Hmmm, some truths hidden by your real message...... Suppliers don't normally cut-off their noses inspite of their face? Why in heck would suppliers hold Amarin and Mochida hostage, when EPA can be manufactured by numerous facilities given the right incentives. Companies will be climbing over each other to produce EPA. This isn't rocket science. If you have an example to illustrate this, I'm open to it. Granted in my sector ( nuclear power) there are vendors who do hold us hostage. But, this is only because of our own fault. We rely on maintaining configuration control and essentially paint ourselves into a corner. So, we have gotten into a single source dilemma. Amarin and Mochida are not in the same dilemma. Suppliers can " tool up" quickly. Do you think that BASF is the only supplier of EPA? How many suppliers do you think are capable of making high purity EPA?
