Yes, that is true; it’s six for six...
Yes, the Torvec contingent was strong and the winner's circle photos should be just fine. They were all excited as you could expect for engineers, racers and inventors that all have absolute confidence. The win was not challenged in any way by any other car from the green flag to the checkered flag. There appeared to be an easy three second advantage for each and every one of the 14 laps. There were no caution laps and the victory seemed to be an easy one for the team.
Saturday at the Glen Nationals is reported as...
Heinricy, a retired General Motors engineer who headed the company's high-performance division, took his No. 35 Torvec Chevrolet Corvette to his second T1 class win of the season. In doing so, he set a T1 class single-lap track record. He now holds lap records in three different classes at the Glen.
The race today went something like this ...
The Heinricy/Torvec Iso-Torque # 35 race Corvette:
Qualified for the pole position,
Maintained the lead for the entire race,
The entire race was green flag,
They set a new track record,
They took a checkered flag win,
They won with a 53 second advantage over the second place car in the T-1 class.
The whole team presents absolute confidence.
You may be confusing the difference between the...
Increase in shareholder value and the
Increase in the company's stock price.
The winning results in these races must be increasing shareholder value even though there appears to be a delay in the change in the stock price.
There is a possible advantage for a current acquiring shareholder of recognizing this difference, and to take advantage of the opportunity to acquire the shares before the stock price has caught up.
If, and when, Heinricy wins both races this weekend, then there may be less difference between the two perceived values.
You must be remembering the “good old days” when the share price was higher than the perceived value. The opportunity for shareholder losses was present then, under those conditions.
Heinricy speaks about this weekend's Glen National double...
"Watkins Glen is a very challenging track with high speed sections and lots of elevation changes," Heinricy said. "I'm expecting the IsoTorque differential to perform particularly good accelerating off of the very important turns leading onto the long straights."
What are the chances for testing Torvec's inventions...
in RIT's new venture into this $4.4 million government funded project?
"The NYSERDA grant has a very specific focus, it's not just the testing and research that has traditionally been Intertek's focus, it actually ties back to the research that goes on in colleges and it also has a piece that works on workforce development," said Kramak.
It further solidifies Upstate New York as a leader in developing wind power.
Intertek will be partnering with Clarkson University, RIT, SUNY Binghamton, Alfred, and Canton. Their testing site in Otisco should be up and running soon.
As long as that was not your intention....
what exactly was your intention with all of that?
As far as I can tell, everything is progressing exactly as he had planned; the only difference is that it is slower than he had planned.
Now that there is very little hope for...
your chance to be "taken care of" by your former associations; you have become so critical.
I agree with your criticism.
This missed opportunity to market the Iso-torque with some information as the all of the Iso-torque's benefits reminds me of Keith's 09/24/06 guest essay in the D&C when Keith closed out with: "Coupled with devices being developed by the industry, fuel savings could very well approach 50 percent" when he was writing about Torvec's IVT.
But, at the time, you were still planning on being taken care of.
Your response to that missed marketing event was:
I think his point was that nearly all the other automotive techologies being developed will produce incremental gains on top of the contribution by the IVT. I don't think Keith shot himself in the foot with the statement - even you asked what devices he could be talking about. The likely truth of the matter is that a manufactuer will end up seeing gains on that magnitude once they start coupling other technologies to the IVT.
As far as a patent on the P&M-accumulator combo, if its feasible or necessary, I'm sure it's in the works.
Refreshing the Don Knowles 2009 SCCA racing memories...
ELKHART LAKE, Wis., (Sept. 25, 2009) - Don Knowles, of Pittsboro, N.C., captured his fifth-career SCCA National Championship today, winning the Touring 2 class title at the 2009 SCCA National Championship Runoffs at Road America.
September 28, 2009
We wish to share with you some exciting news: the IsoTorque® equipped Phoenix Performance Solstice won the 2009 SCCA National Championships at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin on September 25, 2009. The Phoenix Performance Solstice GXP took the checkered flag 2.65 seconds ahead of Jason Ott and his BMW Z4 M Coupe after the 13 lap, 53 mile race. Eighteen of the best racers from all across the country who qualified for this event were allowed to compete. This Solstice was the only car equipped with the IsoTorque differential in this race.
An Iso-Torque upgrade patent was issued on 06/02/09...
In other IsoTorque related news, a new patent issued on June 2, 2009 on our “IsoTorque” technology and others are pending on this and certain of our other technologies. Torvec, and thus all of you shareholders, now own more than 300 patents. Although I have said it before, I want to say it again-----the value of these patents is not reflected on our balance sheet and under applicable accounting rules, are not valued as assets. However, it is indisputable that they have value and considerable value at that.
That is part of the, among other things...
that I was pointing out, & I agree with what you said.
I also think that, among other things, there was an upgrade in the Iso-Torque since those earlier days. Do you remember an upgrade? Also, isn't there less of a need for a cooling radiator and fan on the upgraded unit? I also sort of remember that the race team used the incorrect lubricant in that equipment back in those days.
The results were different at that time because,...
among other things, some of the drivers fail to win the race. If you are good at driving, you can purchase a ride and win a race. Purchase a ride at this link and then you can get things going.

In fact, you might notice that this one has a really fine differential.
That's right, I think you got it now...
when you said: "I guess you missed the part about when is this going to generate a return on our investment. I'm sure that you meant to answer that".
IMO you may have to wait till after September 26th for the full impact of Heinricy's accomplishments on Torvec's behalf.
Of course Torvec has other, non racing, activities that may generate your return on investment prior to that date.
This particular series of this exciting racing news...
will last until the SCCA National Road America run-offs which will begin on September 23-26, 2010 in Wisconsin.

as outlined in the last Torvec update:
The Phoenix Performance team is entering Heinricy and the Torvec Corvette in selected SCCA Nationals prior to the Runoffs. The team won June 6 at New Jersey Motorsports Park. The June Sprints, and a July 9 Double National at Watkins Glen, N.Y., are the final race weekends.

With a 60.5 point lead over second place,...
Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) seized the 1st Place Overall title for their second year in a row.
RIT took 2nd place in Presentation and Design; 3rd place in Cost and Acceleration. And they managed to hold onto their 1st place finish in Endurance while dealing with an issue on their fuel delivery. "We had a fuel leak internal to our fuel cell which caused a fuel starvation issues in the second half of our endurance run. Our second driver (Taylor Hattori) used excellent judgment, having already known that the Oregon State car had dropped from endurance; he decided to take it easy in case the car was actually running out of fuel," said John Scanlon RIT FSAE Racing Engine Group Leader.
It was a whole series of tidbits from...
the infamous CEO updates authored by various CEO's. One example is this one:
The installation of the IVT, including our custom electronic engine control unit (ECU) designed to maximize fuel efficiency across a wide variety of different driving conditions, is progressing on schedule.
The accompanying pictures demonstrate that the design of the IVT allows for a perfect fit into the vehicle. We anticipate commencing testing of the GM Tahoe with our custom designed ECU very soon.
From our experience in testing the Dodge Ram, we recognized that we would have to develop our own ECU. Our experience revealed that our opportunities could be significantly limited by relying on an OEM to develop our control unit. For example, patent opportunities can be developed with the design of the ECU. Therefore, we could be placed in a position of sharing a patent with an OEM covering a critical function. This could limit our options and hamper our ability to maximize shareholder value. Developing our own ECU caused some delay, however the extra time has allowed us to fine tune our IVT™ and ECU and to strengthen our overall patent protection. We are confident that our shareholders support these decisions. We will continue to take all necessary actions to ensure that the IVT™ achieves the best results while we put in place the strongest possible patent protection.
Yes, I'm surprised, but only about the presentation...
of the data on the web pages.
There is no mystery (IMO) about the delay with the commercialization of the IVT invention. That delay has been explained many times. Among other things, it had to do with price, and the development of the Engine Control Unit.
The Iso-Torque talk won't fizzle, it will sizzle.
When comparing some of the old information with...
the new information on the current web pages, I noticed that there is a material difference in the claim for improvements of MPG with the steady state results testing of the IVT. What's up with that?
Old claim:
As high as 25% fuel economy improvement over an automatic
As high as 20% fuel economy improvement over a 4 speed automatic

This competition will again offer evidence of the superiority of the IsoTorque differential over Torsen differential due to the fact that 20 of the teams have disclosed that they are using either the Torsen (18 teams) or Torsion (2 teams) version of the differential while only the RIT team disclosed the use of the IsoTorque differential.

You are welcome; it seems that you are...
correct with all that you say. But, in order to know for sure, we would have to know the terms of the joint venture. In some joint ventures, there is a controlling party. If "The Point Consulting, LLC" happens to be the controlling party of this joint venture, then Flaum's company does control the entire joint venture, and if it does not, then his company does not. It does appear that Torvec is attempting to control this whole process.
How is it that you are able to be so sure about the answer?
What you said seems to be the correct...
understanding of the press release. When I read the press release, I came away thinking that both firms were controlled by Flaum, while it may be true that only one of them is. Thanks for getting that cleared up.
In any event, Torvec's control of the destiny seems to be an underlying theme in the updates. Control of the patents, control of the manufacturing, etc....
That should be good for the shareholders.
It should work out just fine this time...
because the two firms are "part of Flaum Management Company, Inc."; and Flaum is a Torvec board member, remember?
This arrangement is very much unlike the one that Torvec had with the CXO group. They were not controlled by any Torvec board member, and they had to be quickly removed.
Manufacturing in Rochester should work out just fine as long as the international patents are enforced.
Remember; "Torvec’s patents are uniquely owned by its shareholders, providing the cornerstone for shareholder value."
Why would anyone want to take the chance...
that you could be wrong?
I was just pointing out that if it were the case then there might be a need to do the payment a different way. When someone says if and might, it can never be a misleading statment.
Here is the rule:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Insider_trading
Notice this part: "by individuals with potential access to non-public information about the company."
After looking that over, can you really be sure that what I wrote was wrong?
I should have finished up on that thought...
I really meant to say, "Why would he care if it was cash or stock"?
But there is a distinct advantage for him to get it in stock, if he is considered an insider, as he might be barred from purchasing stock with cash but can take the payment in stock.
With the confidence that is evident here, I'm assuming that his taking the consulting payments in stock would be the desirable method of payment.
It seems that you missed the important part...
again.
"Winning this race was actually quite a challenge," Heinricy said. "Because of a prior commitment, neither Joe nor I were available to be here for practice and qualifying, so we had to start at the end of a 25-car field for all Touring Car classes."
Here is a current Heinricy race news update...
"I'm now a consultant to Torvec, in Rochester, NY," said Heinricy, "helping them develop their new IsoTorque differential. As the IsoTorque differential is designed to do, I could easily feel the way it reduced understeer entering the corners here, and it enabled me to get the power down sooner upon exit, without unnecessary wheelspin."
I'm really not too sure about that ...
But when they (RIT) finishes that race this weekend, I'm sure they will need to get the soap out of the soap box and clean up because of all of the mud on the track.

When Hyundai gives Torvec the "quick" response ...
That, if it is positive, will be our ticket.
This is because Hyundai utilizes the Torsen differential right now.
So, a positive response will be validation of the superiority of the Iso-Torque over the Torsen.
We have already had racing results that proves the superiority, but now, for an OEM to validate it, that will be wonderful.
Did HQ happen to mention any news about?...
For the third time, Rochester will be home to the Rochester World Challenge, June 11-13 at RIT’s Gordon Field House and at Hogback MX in Palmyra, Wayne County.
