When comparing some of the old information with...
the new information on the current web pages, I noticed that there is a material difference in the claim for improvements of MPG with the steady state results testing of the IVT. What's up with that?
Old claim:
As high as 25% fuel economy improvement over an automatic
It is interesting that neither the 25% claim or the 20% claim is listed as one of the actual test results; as the actual test results were listed as 28.26% for the 15MPH Test, 26.40% for the 30MPH test and finally 9.21% for the 50MPH test. It is also interesting that the actual results were posted as percentages of the IVT's results instead of posting them as percentages of the automatic transmission's results.
If they had been posted as percentages of the automatic transmission's results, then the betterment percentages would have been 39.39%, 35.87% and 10.14% accordingly.
