IOVE An Unfortunate Natural Disaster Presents a Necessary Opportunity to The Italian Oven
EL RAMA, NICARAGUA--(Marketwire - August 17, 2009) - The Italian Oven Inc. (PINKSHEETS: IOVE) today released information pursuant to Securities and Exchange Commission Regulation F.D. about its new subsidiary Richwood Eco Ventures, Inc.
Hurricane Felix devastated the coastlines of Nicaragua in late 2007 and destroyed over three-million acres of virgin rainforest, knocking over millions of trees. Initially, many companies and foreign governments vowed to come to the rescue. Time passed, but most did not step up to the plate.
The exception is a group of companies that already had a foothold in Nicaraguan timber and forest management including Rich Corporación (created with support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark's DANIDA program), and TECA de Nicaragua (TEKNISA).
Rich Corporación realized that the downtrodden trees needed to be harvested for wood and the land replanted. Rich Corporación began projects to raise funds for local communities by harvesting the damaged trees and commercializing the wood. The projects included a partnership with Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Technische Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GTZ) of Germany to assist indigenous communities in the Tasabi Pri territory. Rainforest Alliance's Smartwood certification program will be utilized and full accountability implemented in accordance with Nicaraguan and international law.
The companies maintain a factory and showroom, two production warehouses, three storage warehouses, and a saw mill spanning twelve acres of property. Over 55 people are employed full time by the operation.
Nevertheless, millions of acres of damaged land remain uncorrected. To expand, Rich Corporación turned to Italian Oven International for assistance. With IOVE's marketing and logistical expertise in both Europe and North America, it agreed to join with Rich Corporación to establish additional exports. Hundreds of thousands of cubic meters of woods, such as mahogany, cedars, coralillo, pine, almond, Guapinol, nancitón, and coyote, are available. Examples of the wood can be seen at www.richwood.com.ni.
The Italian Oven and its subsidiaries formed Richwood Eco Ventures, Inc., and purchased capital stock in the Nicaraguan companies to establish a partnership protocol. As the majority of the Richwood timber is exported, REVI will directly market the wood throughout the world. The Italian Oven entities will own over 80% of REVI.
Additional information about this venture will be available on the Italian Oven's website at www.theitalianoveninc.com/richwood.html over the next two weeks.

Could be a possibility, will be watching close to see how this turns out.
That's not nice. But let's move forward. How do we get this company to move, are there issues that need resolved is that what the holdup is?
Nice news though, looks like the oven is cooking up some serious stuff.
Anybody do a websearch for these companies Rich Corporation and TEKNISA.
Looking for some volume here tomorrow, maybe.
Let's do the math: 10,000,000 float shares and $.014, that's $140,000 and I run the show. Someone got about $200,000 to loan me at 15% apr? Dang. Might buy some more Monday.
Trying to get a few around 10c on Monday. Think she could do some climbing. Not betting the house on it, but maybe my kids' bicycles and their Playstation.
It'll have to be raised, fair enough if the split doesn't accompany massive dilution.
I'm not real worried about 18 million shares. I'm more interested in the future since I got about 400,000 shares for $1200. What's happening in the future here?
What umm should we exactly receive. We certainly should receive something.
Wow. The shares should have been up to $1? 90,000,000 means SNV was worth $90,000,000 for a webcam?
Geesh.
But how many shares do these guys got, I understand it was over 1000 shareholders. So 50 million shares divided by 1000 means their shares average 50,000. At current trading levels, they'd have to pay for the new cert., possibly get an attorney opinion letter, and otherwise deposit the cert. another $20 for ETrade or whomever. So $40 just to start.
I think most of these certs are in people's closets, no?
Ok so we get 6 shares for 1. So the float will become 1.2 billion. I am not sure this needed to split, but if we can maintain a good price, could be another soft-foamy-soapy-poppy stock situation. That I would like.
Thank you for your efforts today. Hope to hear something this week from the company.
Very interested in this Richwood deal as it's in Nicaragua. My favorite stock is also in Nicaragua (hence my name). Businesses seem to be developing there, could be the next Costa Rica. While the government administration makes some enemies with their talk, all the indicators are that there have been no disruption to capital enterprises there (or any taking of enterprises like Venezuela).
Boardmark here for an interesting company.
why do they say 1 for 5 instead of 5 for 1?
they had a good mentor.
but it'd be residuals so money keeps flowing, if accurate.
you bought the plane stock, not a carryover from tsxt? interesting.
only 1 reason i bought this stock, because you had the confidence to buy it!
it is a good concept, i like it and it could have potential.
I bought one these sponges, i dunno what to say about it really. maybe the stock is better.
popped nice toward end of day, can we replicate it today?
whatz this company do? i see movements but cant find info.
half outstanding until september. it is gonna be sept in 15 days!
is this gonna pop one day or stay at 0001

No tourist crowds - just a dad teaching his son to bikeIf you've already done the "easy" central american destinations like Costa Rica and Belize and want to try something a little more adventuresome (and a little cheaper), you may be surprised how far Nicaragua's tourism infranstructure has come in a few short years.
Geologically, Nicaragua has similar terrain to its eco-tourism hotshot neighbor Costa Rica. It has stunning volcanos, gorgeous beaches and a rich jungle and cloud forest life. What it lacks is the early start that Costa Rica got in perserving these assets. But it also still lacks the crowds and being a traveller there, feels authentic in a way some other central american destinations do not.
Our travels were centered around the colonial town of Granada which is a short taxi ride (get a fixed price at the airport) from the international airport (get a fixed price at the airport) and where the majority of the tourism infrastructure is based. There are all kinds of lodging catering to all tastes and budgets. What we did was make a reservation over the Web for our first night at La Siesta a friendly "backpacker" hostal catering to a youngish crowd working on their spanish - a steal at $25 a night. We moved to a new, very small hotel around the corner which still had no website and for $40 we got a little more privacy and a/c. We found that the majority of the smaller, more intimate small hotels, hostals or hospideja's did not yet have websites of their own - and finding the perfect place when you get there is part of the adventure.
Although we have travelled in Costa Rica and Guatamala, we still wanted to get our Volcano fix. Granada has several competing tour offices which provide excursions to the Volcanos closest to Granada including Mombacha and Mayasa. We took a tour to Volcan Mayasa at sunset which included a tour of bat caves. This is an excusion that must be done with a tour, still I was a little concerned with the number of people visiting the caves and its potential impact on the bats and that there seemed to be too many tours. Unlike Costa Rica, Nicaragua hasn't completely figured out how to manage its newly popular natural attractions but they seem to know where they need to head.
Another day we skipped the full package tour and got ourselves to the bottom of the dormant volcano Mombacho, a national park since 1983. We walked about a mile to the park entrance where you can get a ride to the top in an open air truck/bus - ours was filled with schoolkids. It was misty and cool at the top where there is a nice, low key visitor center and cafe and where you can hike around the verdant caldera. Make sure you bring a jacket, the temperature was quite cool!
Volcanos are just one of the reasons why an eco-minded tourist should consider Nicaragua. I'll elaborate more on a place close to Granada that is truely special and not rivaled in nearby countries I have visited in my next post.
On a final note, Nicaragua's tourism must be doing something right because even in the recession, their tourism is growing. In Nicaragua, eco-tourism and budget travel go hand in hand.

a/s is 500,000,000 since 2007 hasnt changed. o/s was about 280mm but dont know if it changed.
the truth is that a stock like this actually has more of a potential to do that since there isn't going to be dilution apparently for a but.
now you some flippers .0003 to .0004 and some weak hands buying at .0004 then getting bored and giving them back to the flippers at .0003 but it can break out.
promoters often try to put weird orders in to make it look like a socalled signal. the truth is the pinksheets system allows the mms to actually send short msgs to each other.
looking strong here on heavy volume, no major selloff or profit taking.
This will be the stock of 2009 for me if I have to cold call every weenie on the list.
Never buy pizza stock unless you have first tasted the pizza.
When will the casino be opening?
