AURC is definitely an amazing play right now... Their sister company, NDOL, is expected to release some major news tomorrow.
I got something about this company in the mail. I laughed cause no idiot would buy a stock off of an advertisement in the mail.
For the hell of it, I looked it up and ended up being very impressed. Bought in this morning at $2.86. Let's hope I'm not an idiot.
not sure why 3 of my posts were deleted. I've never tried to do this company anything but good.
I think I'll stop posting here, cause that was kind of messed up.
Only a few of these are recent. I think the 3rd one down probably wanted to cash out after the stock went up 100% or whatever it was at then, and the other two recent ones put up a failsafe in case they need to bail out before the thing became ridiculously volatile.
Even I bailed out two days before the would-be buyout price was announced. I had absolute full confidence in the company, I just knew that after making a 500% profit, even a very very small chance it could crash was enough to pull out.
It was a balance of risk vs reward and the reward was already so high that the risk had to be near zero to go on.
I don't think they sold though, did they? Wasn't this just a notice? We've seen massive buy orders more than we've seen massive sell orders.
no, just simply-- no.
read posts made on/around that date then come back with any questions you still have.
in reference to the cheap gold properties that you were talking about--
I believe they turned down the bill that would release all the cheap mining properties in the U.S..
I guess some still went out though, (See ILST). I think they are formed off of some Joe just going out and saying he's going to make gold.
Nobody has any more information than we have. To think that the experts have more info than we have is making a poor assumption. "Experts" statistically have worse luck, on average, than you would get randomly picking stocks from the leading indices.
I would say that some of us have delved deeper into the DD of this company than any financial institution has. It wasn't until I hit the bottom of what I thought was the available DD out there before I realized how this company works, and how we are undervalued.
Most people get the inkling that it's undervalued, have numbers to show it, but it's not until you understand how the reverse mergers work that you can actually be confident. That takes a LOT of DD to get there.
And yes, once you know who turned the buyout deal down, it makes absolutely perfect sense why they did.
It's like this...
Say you are a Cuban citizen who owns a rare car. You know that you can get $4000 for the car in Cuba, but that there are also collectors in the United States who will pay you $200,000 or more for it.
The only way you can sell the car in the United States, and maximize your profit is if you get help from a U.S. citizen to do so.
You cut a deal with him and say that you'll pay him 10% of whatever the buyer will offer if he helps you sell your car.
Now, shortly after you get your car listed in the United States, somebody offers you $50,000 for the car. Your "broker" is enthralled at the prospect of making $5,000 out of nowhere.
You, however, turn it down because you know what your car is worth in that market, and it doesn't make any bit of difference to you whether or not the guy helping you sell it has just made a ton of money or not, because to you-- you know how much it is worth and you're not going to sell for any less.
Cuban= Majority shareholder of NDOL (Owner of Oil before reverse merger with BTSI)
US Broker= You and me, (Remainder of NDOL Shareholders)
Guy offering $40,000= NWOG
I agree with you.
But it isn't a $20 -$30 stock because of the excessive Russian taxes on oil. These taxes have been figured into the valuations of the company at $2.20 per barrel already. A lot of people think that the Russian law will change soon though, making this in fact a $20 stock.
NWOG got their licenses from the government, to begin with. They ARE producing, and they have acquired almost half a dozen other companies in the past year and a half.
You are right about nothing to worry about with NDOL's legitimacy, if you do enough DD you realize how this operation works, and you realize that all it is, is a complicated foreign reverse merger.
These reverse mergers are amazing for us, because the companies in Russia are basically giving away parts of their companies VERY cheaply, and in turn are getting listed on public markets VERY cheaply.
Monimpex has 2 other projects upcoming, a Bulgarian Brewery, and another Russian Oil company. The very SECOND I find out the new companies symbols, I'm going in heavy. But it would be nice to know what their shell company is ahead of time.
Euddoggwyn, once upon a time (early April) over on the RB board, there was a lot of quality DD done-- unfortunately a lot of mindless people came in and made it difficult to navigate. The burying of good DD is one of the reasons why I scaled my position back for now, and am planning on adding big time in the near future.
I have exactly 2000 shares. That's more because I have nostalgia for this stock than anything else.
I think it has a very promising future, but I also think AURC is tied close enough to it to buy many, many times more of it than NDOL. AURC is also more stable with more room to grow.
I used to own a (still relatively small) position of 10,000 in NDOL, but scaled back.
they're saying that the experts are discounting for what they believe to be exageration. I would doubt that there is exageration, though, considering the numbers are audited now.
sorry, i just hit "reply" to make a new post. A bad habit I need to break.
mine went down about 40% this week, most of it not having anything to do with Nord.
hahha, no, I wasn't talking to you. Unfortunately the pronoun "you" in English can be 2nd person singular or third person plural.
It was more of a general comment, I'm of the lazy sort who just hit "reply" to make a new post. Sorry.
People don't rush out and dump their Aurus when NDOL drops, and they don't rush to break the bank when it shoots up either.
At least on no news they don't. There are a lot of level-headed investors here who are probably watching for the first indications of a run-up to further solidy.
I bought in a tad more (9k) this morning at $0.26 (Aurus).
If you got screwed after selling on emotion, then you're an idiot.
The truth is, nothing has changed since this morning. Nothing has changed since the last PR.
I can assure you that when Parkin says something is going to be good (financials)--they will be.
Before the 'buyout' offer was announced he told me that I wouldn't be worrying once they posted it. I didn't trade off that news because I figured it might be insiders info. Sure enough, when people were questioning if it was even going to make $0.70, he busted out with $2.17.
Granted, it didn't go through, but if he's saying that it didn't go through for the better, I can assure you he means it.
I put an order in for a very small position (27k).
a bit confused, but thanks. I'll put an order in.
I just started looking at this stock.
Could somebody give me a no-BS answer as to why it took a hit off of the news today?
Thanks.
BTW-- I'm in AURC if you're looking for this kind of thing.
I sincerely hope you don't send that
you guys are proposterous... it's one thing to worry about your pps dropping from bad news, but it's another thing altogether when there is absolutely no news.
Now, you might argue "no news is bad news" only because most NDOLers here are antsy. It really is just market emotion. Leave Parkin alone, he has no control over what the Russian Audit company is doing.
He's a very nice and generous guy if you talk to him and I would rather keep it that way. If you're so confident in Nord, just by more... geez.
I think Monday will be good since that's when we can (reasonably) expect Nord's files to be submitted. Also, the smart gold buyers know that it's best to buy on drops.
I plan on adding a measely 10k if it does manage to do a break for the worse. I wouldn't count on it though.
I wonder if they're talking about Arequipa, Peru. Nice town.
Are you guys serious? The Rosneft IPO could be one of the HUGEST things for this company.
Once upon a time, NWOG and Rosneft went hand in hand. For those who understand Russian oil better than us, I'm sure they have their eyes trained very closely on what NWOG is doing.
In response to the guy who said something about them knowing of the merger all along---
It HAS been almost 2 weeks since the merger was announced. Also don't forget Parkin's actual position in the company.
That would be a nice pic for the board (maybe scaled down a bit with a box for the translation).
I guess it might be hard to come up with an English spelling for some of these Russian names.
OT- I don't think they plan on releasing the 8k tomorrow if they're just getting the financials tonight. I would sure as hell hope they don't post the 8k tomorrow, because it would probably looks like grammatical garbage.
Somebody else was wondering why we haven't heard from the president of NWOG yet... has anybody ever considered that this guy doesn't speak English? I guess they could translate, but I'm wondering if Makarov even knows English. He might speak Russian with the Russians, and French with Parkin. Parkin might be the only one who does know English (albeit as a second language).
I was told this stock was a no-brainer when it was cruising up in the teens, before the buyout was announced.
If you guys want to raise the PPS, try paying the ASK. You're not doing any good by paying the BID.
we're a lot more cool-headed here. Nobody is saying the moronic things you hear over at the NDOL boards... I HOPE we break away from them.
My AURC to NDOL share ratio is 7:1, and I may up NDOL once they stop being childish, but until then, I wouldn't be upset if by next week the two companies met halfway at $0.45.
to whoever is wondering about RSM, the auditing company, I wouldn't worry.
Finish doing your DD before posting stuff like that.
We've called RSM before, for Aurus and they were very helpful and gave us confirmation on all of AURC's claims.
I don't think the 8k is going to shoot you guys through the roof (me too but I only have a small holding here), I think the bigger catalyst will be the Rosneft IPO.
Rosneft and NWOG are said to be of almost identical origins/promise.
hopefully it isn't from all of the Nord/NWOG traders syphoning over to Aurus.
From what I understand of the subsoil law, it really doesn't mean anything for us at this point.
I read it as saying "if you want to partner with or participate in North American financial markets, you must do so with a Joint Venture"
To me, that is why the company is called Aurus and why it took over a golf company's shell, instead of being called Zabaikalgeoprom and going directly to market.
So in other words, it seems to me that it doesn't say anything important to us.
I'm still expecting a HUGE Joint Venture with a company that has more production means than us though. But then again, I think we actually do have up-to-date production facilities with Kylon.
yeah I kind of responded to that without putting too much thought into it.
Anyway, anybody here talk to the MAN today? I don't encourage it, but if somebody already has, then share with all.
I think if we all pay the ASK, we'll all end up making more money from the upward momentum than we'd save from the 1 cent difference in cost...
Anybody speak with GP lately? I don't encourage calling/emailing the poor guy all the time, but if somebody's already done it, share will all.
their oil is worth $14 billion, but the $1.25 billion is what they will get as a profit after drilling, refining, paying taxes.
I would question whether or not they turned a profit this year because of all their acquisitions they did.
I'm sure they have a profit from core operations though, probably a big one too.
correct me if I'm wrong but didn't they say by the close of business day today?
I'm confused as to why people think this is late.
could somebody please delete that post.
wow...
Honestly, I'd rather take a dramatic hit in gold down to around $600 than stay around $700 or higher.
A lot of people aren't getting into gold at $700 because they anticipate a drastic correction. If it were at $600, it would still be way higher than it was a few months ago, higher than most of the valuations of Aurus were done at, and it would be a lot more stable.
If you guys really are holding with strong hands, why are you sitting here watching the ticker the whole day?
I haven't looked at it once, aside from the delayed one on this board... there really isn't any reason to do so.
no offense to the few who do, but most of you seem to have no clue how this company even works/is structured.
I hear people saying that it was Parkin's decision to turn down the buyout, I hear people worrying about restricted stock from NWOG, and other people saying that it should be worth $30 pps.
Parkin was not the one to turn down the offer and NWOG is owned now by very few people relatively speaking (it's kind of a family company) who have no incentive to sell their restricted shares, and although this may be worth $2+, it sure as hell isn't worth $30.
I rode this thing from $0.137 to $1.23, but got out because I realized that there were a lot of underinformed "investors" here banking on a buyout.
I bought back yesterday because it seems to me this has settled where it should settle until more news comes.
It would mean A LOT if this ended green today. That would be a great indicator to those who were afraid to enter until the resentment from the NDOL buyout-turned-merger wore off.
It'll show up as a sell if it does go through, apparently.
PAY THE ASK!!!
