One guess is that there are a lot of politicians getting their palms greased in one way or another, who are beholding, and “enforcement types” who might not be eager to possibly “hurt” their careers and make big trouble for the “golden geese.”
What, you have a hard time believing that money and influence talks? (Thickly sarcastic comment in case you couldn’t tell)
Too much conspiracy theory garbage put out there, and everyone is getting brainwashed to not believe anything, imo.
GC is a straight shooter and shared his personal decision with us, that’s all.
GC is a solid member of this board and has his reasons for his decision, and all the right in the world to act on it. He kept what nwbo he felt he could in order to not miss out completely if approval and other good things happen in the meantime.
I’ve been in the same situation with other stock’s multiple times.
Imo, no bad or false intent, just competing needs and investments.
GLTA!!!
M-A-N-I-P-U-L-A-T-I-O-N !!! Imo
I’m kidding and hopefully breaking the tension of our ongoing waiting, after all I follow the philosophy I learned a long time ago, yes even much longer ago than my involvement with nwbo, from the great F-Troop television show,
“Heckawwee lovers, not fighters” and
“We’re the Heckawwee(?)”
If you blew up over Gary’s simple statement about either receiving approval by a certain date or not, you can really go to town on my trivial statement:
The sun will come up, tomorrow!!!
(Another day closer and news at anytime)
Go ahead, trash me….
The volume looks incredibly low and seems like it is staying still for minutes at a time, or maybe it just feels like minutes!
What’s the data showing? Could MM be sitting on trades?
Thanks ILT!
My primary physician put me on a statin and Farxiga to improve the cholesterol and blood sugar, and I’m supposed to step up the exercise.
I quickly lost 25 pounds and reduced waist size down to about a 36-37 from at least 40, but I haven’t done a good job maintaining more exercise. I get more exercise when I’m visiting in Georgia and less in NJ, but I plan on being more consistent when I’m living in Georgia.
I had brought up GLP1 medication because my physician SIL suggested that, however my primary believes and wants me to try the Farxiga first, and moving on to Ozempic type med if I don’t get my numbers down enough.
The weight loss has improved my blood pressure and reduced my snoring/sleep apnea so far!
The other change I’m noticing is that I thought I had been experiencing occasional relapse of planter fasciitis but the weight loss seems to have eliminated this issue!
Hey, I want to be healthier and be able to better and longer enjoy the freedom we hopefully get from our nwbo investment !!!
That’s the spirit! I like the success oriented thinking, like limo service and first class if not chartered flying!
I’m also counting on self driving and robo transportation services to become established before I get too old or impaired to drive, especially since where I’m moving to nothing is walkable and there’s no public transportation either.
I am equipping the garages in the new house for an electric golf cart and an EV, but for now I’m driving my ICE vehicle which still has only 70k miles on an engine that should be good for 250k miles or more
I’m also equipping a Generac to provide power if the grid should go down, and I would like to add solar panels in the back yard but I don’t think the HOA and the golf course would let me. We’ll see how that goes after a couple years that I’m living there.
Another day closer to approval and other good news!!!
I used to drink one glass of red wine with dinner and had replaced that with nonalcoholic low calorie beer. Then my last lab results were shockingly different (bad) and I’m drinking water, coffee, and green and herbal teas and as little sugar as possible and very low carbs in general.
Lost weight and feeling healthier but not exercising enough yet. Hopefully the numbers are improving!
I don’t get it. I was raised eating pasta often and three well balanced meals a day, and was a good, even a little low, weight until I started traveling for work a lot, but still only gained 20 pounds for a long time eating pretty much everything.
Maybe it’s age and a much less physically demanding lifestyle since retirement and especially the pandemic, that contributed to some kind of metabolic syndrome it seems.
But things could be a lot worse and giving up bread, pasta, pizza, and desserts, and wine and beer, is not too big a sacrifice for improving one’s health, isn’t it?
Can’t come too soon enough for me!
And hopefully as soon as possible for cancer patients, especially those with GBM, and their families.
Thanks for reminding me to put the magnum of champagne back into the chiller! I had needed the space for something else.
I’m not supposed to drink anything sweet and alcoholic anymore but I’ll take a couple of sips to celebrate on approval!!!
I expected nothing less from a notorious negative narrative nefario !
I got tired of Ss
Thanks for your reply!
Kinda over my head or I’m being too lazy to think it through, however you seem to be comfortable with the Reg SHO mechanics, indicating what I suspected all along, that you play the dummy throwing out a bunch of unsubstantiated narratives but actually are more sophisticated and deliberate.
Too bad you don’t apply your skills for the good of retail….. yea I know you’re going to reply by saying that’s what you’re trying to do
Anyway, it’s a weekend closer to approval!
Looks to me like the good S words would apply to a teaming of nwbo and Revimmune:
Synergistic
Symbiotic
Statistically Significant
Strategic
Successful !!!
Would it be correct to assume nwbo shares in retirement accounts are not loanable and/or better protected?
Tell trump’s ex Fed CEO of DJT that, since he publically called out Cutadel and another MM for naked shorting and manipulation.
Coinkidink, I think not!!!
Thank you both for clearing things up for me.
My comment regarding LP removing connections to toucan was, as a certain fudster has painted me, being the class clown.
What I meant is that LP had named the entity in the UK Aracaris because I believe an aracaris is a young toucan bird, or something along those lines, possibly whimsically or otherwise.
My comment posited that LP was retiring the definitional connection to toucans, which I assume she likes the toucan birds or hold some personal preference or other reason for the naming choices.
With that out of the way, now I understand the scope of the change from Aracaris Ltd to Northwest Biotherapeutics Ltd, thank you.
Maybe LP is getting away from the Toucan connection since aricaris is a Toucan?
Named same players too!
Or just abruptly go black like the last scene of the Sopranos?
One day closer and any day now!
And it couldn’t be soon enough to watch the FUDsters eat crow and come up with their next no credibility narratives.
I think the most likely future is that nwbo partners and licenses, and that would be the most beneficial for everyone since more different cancers can be advanced in terms of treatments that way.
I think LG alluded to that on the big boozey show or whatever it’s called.
I’m pretty sure I remember LG saying nwbo is handling GBM and that other indications could be handled with others (like others.)
I guess I could go to the trouble of finding that program episode and listening to it again, but I probably won’t take that time.
Besides, there are longs here with much better memory who could clarify if it’s important to anyone.
I’m spending some time watching season 2 of Gravesend, because Bensonhurst/Gravesend is where I grew up and I like all the references to my old stomping grounds like L&B Spumoni Gardens, Sheapshead Bay, the walking/bicycle path along the belt parkway by the Verrazano, etc., etc. Very nostalgic.
I intend on taking 10-20% off the table when the share price gets to around $5 or hopefully more, for short term personal reasons that the cash would help with, but the rest will stay in nwbo shares for as long as the prospects remain positive.
I believe the sp could reach $30-$60 intermediate and keep growing over the long term.
Of course if a buyout happens by a strong BP, which I would greatly prefer as a stock deal, I’d hold the acquirer’s shares and presumably collect dividends and continued share price appreciation.
This would be poetic justice for all of us longs who started investing in and kept accumulating nwbo shares to this day!!!
This information only reinforces what I have stated.
That once nwbo shares increase in price and hopefully move off the OTC, I will not purchase any stock that is OTC listed again!!!
I will also continue my shift away from individual stocks to indexes.
Like they say, you only need to get wealthy once, then it’s more protection in the sense of not losing it.
With index funds like the SP500 you get performance that most active managers can’t beat and safety of not losing your investment over reasonable periods of time if the overall trend of asset returns continues as it has always done in the past over twenty year periods.
I’m ready and waiting for this semi retired approach to investment to be enabled by an outsized return from nwbo!!!
Of course the improvement in cancer treatment that comes with nwbo market value is a more important win for all of us and our loved ones!!!
It comforts me that we are on the same page regarding nwbo.
I’ve swung for the fences before and struck out, so I always regurgitate the logic and the due diligence and keep concluding that the risk is lower than ever before, not zero, but risk reward still compelling.
The risk I worry about is that injustice cuts things like approval down, however I believe the best chance of a fair decision is in the UK.
Cramer is a good guy after his hedge fund days.
As far as I know he last had a relationship with AF when AF stoped writing for the online website Cramer launched and later sold, the street.com.
Are you wondering why they have all gone radio silent? I am.
I’m not surprised since I was always the class clown, always looking to bring humor to situations.
But he who laughs last laughs best, don’tcha know!
I’m ready and eager for the next milestones for nwbo and dcvax!!!
It’s been a really long journey!
But these investments take a long time to mature.
I initially bought EDAP a long time ago too.
It went from low single digits to high single digits, to low double digits, back to highish single digits, and it’s journey has a ways to go.
ENMD was another dollar to subdollar, reverse split, Chinese management take over and change of direction, and lately bouncing between $3-$8, and I think I owned ENMD before buying my first nwbo shares.
Had another low price stock GV (Goldfield) from way back. For decades I thought it was a tax write off for management, who were involved in Florida citrus business having nothing to do with GV. Eventually the younger generation of the management took over and focused on their electrical services business after playing around with Florida real estate.
GV spent many years around dollar and subdollar, eventually moving up to $5-$7 per share. I don’t follow it any more after I finally sold my shares after 3-4 decades.
Just saying, small cap companies trying to develop a good business often take a long time and may never succeed.
Nwbo is the most promoted and most undiscovered company that I can think of and believe in, seeing real progress milestone by exasperatingly long time coming milestone.
As Red Fox used to say, Wheezy I think it’s the big one!!!
The loading zone is for loading and unloading.
Watch out for the brown LSD
(Memories of Woodstock)
Are you doing shrooms? You must be doing something mind bending, no?
I have been invested in stocks since I was a minor. Until recently, meaning the last decade, I’ve been investing in individual stocks.
I grew through different phases, including a hyper trading period when I would be making multiple trades every trading day and even did some Vancouver exchange trading including oddball investments in companies like Dimples diapers, an environmentally friendly reusable baby diaper system!
Fortunately I never bet the farm on micro caps and eventually came back to a moderately active and then less active investing approach. I got greedy with company stock once and paid a price of losing two thirds of my portfolio value, and recovered after 12 years of a more diversified portfolio.
Eventually I wound up with a mix of Berkshire B shares, S&P500, concentrated positions in Coke, Amex, Bank of America, IBM, energy companies like Chevron and Occidental and Coterra, REITS like Realty Income and NNN, and more recently Apple, nVidia, Uber, Merck, Abbvie, Lilly, and nwbo!
I truly believe that nwbo has the potential to become the highest returning stock investment of my life, and I’ve had a few 10+ baggers!!! It could also be a total wipe out, but the risk reward and the odds of success are better than ever imo.
If nwbo works out the way we believe it will, I will have to take maybe 10% to 20% off the table for personal reasons and keep the rest as long as the circumstances are right.
An nwbo success would set things up for a bigger shift into broader market index funds/ETSs and less individual stocks.
One last thought on investing. Over 30 years ago I opened a discount brokerage account with only a handful of stocks in it, along with my main brokerage account that I did all the trading in.
They both became six baggers or more overall except one was buy and hold and the other was very actively traded.
If it weren’t for the interest and enjoyment I get from following business and investing, I could have just bought and held sp500 and/total US market and done much better than either accounts did because I underperformed the index and by substantial amount more years than I matched the index.
So far, Tom Lee has been pretty “good” with his pretty specific market calls.
I find value in at least considering what Josh Brown, Karen Firestone, Steve Weiss, and the other panelists on the Halftime show have to say.
But more and more it appears that investing in broad index investing such as SP500 or the whole stock market is the way to go for most of us.
Yes you are correct I spoke loosely since I meant mono therapy in sense of the phase 3 trial (SOC and dcvax-l) and should have clarified that.
But now that you mention it, variations in the specifics of treatment, like no temo and/or radiation, may modulate the results.
Since chemo tends to “fatigue” the immune system, it’s plausible that not giving chemo would allow the immune response to be more effective.
I would qualify further that DCVax may, and has, cured cancers including GBM on its own for a smaller subset of patients but not the majority as a mono therapy.
DCVax extends survival on its own against GBM, which is among the worst if not the worst cancers.
The extraordinary initial results of combo treatments appear to be greatly upping the percentage of virtual cures and significantly increasing survival to more than 50-60% at 5 years!
Gary I know you very well know this, so this is for others who may fall for the FUD.
Other than Provenge, none of the others were approved because they didn’t demonstrate efficacy.
Provenge got into financial trouble with high costs to produce and it is for prostate cancer not GBM.
As far as I know DCVax is the first and the leader in dendritic cell cancer vaccine treatment, not the other way around!
The only failed product discussed on this message board is the FUD!!!
Sure, you might fool some people coming to this board looking for information, but surely anyone who bothers to do due diligence will quickly figure out the FUD from the facts.
I guess you might be counting on doodoo diligence instead of do due diligence
And stop calling me Shirley!
Who gets his check and cashed it?
Exactly!
What’s- third base!
