WE DID IT! 18.2 CENTS AT THE CLOSE!
Andy
My Scottrade chart says the same. I used Stockcharts.com to check the high, they don't display such granular numbers.
If you want to believe a .0001 difference constitutes a new 10 year high, who am I to object? :o}
Andy
Where do you get a 10 year high? On January 28, 2015 we hit 18, did that again on Friday. Not yet a 10 year high.
Previous high is why its not going higher immediately. Anyone who bought back then and held for this long may want out while they can break even or make a little profit. Once we clear them out...
Andy
PS: Cousin confirmed VTSI needs a NASDAQ listing for serious institutional buying. We'll just have to wait.
We need at least a 20 to 1 reverse split to get the price north of $3.00 a share. Based on past RS's by other companies, even those with great financials, the price tends to fall after the split. So a 20 to 1 today would get us to $3.50, a 20% haircut would still leave us at $2.80.
Anything above $2.00 a share means the institutional investors could buy this stock.
I'm going to find out more about this as my cousin is a money manager with his own firm, he has expressed an interest in VTSI but is constrained by the price. Not sure if being on the PINKs makes any difference.
Fascinating! The only positive difference between ARTX and VTSI is where they trade. ARTX trades on the NASDAQ, where VTSI is on the PINKS. ARTX also has a much smaller float, about 12% of VTSI.
ARTX has 7.5 times the revenue, but loses money doing it. Price to sales of a little over 1, VTSI is 1.75 to 1.
VTSI is debt free and profitable.
I would load up the truck with VTSI if I had the spare funds to do that.
As did Virtra. 11.5 to 16 cents, a rise of almost 40%.
Arotech (ARTX) went up 50%.
ARTX trades on the NASDAQ, VTSI is stuck in the PINKS. All things considered VTSI has done well. Wish we could do a reverse split and get off the PINKS.
Anyone know of a way to mass communicate to Bob that he needs to reconsider the reverse split and move up to NASDAQ?
Having owned this stock for well over 10 years I'm no longer surprised by what it does. Since 1st quarter earnings are not due out until May 16 unless some really good news gets released before then I would expect the PPS to fall back to the 12 cent support. PPS shot through resistance a few days ago, a healthy advance requires a backtest of that to confirm its back in bull mode. We have a month to do that before the next item of news arrives. Only another big order would prevent this from happening.
Last big order like this was Customs in 2014. If any of these orders were from last year someone on this board would have reported them, as they pay sharp attention to government contracts for Virtra.
If only Virtra understood the loyalty of its shareholders.
I passed it onto Bob, who is on vacation
Long time ago. It was spun off to someone I've forgotten. Now they only do military and law enforcement.
Andy
This is why I suspect it is taking so long for Virtra to get established:
"Vrotsos said the project has involved four years of study and he would like to see it implemented before he retires at the end of this year."
Andy
Last 10 trades (that I can see) are all on the buy side, with a ceiling of 14. Can't remember when I've seen such a narrow bid/ask: .139/.14
That too. But not this time. Just goes to show what you get when listing on the pinks.
Only in Virtra land does the price go up when the volume is better than 2 to 1 on the downside.
Record sales, record earnings, large orders, stock price goes nowhere. Sure wish there was some way to effect a management change. Company is doing great but the shareholders aren't.
Buy on the rumor, sell on the news?
Virtra is not a stock one invests in since there is zero relationship between management and shareholders. (Ignore the fact that I've owned it for longer than anything else)
Andy
Accumulating stock before what could be a very good earnings report? A good chunk of the DHS order should finally show up, assuming operations hasn't soaked it all up.
Anyone know what's going on with the price?
Slow, steady climb in the price today on heavier than normal volume. More selling than buying yet the price creeps higher. Is there some news due out to account for this? I know third quarter earnings come out on Nov 13 or 16, is this buying in expectation of a blowout earnings report?
Andy
Reverse Split benefits tiny company
APDN did a 60 to 1 reverse split in November 2014, at 8 cents a share. Price dived after the split, but since then the price has soared. Money losing company with a hot idea that is gaining traction.
Virtra is making money, so a 60-1 split today might do the same thing. Stock would be trading at $5 a share, opening it up to other investors. Would also help to get off the pinks.
Andy
Except for the fact that they publish audited financials, not required on the pink sheets.
Andy
What COULD happen with a reverse split.
APDN did a reverse 60 for 1 split at the end of October 2014. Stock price collapsed from a post split $6 to $2, but has since risen back to $5.
APDN has not made a dime yet, still losing money, although one could argue they support their stock better than most, and are in a sexier industry.
I wonder what would happen to a profitable VTSI if they did the same?
Andy
Maybe if we emailed Bob he might notice...
Bob Ferris <bferris@virtra.com>
If enough shareholders contact management maybe they will realize we exist. There is no downside to contacting them, what can they do to us that the SP hasn't already done?
Andy
So much for that theory...
Guess we mark time again until the next earnings report.
A little under 287,000 shares sold in multiple trades that could not knock the price down below 10 cents, which is unusual for this stock. Then we get a series of buys for 139,330 shares that pushes the price up to 12 cents. Sounds to me like the market wants to go higher.
Andy
What deadline?
This is a pink sheet stock. They do not have to report anything. The fact that they do, and in a timely manner says a lot about their hopes and aspirations, even if that is not at all obvious to their shareholders.
Andy
And the only reason one would want to accumulate VTSI is because someone knows they are likely to report blockbuster earnings on August 14 or 17. If not that then some large order is in the works.
The other possibility is having completed a Fibonacci retracement of the rise from last year its a good time to buy back in.
Isn't it fun to speculate?
Andy
It appears that a customer in the private sector who Virtra sold equipment to last year is going out of business and liquidating its assets.
Andy
Two comments
Being on the pinks means that Virtra does not have to report anything, let alone earnings, and audited earnings at that.
9 cents is a 61.8% retracement of the advance from the real bottom in November 2013.
Many stocks correct at the Fibonacci number of .618.

For those who want a shareholder freindly company...
Good morning and welcome to our Virtra Quarterly Conference Call. My name is XXXX, and I'm the Director of Investor Relations. I would like to thank everyone for joining us here today.
On today's call, we will be hearing first from Name, Chief Financial Officer for the company; and then from Name, our CEO and President, after which, they will together answer questions from our shareholders and analysts.
Investor Relations replies:
As we have said in the past, quarterly conference calls are expensive and time consuming. Given that we don’t have any formal sell-side coverage at this point in time and management is primarily focused on building the business, it’s likely not worth the expense. We are mindful of every dollar that we spend given our size. The press release and the financials provide adequate information for investors to keep them abreast of what is going on with the Company.
Given that one should not expect anything from Virtra beyond what we have gotten to date. You buy into this company because you believe in them for the long term, irrespective of what they do in the short run.
Andy
I wonder if the price can rise two days in a row?
Its been awhile.
Andy
That's your viewpoint.
Now try and see how Bob sees it. He is making enough money to live comforatbly, doesn't need any more right now, and is confident that if he keeps doing what he is doing the stock price will appreciate. So far he is right.
Five years ago the prce was a nickel, today its almost 12 cents. Bob has done nothing to promote the stock price yet he is up by 140%. Not bad from his perspective.
The only people complaining about stock appreciation are the shareholders. We all want to see it zoom to 50 cents or more.
The classic battle between owners and management.
Andy
Like all penny stocks that make money management gets paid even if the stock price does nothing. Bob is in this for the long haul, so as long as Virtra grows he makes out quite well. One would think he would have an incentive to boost the stock price, but only if he is going to need the funds soon.
I'm guessing Bob is still in his 40's so he is a long way from needing to do anything with his stock, so why worry about it? He gets a nice salary, what more does he need?
Andy
I'm pretty certain they got audited financials for the benefit of their customers, not to do an uplist of the stock. Remember Bob telling us they needed to be listed on NASD for sales with a higher price? That didn't happen but the sales definitely did.
Seeing as how Virtra is anti shareholder I expect them to remain on the pinks indefinitely. As long as they can generate the sales volume they have been doing I do not see any reason why they would want to do the uplist. That's for the benefit of shareholders, something Virtra ignores.
Andy
Stacking the deck?
Day started out with 22 trades on the sell side, nothing larger than 29K. Took the price down to 10.1. Then the buyers moved in. its been overwhelmingly on the buy side since 10AM. Multiple trades well over 20K, with two at 100K. Buy/Sell volume, delayed by 30 minutes, is running 3-1 or more on the buy side. Price is back up to 12.
Andy
Its all about Fibonacci Retracements.
Its all about the math. And Virtra certainly seems to play that way, considering there is next to nothing coming out of them to change purely mathematical investment in the company. Next big news is May 15, with the release of 1st quarter sales and earnings. They should be fantastic, but we won't really know that until they are released. Virtra is famous for earnings letdowns even though the previous order backlog would say otherwise.
The chart is 5 years. Declining trendline was broken to the upside in October of 2013, with an almost perfect backtest in July 2014. The parabolic rally hit the stock in October, taking it from 5 cents to 18 cents. We should not be surprised that its going to retrace some of that before resuming the uptrend. A 50% retracement is 11 cents, about where it is today. 61.8% is 9 cents, where it did a flash crash earlier this month. It may very well trade all the way down to 9 cents before May 15.
They are profitable with zero debt. Next two or three earnings reports should be very strong, after that its problematical, as they have not announced any more contracts. But then they do not think communication is that important, so we don't really know how well they are doing with respect to orders. Its always a guessing game with Virtra.

I poked Bob and investor relations, asking why they don't promote the company more. Their reply:
Thanks for your comments and recommendations and rest assured that management has taken everything under consideration. The management team is continually assessing the amount of time and resources that they are able to spend on investor outreach.
At this point in time, given the Company’s size and management’s primary focus on building the business, it has been determined that quarterly earnings press releases, intra-quarter press releases pertaining to material information and the disclosure of our detailed annual report, should suffice in keeping our investors fully informed on the financial condition of the Company and the progress that we are making to build the business and create shareholder value.
In addition, we are always responsive to investor inquiries regarding the Company and willing to answer questions related to the business, bearing in mind that we must communicate within the framework of regulation FD, only discussing material information that has been previously disclosed to the investing public.

Any comment?
Andy
In the meantime the market operates on No News is Bad News and sells off. For a company apparently as well run as Virtra is they sure don't care about their shareholders.
So the market is factoring in a possible not so good first quarter earnings report. Virtra has not announced many contracts since last year, and the big one won't complete for awhile, so maybe earnings may not look so god in a month. ???
Andy
Looks like a classic bear raid. But for so little....
May 15 or so.
