As Gomer Pyle would say; Well...golly-gee I'd be able to afford some Chateau de Rolling Rock when Amarin gets to six dollars..... :D)

I might even buy grandma a new hat....
Ha ha, I know the feeling. As long as you're both happy, that's what counts. I'm done with the trophy wife deal, been there done that.
Now it's Grandkids and building stuff for my children.
Ahhhh yes....."Snottsdale" I call it. Mercedes, Beemers, Range Rovers, Horses, Over priced homes, HOA's. Give me a trailer park and a mattress full of money and I'm good.....
Although I think Doc (JL) would do very well in Scottsdale, of course Florida has about the same demographics
Grew up close to Scottsdale, took my daughter to horse riding training 2-3 times a week. I own several cowboy hats.
Ha ha, you haven't been to Sun City have you? What scares me is the younger people, especially younger women, I'm talking teenagers. A large percentage seem to be extremely overweight.
Chris; Thanks for the link, it's now showing 173 positions. What gets me is there's no new positions posted for Arizona. Lots of Boomers and Retirees live here. Amarin must think "Zonies" are beyond help...... :D)
GLTA,
Nuke
Love the armchair Quarterbacking. As most of the folks living in Eastern Ukraine are living in a war zone for the past 5-6 years. Ever since Putin sent in troops.
Ex-mother-in-law lives in the Ukraine, she begged her daughter not to travel to visit her. Borispol Airport (Kiev) was bombed. Only operational airport was in Donetsk (Russia) Ukraine is in shambles. So, it effects LTFU for sure. Got any other meaningful doomsday advice?
me33; Agree with your post. I can only imagine the negative consequences had the trial not included those with TGs 150-200. FDA would be all over us like a cheap shirt.
Regardless of the "Doom Prophecy"
Even an average guy like me with TGs in the 133 range, there's always room for improvement. I know a lot of guys at work with TGs in the 150 - 200. A large % of Americans are in this range. Not a good place to be.
When R-It shows a reduction in this group it will be "Grand"

Oops, sorry, thanks me33, then I guess we hear on Wednesday. I'll be in class, so I'll have to catch up later.
Thanks
Maybe, just maybe JT will report the results during next week's CC: August 3rd is next Friday.
A couple of times, good things usually happen when a company reports on a Friday...... :D)
Nope, nada.....
Thanks for the music JL;
Yeah, well, my Grandfather who I never knew was Irish. He skipped out on his family (wife and 3 daughters) one of which was my mother during the Great Depression. I believe alcohol was involved? Who really knows? Imagine how the daughters felt when their fathers leave them?
Simply amazing, positive news from the UAE and Amrain stock goes down. Good buying opportunity, bought more this morning.
Kiwi; on a lighter note, the 10,000 steps exercise minimum has been bothering me. What happens if I walk like a Penguin? Walking like a penguin, I'd exceed 10,000 steps right? Now, what if I walked like John Cleese Monty Python, I would have fewer than 2000 steps. So, in keeping with the board mantra of beating an issue to death, what is the reality of the 10,000 steps? Help, I need to get my sleep.
Happy trading,
Nuke
Thanks, well Eastern European diets are definitely different than the West.
I remember my ex-wife's mother would take salt pork and cover it with salt and stick it in the freezer. The pork fat would get infused with the salt and then be sliced thin and eaten with Russian mustard. It was quite good but, definitely the cholesterol meter would peg. On the flip side, the reason folks in the colder regions eat mostly fat if for the calories. case in point; Why do Eskimos prefer to eat blubber vs. meat? Blubber has more energy, meat (especially lean meat) doesn't have that many calories.
On the flip side of that, you don't see very many overweight Eastern Europeans because they do walk a lot. At least that's what my experience is from visiting Ukraine and Russia.
Isn't HDG from Hungary? No pun intended HDG.... :D)
Kiwi; I figured I'd get this out of the way, got a busy day ahead of me.
FWIW, thanks Kiwi, doing this has opened my eyes. Additionally, pre-Vascepa my Total Cholesteral was 213.
Table: Only documented Blood test is from May 2016
Mine/ Standard
>Cholesterol 188/ <199
>Triglycerides 186/ <149
>Cholesterol/HDL 3.9/ <4.9
>HDL 48/ >40
>Non-HDL 140/ <159
>LDL 103/ <129
>VLDL 37/ <29
>Calcium 9.1 8.3 - 10.4
>Blood Pressure resting/normal = 122
>Pulse rate.... depends if the nurse is pretty..... :D) 68-76
>BMI; Here's the scary one... Body Mass Index = 32.1, yikes, I've got a paunch but not an over the belt hanging gut like I swallowed a Beach ball.....
>Exercise? No, I do walk about 2-3 miles a day walking to and from my office. 10,000 steps? 2 miles is approx. 3500 steps, so, no I'm not getting the minimum daily exercise.
>Don't smoke, drink maybe 1-2 beers per week
>Diet, I'm on the see food diet, I eat just about anything I see.... I don't restrict myself. If there's salmon I eat it, if there's a brisket I eat it, BBQ no problem. Texas diet? yes, except for the beer part.
>Not a diabetic
Now the what if's;
>Would I buy Vascepa if it wasn't covered by insurance.... (see below). Current situation is I stopped out of Vascepa when the 90 day script cost me co-pay $650 through my Obamacare provider.
>Would I buy Vascepa if it was only a 7% RRR and not covered by Insurance? No. However, it depends on how the PPS does after Reduce-It? I have few vices, I think I would pay out of pocket for Vascepa simply because what it did for me previously (story to follow).
>Conversely, would I buy Vascepa if it was 7% RRR and it was covered by Insurance? Yes.
>Reasoning; when I was taking Vascepa previously I liked the general effect it had on my physiology and mental state.
Ready for my daily story? I told this one before. I was taking Vascepa for a few years (from 2013?) before my insurance no longer covered the cost. Insurance coverage stopped in like 2014 or 2015 thereabouts, when I went on Obamacare. In April 2013, I awoke from an Anxiety attack. Terrible experience, I couldn't sleep, every time I did go back to sleep, I'd wake up 6-7 minutes later in extreme mental discomfort. It was like someone was holding my head underwater, I felt like I was drowning. Very panicky. I'd been going through some family issues, stresses that may have triggered this mental state. IMHO, I felt like had I not been taking Vascepa, things could have been very bad mentally. My family has a history with mental illness. Just this fact alone can trigger things.... Oh crap.... Anyway, that's my story. Since then, what's helped me a lot without having the benefit of Vascepa, is that I drink Kombucha (probiotics), I eat yogurt, fermented foods etc. I think the serotonin uptake through one's digestive tract helps. That's my story and I'm sticking with it.
If you want more...... I have loads.... Thanks kiwi.
Almost forgot...the 7:1 Ratio, TG/HDL 186/48 = 3.9
Don't know my EPA/AA ratio, I do eat red meat

Morning kiwi, on my 65 mile commute to work. I'll try and reply to your request later today. I'm on my cell phone at the moment. Plus, I'll have to get my old blood test results.
I know what a BLT is, I'll have to look up what a BMI is Body Massage Index. I just love acronyms.....:D)

Hi kiwi, breath through the nose and out the mouth......slowly my friend.
When my Cardiologist said (given my results) I had a 10% chance of having a CVD event in the next ten years, I told him forget about the Statin, I'd take my chances. His reply was pretty adamant about me starting on a Statin. So, I caved.....
So, can we use this analogy for what Doctors may or may not do if..... Vascepa comes in @ 7%? Heck, just the supplements market is worth $billions
BTW, don't forget about the Secondary indications. The lack of adverse effects, the benign nature of EPA? The Real World indications. If they men absolutely nothing to you then I'll stop bugging you.
Mano e mano, I think you're a very intelligent sort. I wouldn't mind enlisting your Project Management skills when I design and build my Winery or perhaps a Brewery, when Amarin gets the Golden Ticket.
In the words of Dr. Vinkman (aka Bill Murray, Ghostbusters), Lenny if we're right, there will be 8 million voters who will praise your name.....
Nuke :D)
Spoken like an experienced fisherman...... :D) What the heck do I know about fishing with a net? I grew up in the desert and the city where the only place to fish was the golf course.
Carp, tiny bluegills, crawdads...... using a homemade fishing pole, a string, a hook and a piece of corn..... You know trophy fishing.....
Thanks JL; I stand corrected...

"with the exception of.Krill oil products having a higher secondary oxidation levels than plant based products."
except the woogah woogah about south Polar seas, krill live in both polar regions the exception is the genus difference.... they're called Calanus copepods in the Arctic.

tmac; Your welcome, If you hadn't caught my gist; IMHO, the source of Omega 3 doesn't really matter, it's a raw material in and of itself.
Vascepa is an end product.... It's like saying where does my hamburger come from? Can we be more specific? Is it Soybeans, Beef, Worms (McDonalds..... :D) Pork, Turkey, Chicken, Lamb, Buffalo, Elk, Deer, Goat.
Mmmmm, haven't had a Goat burger in quite some time.....
tmac good question; start here;
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omega-3_fatty_acid;
Pretty much salmon, herring, mackerel, anchovies, menhaden, sardines. Oops, forgot about Krill (tiny shrimp).
>Fisherman aren't particular, IMHO whatever ends up in their nets and they can't sell it to restaurants or canneries, then it gets sold as Omega 3.
>Some fish contain higher Percentages of Omega 3, I know kiwi likes his salmon...... :D)
>I know JL is against Krill, but think about it for a minute.... fish production for the purposes of just procuring Omega 3 crosses boundaries.
It doesn't make economic sense to catch only specific fish, it's not cost effective. So what if Vascepa has some Krill in it? So what? Yes, there are such things as Krill Fisherman (Artic & Antartic waters).

Bottomline Omega 3 is Omega 3.....
Arizona State University (Go Devils)..... has a Biofuel Program who is working in conjunction with one of our Power Plants (Combined Cycle). To capture Carbon Dioxide and combine it with algae to produce a biofuel.
https://asunow.asu.edu/20160516-asu-news-biofuel-research-department-energy-funding
For Carbon emissions this could be a boon.... not only do they get "free" CO2, they decrease our carbon footprint. Omega 3 is mostly plant based anyways. Fish eat the algae and in turn get eaten by bigger fish. "Nothing goes to waste in nature."
Don't know Kiwi, not a marketing major. I was just thinking that perhaps since Reduce it is over whether or not the study patients were told which drug they were given or not? I would like to know, if I was in a six year study and I started feeling like crap after I stopped taking my meds.....? You know what I mean Vern?
I'm sure the money spent on advertising, was money well spent and necessary.
Something else to ponder. Could the increase in scripts be from the Reduce-it study participants who were in the V arm?
Invest; I don't understand.... why would Amarin do another stock dilution before Reduce-It results come out? And especially with the stock price under $3?
IMHO, I would think they would want to publish/ PR the results, let the PPS go up, stabilize then do another dilution? Granted, I do see Amarin needing a large cash infusion for increased sales, inventory, etc. but not at these prices. There's enough time to raise funds... of course time is money.
Not fair kiwi, let's be adults here. From my perspective, not if I win, but when.... and I can only speak for myself. My ego isn't so big to where I will think I'm a genius when Amarin hits it's numbers. Educated guess more like it. Good investing? Perhaps. 45 years trading losers. When I hit the homerun, well, it's a homerun.....
If the rug gets pulled out from under me for whatever reason, then I'll chalk it up to experience. Hindsight is 20/20.
With overwhelming evidence available, you're really sticking with your conviction that Amarin is doomed? Where's your faith lad? You're taking PCSK9 right? Then you're already a believer in the science. That's where I'm hanging my hat. If it doesn't work out..... well I'll keep working until I drop dead in my cubical......

Where do they get these journalists? "Alzheimer's disease, commonly known as Alzheimer's disease." Jeez my grandson could do better....
Thanks ranjo, makes me glad I have some MJ stocks besides AMRN in my portfolio.
Can't get over the stupidity in this Omega 3 market. Only reinforces my belief to stay the course.
Kiwi, yeah, but.....the cost of living in the Bay area requires that kind of wage.
Carpenters in my neck of the woods get about $28 per hour.
Bay area is awfully nice though this time of year.
Hmmm, some truths hidden by your real message...... Suppliers don't normally cut-off their noses inspite of their face? Why in heck would suppliers hold Amarin and Mochida hostage, when EPA can be manufactured by numerous facilities given the right incentives. Companies will be climbing over each other to produce EPA. This isn't rocket science. If you have an example to illustrate this, I'm open to it. Granted in my sector ( nuclear power) there are vendors who do hold us hostage. But, this is only because of our own fault. We rely on maintaining configuration control and essentially paint ourselves into a corner. So, we have gotten into a single source dilemma. Amarin and Mochida are not in the same dilemma. Suppliers can " tool up" quickly. Do you think that BASF is the only supplier of EPA? How many suppliers do you think are capable of making high purity EPA?
Ha ha..... I'll buy the first round. Miss it? Ain't gonna happen....
Or maybe he knows something we don't. Keep in mind he's a mouthpiece. He sells his opinions and his reputation is at stake if he makes the wrong call.
Depends on how you look at things, is your glass half empty of half full?
It's like JLs analogy of the Wright Brothers. The World was skeptical of their engineering and design, but until they proved their concept the skeptics became the promoters.
Maybe AF has turned a new leaf?
Ahhh, I see the wee people are posting wildly. Good time to buy more IMHO
New to WATT, bought in today based upon the Tech. Thanks for the links, they helped alot. Very excited about the Technology.
OSSIA trades on Singapore Stock Exchange under symbol O08, that's the letter "O" followed by zero, then 8. Could not find a US stock listing.
What's nice about WATT is they trade on NASDAQ
IMHO, What I picture is a merger between OSSIA and WATT, almost has to happen because of the technology involved. Unless they standardize the signal. They'll have to work in conjunction with each other.
I'll wait for a rebuttal of IMHO, that's what message boards are all about.
Kiwi; I think an RRR of 10% will "Rock the House."
Last Cardiologist visit was approx. 2 years ago, the Doc said I had a 10% chance of having a CVD event in the next ten years. So, guess what he did? He prescribed a Statin for me.
Generic Lipitor, it made my bones ache and I didn't feel very good taking it. So I stopped. I then had the doc switch me to Livalo based on a friend at work who was taking it and BTW, Livalo was a KOWA statin, so, just to support KOWA, I started taking it. I eventually stopped taking any Statins at all.
Vascepa of course became too expensive since it wasn't covered under my medical insurance and I'm not on Medicare yet.
So, with RRR coming in at 10% or better we still have a winner with Vascepa.
Sounds like you've made some enemies here, if you go to Vegas to celebrate, I'll be there, I've got your back. Always fun to mix it up, boys will be boys.... with a few beers (or wine or something stronger...) who knows :D)

Sage advice Zip; I'm assuming the family member is younger than yourself?
If no one made any mistakes, we'd all be in deep doo-doo......
So, to be really anal; is that like 10% to the 11th Power (11 days at 10% per day compounded) or simple math i.e. 11 days x 10% = 110%. There's quite a difference.
Not sure if it was a Biblical or just a parable on compounding.... A King once offered payment for services to a subject. He asked the subject if he'd rather receive a penny everyday for 30 days or a penny compounded daily for 30 days (1 penny to the power of 30). Had the subject known his mathematics he would have chosen option #2, which essentially would have bankrupted the kingdom. Then the subject would have become king...... or he would have lost his head.
Just pulling your chain DML..... :D)
Hope all of our wishes come true this year.

Watched about 350,000 shares traded in the last 5 minutes of trading. Pretty nice action and volume. Would be nice if the manipulators would allow this to trade up.
Wishful thinking, when a stock trades like AMRN, there's money to be made for those with the cahones' to trade on the dips.
Woo hoo..... too funny this AM. Any idea who might be selling? Had to have been someone with deep pockets. Great buying Opportunity......
