Dr Stupp is speaking just before Dr Ashkan, on oncology trial design. Good lead in to the DCVax L phase 3 trial and results.
TDD,
Stand your ground and I agree with you!
The game with the sp is sickening and so obvious, and getting off this exchange can’t come soon enough.
The whole obstacle course nwbo has had to encounter is unbelievable in that it is allowed to happen day after day with no real consequences to those profiteering with impunity!
Been adding most days except today since I’m beyond my limit and couldn’t add enough to make big difference unless price drops significantly.
I have enough to be very happy when the upward move comes!
Dr Stupp is presenting on trial design just before Dr Ashkan presents the phase 3 trial and results, at a conference around the end of the month. The conference program was posted overnight (link to program.)
Dr Stupp consulting to nwbo and his support regarding external placebo are positives for DCVax imo.
The future, Conan!
The potential gets better and better!
Dr Stupp is also at this conference as invited and also presenting Tips on structuring successful trials for brain tumors (my memory of topic not verbatim title), and Dr Ashkan presents the phase3 trial and results next after Dr Stupp!
Well, with 2.5M shares at approximately 0.66 that’s about $1.3M of trading for the day. Then if there’s shenanigans, oops I mean coordinated selling-buying, it doesn’t take a lot of capital and the total $$ is so small that “who’s gonna care?”
Not gone, misspelling of Twitter id
And I thought it was only a bar in the Three’s Company TV show
Great thanks! Here’s another excerpt from Mr Li that I found particularly interesting:
And then from a size of deal, it's less about the dollar size, it's more about is it an area of interesting science? Do we see an asset or assets that we think bring something unique that when we combine it with our capability and aim at unmet need that there is something that we can drive sustainable long-term growth for the business. And if we see that and it aligns with the strategy and we think there is value creation, we are going to go for it and be appropriately aggressive in doing so, and leverage the balance sheet to do it as needed.
Between my wife and daughter/son in law they’ll have the grandchild naming priority way over me.
In fact I’m not sure if our parrot comes next before me in the pecking order, especially if nwbo hasn’t still appreciated.
(I actually do know the parrot has priority)
If nwbo should somehow tank further they’ll be calling me Crash, as in go find a new place to crash, Mr Stockcrash!
No offense meant to you, Crash.
However I’m betting the barn (that bearish scenario doesn’t happen) this investment will be my highest ROI.
In fact, if this derisked investment doesn’t work out I think I’ll finally just go all S&P500 because all the logic and due diligence will have been for naught and no point to keep at it.
Yes, you point out another potential catalyst for getting the stock price above a few bucks to open the gates for institutional/funds, which is a plausible development!
I’m not expecting to have any more kids, but maybe a pet to name after Crash
Btw, been mostly away from the board today and wondering what is being attributed to for today’s drop, however I added again today throwing caution to the wind with daily buys.
Unfortunately these days, no!
Maybe, however there have been many times when I have thought of how that Edward G. Robinson character in the epic Bible movie would rile the masses up in between the miraculous accomplishments that Moses was delivering.
I mean, Moses gets the masses freed and all, and even after parting the Red Sea for them to walk across away from the oncoming army of Pharoe, whom subsequently have the sea rejoin on them, and still Edward G. Is able to rile the masses up again while Moses is talking with God (ok, listening) and receiving the tablets of the Ten Commandments, only to come back and find debacherie and worshipping of golden faux Gods that Eddy G was able to foment during the extended wait.
Every time I watch that movie I have the same reaction, geez yee of little faith that have witnessed miracle after miracle and still are easily made to doubt in between and no matter how awesome each progressively has been!
I relate some of the drama that the fudsters rile up, after every significant step of nwbo’s quest to the promised land, in much the same way, and I admit I’ve been one of the riled up on more than a few occasions!
(It would be freaky if the next time we see LP she will appear with the frosted gray hair like Charleston Heston )
Peace and love, and GLTA
I think there is a lot of over worrying going on unnecessarily.
Nwbo didn’t get this far, identifying and cutting a deal with FlaskWorks and founders, knowing it would be the lever to address scaling and economies of scale, and not have the adequate (or better) production and cost targets.
Likewise they have their manual to closed automated process transition plan predefined.
That’s just how it’s done, not some haphazard random walk.
You gotta give LP and company more credit, after all, the more we learn the more we realize the diligence and perseverance with which each challenge has been addressed!
Sure, I’ll have some fun while we wait and try to deal with the anticipation and frustration of the waiting, however instead of backseat driving and worrying every stop, turn, and traffic, I’m choosing to relax and leave the driving to LP trusting she got her map to get us to the destination.
Gentlemen get back to your corners
At the risk of being tagged by a right hook meant for each other, I will try in my feeble and somewhat ignorant way to state my belief of the nwbo advent relationship.
1. Nwbo owns the hard assets in Sawston and pays the lease that resulted from the sale-leaseback of the land/space
2. Advent is paid by nwbo to install, document, operate the facility and manufacture GMPC product (DCVax) on behalf of nwbo
3. In addition to nwbo/DCVax product Advent can utilize available space to enter contracts to do GMPC work/product for other entities. I would expect nwbo to receive some benefit from such non nwbo work commensurate with the space utilized and any other facility resources if paid for by nwbo
4. I do not know what the actual contractual terms and conditions are, hence why I stated as my beliefs rather than facts. Are such terms too favorable to Advent/Toucan at nwbo
Ding… Round 7 if you fighters still want to duke it out
Poor Man, thou art not poor in knowledge nor culture, and abundant in wit, amply displayed by your reference to crossing the rubicon! Touché
(a little French is always good, except maybe not Napoleon - are short jokes politically incorrect? Actually more of a Napoleon complex joke anyway)
Friends, shareholders, and investors, lend me your ears
I come not to bury LP but to praise her….
Yet AF says she is ambitious;
And, sure, he is an “honourable” man.
I speak not to disprove what AF spoke,
But here I am to speak what I do know.
You all did believe in her once, not without cause:
What cause withholds you then, to trust in her?
O judgment! thou art fled to brutish beasts,
And men have lost their reason. Bear with me;
My heart is in the challenge there with LP,
And I must pause till it come back to me.
A little too much Roman perhaps
Poor Man, ain’t turning on you homey!
I’m sorry you felt painted by my broad brush, however I’m not referring to your expectations that management needs to bring some more goods to the ASM. I will be disappointed also if we haven’t seen additional catalysts and accomplishments by the ASM. I also welcome friendly JV and/or BO.
I meant those who have been flinging FUD and trying to undermine LP at every opportunity and especially now that the trial results have been released and successful.
Fewer targets left to FUD, and propaganda campaigns against the oppositions head leadership is always a tactic and more so now that the Journal article, interim revenues, and approvals, are in sight.
Beware those who propose shareholder revolt and change of management prior to a voluntary succession or transfer of leadership or control.
Such management unfriendly disruption is very disruptive and would further delay progress and/or snatch defeat from the jaws of victory!
OMG! My father in law’s name is Ralph, and come to think of it I’ve never seen him and Paul together at the same time!
OMG my FIL might be Paul and he puts on the Italian accent to throw me off!!!
But seriously now, your logic re a partnership with a subsequent BO is very plausible and would be an acceptable scenario from my perspective of needing some stock price appreciation up front from the partnership news to raise some cash, giving the flexibility to hold hopefully the majority of shares for the buyout.
Ideally, if the BO is all stock from a BP like Merck, I’d likely take the BP shares and have a whopping dividend stream to pay the bills, have financial freedom, and continue to donate to good causes.
In short, that would be living the dream, but not the billionaire wealthy dream some other nwbo investors might achieve, and that’s more than ok. My guilty conscience will only allow me a modicum of decadence anyway
Call me a wild eyed optimist but this feels like the best shot ever that I’ve encountered at such a game changing return on investment especially at this point of trial results and all those wacky ducks positioning themselves in a row.
Quack quack!!!
Hopefully LP will continue non dilutive financing if financing is needed.
When she purchased the land at Sawston and established the Aricaris subsidiary, I wondered if this was a step towards moving headquarters to UK/Ireland for tax advantages in addition to a good decision to be a good UK corporate citizen to aid operations and approvals?
Not to mention that LP’s prescient purchase of Sawston and steps to make Sawston a biotech hub with growing number of good high tech jobs, improves the local and national stature and economies.
Aren’t there tax advantages to being headquartered in the UK, or do they only accrue to those headquartered in Ireland?
That is all very true, and she could have a bunch of troops to do the important tedious work while she would focus on the strategic big picture stuff.
She may, as was my case, enjoy the early creation phases of things, like when I would focus on the customer and mission requirements for a large system and translate those into system and subsystems that would collectively satisfy the requirements including performance and other factors.
While carrying out all the phases of a system design and implementation is interesting and important, the creation of structure, form and function especially from Carte Blanche was the most enjoyable to me.
LP getting the DCVax platform and game plan established and navigating this through trials, manufacturing, and approvals, as a tiny pre revenue company under unrelenting deep pocketed attacks, and about to successfully change GBM treatments and application to many other solid tumor and INOPERABLE tumors, has got to be satisfying.
LP may not be as much of a slacker as me at this point, however having been retired 3-4 years and enough retirement income to be comfortable.
As much as I miss the people and action, I’m reminded that there were deadlines and stresses and increasingly intolerable political BS and policy changes that could change if an elephant got out of the wrong side of the bed in the morning.
Add vacations with the family and the work cell phone to stay available for critical stuff, and you have to think why if you don’t need to financially and you’re still young enough to walk and climb and travel, etc., which is subject to change each passing year?
LP would be at or near the top position but would she be using her precious time in her best manner, especially being very wealthy, and likely a billionaire several times over from her equity in nwbo once the sp rises? Why?
LP could assemble a meaningful retirement or semi retirement by stepping up foundation/philanthropical effort and participating in one or more corporate boards!
Besides, she would have Gone big AND Gone Home! (And did it her way….)
PM, my friend and I were right in the midst of all that Paul is dead stuff. I mean we followed and explored every clue and were wondering if the Beatles came up with the greatest advance planned marketing or joke gimmick spanning albums and years.
We played the tracks backwards and heard what was rumored.
Paul is dead, miss him, miss him
I buried Paul…
Could be misremembering but I think one track played backwards sounded like red rum, which is murder backwards, etc.
Abby Road album cover with the wearing of supposedly traditional funeral white and barefooted Paul, and supposedly the license plate of the car in the cover photo if dialed called a related site (we didn’t try that one - too expensive to call UK.
The walrus is Paul….
Paul was supposedly the subject of the lyrics: I read the news today oh boy,
About a lucky man who made the grade,
He blew his mind out in a car,
He hadn’t noticed that the lights had changed….
Also since Paul had supposedly died, the Beatles replaced him with a look alike, but his eyes weren’t exactly alike, etc., etc.
There were radio shows that passed on and reviewed the so-called clues.
We passed away a good amount of time and effort and it was fun. Go figure!
New idea: Park Benches of the Rich and Famous
Champagne wishes and ramen dreams!
I hope this non nwbo banter isn’t too objectionable, however it helps me have some fun and stay in a good mood in between real nwbo breadcrumbs and the longish periods between important milestones.
Warren absolutely loves what he does and I think he’d suffer if for some unthinkable reason he had to stop, imo.
I think LP is super smart and capable (I know others feel differently) however I don’t get the vibe that she wants to run nwbo for the rest of her life, and who would blame her.
Besides, she’s got other projects and could do multiple board memberships to stay active if so desired.
Nwbo/DCVax has been a personal objective as directly affecting cancer treatment and cancer patients, empassioned by losing her dad to the disease. I felt the same with my mom but unlike LP I realized I didn’t have the smarts, resources, relevant experiences, and connections that LP possessed.
We can all thank God that LP chose to direct her energies to improving the plight of patients with cancer, which is potentially much of humanity!
Clever transposition!
AF’s polysci degree would still be about as relevant
That’s wisdom that we should all take to heart!
Thank you Foxhound02 for providing analytical and empirical support for Ringo’s skills and uniqueness that he brought to the vast Beatles catalog of songs, which was the musical accompaniment and pioneering guide to our generation’s lives!
Ringo’s character and likable personality enduringly endears as well:
Hi, my name is Ringo, ahut, yea
I want to look and move as good as he does now when I’m his age. He must be doing something right. Of course hundreds of millions (maybe a billion?) might help promote his relative youthfulness, but if that were the case then Bill Gates should still be a peach skinned baby face
Peace and love, peace and love !
We’re going to have to agree to disagree on this one.
Ringo’s drumming on all the varied Beatles songs suited them perfectly, and the drums is the key to a band, and I’m not a drummer.
Sure, no 10 minute drum solos, or splashy stuff, however you have to acknowledge the Beatles long success and taking us on a musical magical mystery tour de force, and Ringo drumming all along the way.
Pawning the clubs sounds good because if the non-violence training takes, you can get the clubs back.
However if the nwbo stock price doesn’t go up, or especially if it goes down, you might not want to chance having the clubs around!
In any event I’d keep the protective gear nearby
As for food supply concerns, there’s probably enough critters that a couple of well placed gravity traps and cordage loops should provide some good protein to roast over the fire pit.
There’s also a decent chance of finding a snake to skin and cook in a pinch.
It all tastes like chicken!
I should still have the one Blind Faith album they released, as well as the Beatles double white and other Beatles, Hendrix, Janus Joplin (Big Brother & the Holding Company,) Mike Bloomfield, Santana, of course Cream, and others. All vinyl LPs and some choice 45s, and don’t have a system to play them on since the high quality component stereo system was built in at my parents house and I didn’t try to extract the system.
My aunt actually gave me my first little mono record player along with the Beatles Rubber Soul album when I was a kid, and I wish I didn’t part ways with that album!
Ah, nostalgia!
You never know who might show up. I hear Duane the Rock Johnson and Elton John live somewhere in the area north of Atlanta, and a bunch of others. So the second park bench could be the surprise celebrity guest bench
Planning on having a baby grand piano off the great room and bar for those occasional get togethers, and in case Sir Elton shows up!
Then again there’s going to be a gazebo in the backyard and covered patio that might prove a useful alternative to the park bench, especially for when it drizzles.
I will warn you that it’s a golf course lot and the golf cart path passes where my back gate will be, so an angry spouse with a 9 iron can possibly make a stealthy approach, so face mask and helmet is recommended at all times
Horrible beyond words!
However, this tragedy played a part in prompting Clapton to get clean from drug addiction to be a man his son would want him to be.
I knew you’d thread that needle !
By the way, I’m going to include a park bench or two in the backyard in Georgia.
The Cream days is when I first heard Clapton and Cream was so great. Of course I got into Blind Faith immediately when it was formed and played that one album repeatedly. And he kept on evolving like in Derek and the Dominos and Layla !
Who could keep a dry eye when his son tragically died, and Clapton performed Tears in Heaven unplugged (I’m emotional right now just writing this.)
Slow hand brought it back to the foundation of the blues, however he was a bluesman from the get-go and through out his continuing incredible career!
Did I mention I’m a Clapton fan?
Excellent seat prices!
Regarding Clapton in Copenhagen, I got to renew my passport and will be making trips back and forth to Georgia USA, but I would have loved to see Clapton again and Copenhagen for the first time!
With severe Covid hopefully behind us and the real start of our retirement travel ahead of us, Copenhagen in 2024 is a real possibility!
