I’ll take the risk reward with nwbo any day over the risk of taking the subway to the Bronx, and then parading about on the streets in crisp white shirted Wall Street attire, and that’s assuming you make it out of the subway ok!

Now I haven’t been in the Bronx in 15-20 years, and we used to be a member of the Bronx zoo and go to the Botanical Gardens, and there were some very nice neighborhoods that I visited friends in, but I don’t believe the BS statistics that NYC is safer now than 20 years ago.

There were never assaults in Dyker Heights (unless you made the terrible mistake of mouthing off to the wrong guys) and relatively few in Bay Ridge, both adjoining neighborhoods in Brooklyn, and lately you hear on the news that there are occasional daytime assaults and even rapes! Our friends and relatives recently stopped taking the subway home from their jobs in Manhattan if they stayed late at work, opting for car service instead.

Sorry for the long tangential turn but your Bronx mention triggered something in me, like the old Abbot and Costello show (or was it the Three Stooges) routine: Niagara Falls!!! Slowly I turn, step by step….
