sonata are sluggish at take-off? I am used to a four speed automatic (GM Hydramatic) so maybe it is a modern thing I just don't get yet.
Rear air shocks are kaput but strahgely enough it does the bucking bronco thing only once in a while. The rest of time it is pretty much normal riding except for some rear slouching. You can hear the compressor motor that is connected to air shocks when car is parked
If nothing else it will maintain or increase dividends as this seems to be the way to keep investors while the stock is still floundering
Gold prices above $1600 per oz if that holds and starts climbing ABX should start to purr again.
ABX action on stock was very interesting. This looks like bottom but could be wrong. I should mention I added at open
Ouch! Thanks Don! Surely not what he wants to hear but I am not really surprised as the symptoms are pretty severe. Thanks again for taking the time to research this for me.
Greetings!
My best friend hit some nasty bugs WIN32/Sirefef.R (also Trojan Win32/Sirefed A-H and A-B) that are shutting down his computer before MSE can clean them. I suggested system restore but he is unable to access that program.
I downloaded ESET on a USB key for him but I doubt that will work.
Please anybody with a solution that might be able to nip these bugs at boot up I would really REALLY appreciate your suggestions.
You peeps are always so awesome!

Death Cross (where 200MA crosses 50MA) which may foretell a market correction, upcoming new report on production and profitability, and world economic instability (read EU) may yet bring ABX lower.
o/s is one billion and fully diluted 1,001,000,000. Authorized is theoretically unlimited as stated in latest annual report.
Installed a VSO Downloader recently and after a couple of days I got an error message just before retiring for the night. The next day I got the (0xc0000006)error message and WERFAULT.exe message when trying to access Firefox or trying to use any program. I googled this on another home computer and found out Windows memory resources were overtaxed or I had a driver conflict. I did a System Restore and all is well and VSO Downloader is gone. When I did a clean up ACC found 500MB of junk in last 24 hours.
No more down loaders for me!!!
Power steering still fine so maybe Gunk is gold! Car runs like a top now, but the rear air shocks are pretty much shot. Still rides ok and mechanic says as long as you keep load light in car and don't hit pot hole at high speed you can still prolong the life of this baby. Looks like $500 plus to fix rear air shocks. car still safe and I feel that $500 could go towards a way better critical repair to get me to 2013.
Call me crazy!

This is an interesting video from March 23, 2012 on ABX that recommended it right before downward fall. If everything said in video holds true this is indeed a screaming BUY
Even though my mechanic does not believe in PS Gunk sealant, I figured what the heck for $4 if it saves me $1500 --- and 10 days later it seems fine! I have used Bar's Leak which saved me $800 on an engine gasket. That was over a year ago so may be time for that treatment to be repeated ... Thanks again!
oops sorry wrong board
Yes, support held and maybe uptrend now possible .. Monday will be interesting
Could go lower but seems to have climbed back over previous 52 week low and staying there for now. Whatever happens when gold goes back to $2000 this should hit $45-50 easily. Eric Sprott says $2k oz before 2013.
No matter how low this goes long term it wil be a great buy imo
thanks jc will check it out!
