MIG...re BLOCKS...I think if someone can pull the last five minutes of trading...we would find that there were HUGE blocks buying all the way up from 3.18 into 3.34-5s.
Sincerely,
Jas
MIG...re close...In the last 5 minutes...we traded over 400,000 shares and most of that volume was on the UPSIDE...actually..I was wrong...we went from 3.35 down to 3.16 in less than amnute to close at 3.18. THE IMPORTANT POINT IS THAT WE HAD A MAD RUSH AT THE CLOSE TO BUY STOCK!!! The qestion is ....WHY BUY IN THAT FASHION???
Sincerely,
Jas
re finish...Now..that was interesting! We went from 3.31 to close at 3.18 in less than a minute.....
Jas
HHH..re costs...Maybe you could address the POTENTIAL cost savings for the Enterprise customer in regards to running SECURE APPLICATIONS?? Obviously, the benefits have to out weigh the costs..otherwise no customer is going to purchase this product.
Jas
UCN...I thought the 1.7 million shares were for Redwave...
Sincerely,
Jas
Larry...re Stock Price being able to look into SKS's books....may I remind you that even though the company has been working with Intel and IBM for years....it wasn't until recently that the Stock price started to reflect some of that fact relationship.
Sincerely,
Jas
Bull Dolphin...re burn rate...I think that Steven said that the burn rate was now down to ~ 1.2 million /month...FWIW
Sincerely,
Jas
Larry...Wave got de-listed from the NASDAQ back in 97...it was not re-listed until around 99. Those of us who were following the stock back then on Silicon Investor were invested prior to delisting and bought in in the dollar + change area.
Sincerely,
Jas
re Revenues...SKS seemed to indicate that he feels much better regarding the future of the company compared to some of the shareholders because of his access to internal numbers that he has been given by the various companies that are dealing with Wave. When asked questions about Intel...he kept on deffering them back to Intel although he did say that the IP could show up on a number of diffeent products from Intel. All in all...I feel MUCH BETTER!
Sincerely,
Jas
re NYC...I think the Niagara grid has gone down...
Jas
SKS...we have enough resources to get us to the point of deployment....the runway is LONG ENOUGH!
Jas
Jenny/LHF...re Wave as a hardware/chip company....Now..You've stated numerous times in the past that Wave never wanted to be a software company....How many times do you need to be told that Wave NEVER wanted to be in the chip business...but that little FACT always seems to escape your grasp...or does it?
Sincerely or not,
Jas
Good evening Waverider.....it's been an interesting trip these last six years or so....If Wave does eventually become the company we all believe it has the potential of becoming...nobody outside of this community would ever believe that there once was a group of people that had so much faith in an idea...that they went from board to board as a unit...Silicon Investor....Yahoo....Ragingbull...Motley fool...Ragingbull....Investorshub...Anyhow...good to put a name to your alias
Sincerely,
Jas
Blue...thanks for the update...I wonder what pure thinks of the intel relationship....obviously, we still need to wait to see what it truly morphs into. Having said this...it's the biggest sign of vindication that we have received over the past few years. Regarding Doc...I remember that he sold his position to take a stake into DRIV...at the time it was a great move. Anyhow...going back and re-reading those posts from Silicon Investor was very interesting.
Sincerely,
Jas
CMF...re revenues...Not only do we need to know what the royalty fees are...but perhaps more importantly...we need to figure out what the subscriber rate is expected to be for our "premium services". For example...lets say that the volume of wave enabled PCs/notebooks in the market next year is ~ 10 million ( 150-200 million units are sold each year) Lets assume a 30 % subscriber rate ( remember that the first market for these PCs/notebooks will be for the Enterprise consumer...the ones that will be motivated to take advantage of our premium services) at ~ 20 dollars/unit/year...this would give us revenues of ~ 60 million dollars using those numbers. Obviously, the amount will vary tremendously as either the total number deployed or subscriber rate changes. One can extrapolate from there as to our potential growth rate.
Sincerely,
Jas
Good evening everyone,
I took a walk through memory lane by going back to the Silicon Investor WAVX board.....It's something else to go back to 97 and see what we were all posting about this company. Does anyone know what ever happened to Pure Folder? Marty Lee? Bob Hainsworth? There were some very familiar names...Wahoograd/Wildman/24601/SDR/fatboy/cpa/Tony McFaden/etc...that makes this experience something special...kind of like an extended family. Hopefully, we are about to write the final chapter about the Wavoid Wilderness and the first chapter in as the Tidal Wave Crests!
Sincerely,
Jas
Pulsetaker...With all due respect...are you implying that the TREMENDOUS surge in volume and buying pressure at the end was similar to what the market was experiencing in general? The percentage gain maybe consistent with the overall market...but that fails to tell the entire story as to what occured this afternoon in tegards to Wave.
Sincerely,
Jas
Larry...re TA...Keep up the GREAT work...You too Preacherman...there are those of us that truly appreciate people who are able to provide good TA...it is an art!
Sincerely,
Jas
re Pump and Dump....Please explain HOW selling LESS than 10% of their total holdings and paying back loans TO the company constitutes a pump and dump....
Sincerely or not,
Jas
N4...re proxy...There is NO mess...things are getting blown way out of porportion...We as a group need o take a chill pill.
You should be taking heart at todays news...we just raised 3.5 million dollars without dealing with the vultures.
Sincerely,
Jas
Larry...re VAR...Sounds good...let us know what you find out.
Sincerely,
Jas
Larry...re IBM...
There has been a TREMENDOUS amount discussed regarding the significance of the IBM pr. Allow me the opportunity to put my two cents into the arena.
IBM certification means that the EMBASSY Trust Suite Client has been tested and certified to work in the manner as it is advertised. If one goes to the Security page on IBM's site...one will notice that there are software products available from Cisco/Ceckpoint/Verisign/Entrust/RSA/argus/Gemplus...Wave will enjoy the SAME status as those companies. Our tech is going to be available just like those of the above companies for IBM's clients to download. For those who are not familiar with IBM...they do NOT bundle anyones products with their platforms. None of the above mentioned companies have their software products bundled directly by IBM...THIS IS AN IMPORTANT POINT! When a client purchases an IBM -TPM enabled system...the user must go to the IBM website and download the software to make the TPM truly functional. Having said this...most of IBMs systems are sold through reseller channels...better known as VARs. The enterprise customer who is interested in purchasing a TPM security enhanced IBM system...would also be able to order BOTH the system and Wave's EMBASSY RUST SUITE CLIENT at the SAME time...ie in the box... through the VAR. I believe that it is at this point where the author of the Dow Jones story got confused. Wave will generate revenues as the applets are activated.
Hope this helps.
Sincerely,
Jas
Eric....re Numbers...With all due respect...You do understand that what we are talking about is the first phase of a plan that will eventually cover nearly every pc and notebook that gets deployed. This is the plan...not our plan..but of companies that make up the TCG..which include MSFT/INTC/HP/IBM etc... We have been told the following:
1) National Semi will deploy their TPM Safekeeper with our technology onboard. EVERY SAFEKEEPER WILL BE WAVE ENABLED...and we will receive revenues DIRECTLY from NSM for EVERY safekeeper they deploy. We have been informed by NSM that they ALREADY have design wins using the Wave ENABLED Safekeeper.
2) INTC....This little company has told the WORLD that they plan on building the next generation of MB with our technology inside. This is not just any MB...it is the one specifically designed for the next generation of TRUSTWORTHY COMPUTING!
The point is that the vision of the TCG has not only begun to take shape...it is here...and we shall see it in the FOURTH QUARTER...2003.
Sincerely,
Jas
N$...We are currently in the middle of a storm which will subside shortly. The only potential harm that I can see coming out of the lst few days is that of credibility. Wave's mangement did not create this mess that we find ourselves in at this time. One could argue that they should have come out and pointed out that the Dow Jones story was not accurate. Having said that...I can't see any other area in which we are worse off than we were a week ago. What areas are you thiking about...if you don't want to talk about it on the thread...send me an e-mail at internet@ragingbull.com
Sincerely,
Jas
N4...re harm:
1) #1 item is raising enough capital to get us into next year where the revenues will approach our burn rate. A few things to consider...
a) Share price...we are still at MUCH higher levels than we were less than a week ago.
b) We need to maintain the 1.90 level for a total of 15 out of 20 days
c) Our 4-5 million shares of SSPX continue to gain in value
d) We have been negotiating the possible sale of SOL or a portion of WaveXpress
2) #2...Demonstrate that our technology WILL play an important role in the next generation of the SECURE PC...The NSM/INTEL/IBM news clearly demonstrate that this is not a figment of the imagination of the wavoids.
3) The company is in BETTER sape today than it ws less than a week ago!
N4..I'm not saying that this situation could not have been handled differently...it should have..but given all that has taken place...we are in a BETTER situation...not worse!
Yes....I'm putting my money where my mouth is today!
Sincerely,
Jas
N4...re IBM fiasco...Let me start off by saying that we are paying way to much attention to the tree and overlooking the forest. The real significance of the IBM news is being overlooked by a large number of people. Think about the following:
1) IBM has a secure pc that they have had in the market for nearly two years.
2) During this time...IBM has NOT been able to provide enough applications to satisfy their clients.
3) One of the reasons why IBM came back to Wave was to have a product to offer their clients who had initially bought their "secure" pcs.
4) IBM certification is the FIRST step that will allow their PAST clients as well as their FUTURE clients to get the most out of their "secure" pcs.
5) IBM certification is the FIRST step that will allow us to get our products into the PC/notebooks that have ALREADY been deployed by IBM.
6) EVERY time the application is downloaded and activated...WAVE WILL GENERATE REVENUE
A few things to keep in mind....the world for the wavoid CHANGED the day that INTEL proclaimed....WAVE INSIDE!!!!
Sincerely,
Jas
Larry...Don't be upset by some of the reactions of the wavoids. Like everything else in life...our company has its share of warts. Having said this...if one honestly examines where the PC industry is heading and the importance of security...then one has to be very impressed with what Wave has been able to accomplish. Think about this fact...Wave is the ONLY company of our size..and financial condition...that is dealing with the whos who of the tech world. We're the ONLY company in a position to provide the services to get TCG up and running at this time...The fact that both NSM and INTC have AGREED to pay Wave for their IP should be telling...
Sincerely,
Jas
Larry...re TCG...TCG IS the reason why the INTEL news is probably THE most important development regarding Wave's future. I'm not sure how you can comment on Wave without understanding what TCG is all about. Wave's web site can provide you with additional information.
Sincerely,
Jas
re Dow Jones...For a reporter who just a couple f days ago was unable to get the basics..isn't it amazing that she can come up with all these financial nuggets! The shorts/MMs must be REALLY getting nervous about the potential of this stock if they have to feed a story about something that we have known about for weeks.
Amazing...
Jas
Jeny...re INTEL...now...now ...now...do you truly believe that you are going to get off that easy....I asked you a direct question...are you saying that there is NO difference between the two PRs?? Is there a difference between where the industry is on the whole between 2000 and 2003? For you to simply lump this INTEL announcement with any other speaks VOLUMES about where you are coming from....
Sincerely or not,
Jas
Jenny...re credibility...You attempting to convince anyone that there is NO difference between the Intel PR vs the one from AMD? Is there a difference between the statements of .. we are working together on a reference motherboard design....vs...we will DEPLOY our next generation motherboard aimed specifically at the TRUSTED COMPUTING SEGMENT by the FOURTH QUARTER. You're something else......
Sincerely or not,
Jas
2b...Now you've gone and done it...you've confused the issue! ))
Jas
Large/Jenny...re IBM
How can you possibly get on Lark's case for using the term partnership..go to IBMs web site...that is how they refer to other companies they work with to bring products to their clients.
Secondly..I sincerely hope that you are truly UNABLE to tell the diffeence between the respective PRs....
Sincerely or not,
Jas
Zeev...re Peter Sprague/NSM...You are correct in that Peter was formally related to NSM. As you are currently aware...Steven Sprague is our current CEO while Peter has taken control of WaveXpress. The important part of the NSM deal is that Wave WILL receive a fee from NSM for EVERY Safekeeper TPM they ship. According to Steven Sprague...NSM has informed the company of design wins using the Wave enabled Safekeeper TPM.
Sincerely,
Jas
Zeev...re shorts...At this time...given this tremendous volume...the shorts are not an issue. This will change as the volume subsides. The real question is whether or not we have some new shareholders of the special kind...institutional vs corporations. For those of us who have been following this company for years...the last couple of major announcements have indeed been TREMENDOUS. The 3 announcements that I would point out to you would be the following:
1) National Semiconductor
2) Intel
3) IBM
The first two are self explanatory...the IBM anouncement is VERY important because there is ALREADY a built in demand for these applications from their pre-existing ENTERPRISE clients This point has been hamered home in previous comments from our CEO.
Sincerely,
Jas
X-point...re Partership....Steven has told us in prior CCs that our Applications were in the process of being CERTIFIED by IBM...Yesterday's PR...not story...but PR states that very fact. We were misdirected by the quote attributed to Callahan where he implied that we had a deal with IBM to Embedd our software directly into IBM's boxes during the fourth quarter. I pointed out this discrepency yesterday morning when the stories first came out. Anyhow, this should NOT deminish the accomplishment of actually having applications CERTIFIED by IBM. The reason why this is important is the following:
Steven has stated that IBMs customers have come back to them and asked what can they do with their new "secure" pcs? Wave's applications allow those "secure"pcs to actually perform functions in a secure environment that they are currently unable to conduct. THIS IS IMPORTANT! This certification will enable the company the ability to offer IBMs clients (who have been asking for secure services )to actually download these applications (for a license fee )directly into their IBM secure pcs that are ALREADY in the market place. FOLKS...this would mean that we WILL actually have REVENUES this quarter from IBM's clients.
Sincerely,
Jas
Bear...re WAVX...
I'm not sure what you do or do not know about the company...the first place to start would be at Wave's web site...
http://www.wave.com
http://www.wavexpress.com
The above two sites should provide you with enough material to get started. Regarding the question about what makes this time any different than the past...the over simplified answer is that the world has changed dramatically over the past few years. Security has become the holy grail...Companies such as MSFT/IBM/INTC/HP etc. have ALL said that the next generation of PCs will HAVE to be a more SECURE version of what is out there today. Wave has signed deals with National Semiconductor....Last week we signed a deal with INTC to be included in their next version of the motherboard that is being designed specifically for Trustworthy Computing. Yesterday...we signed a deal with IBM. These are VERY IMPORTANT developments that make THIS time VERY different from the past.
Sincerely,
Jas
Larry and Bear....I don't think Bear has anything to worry about as long as he/she acts in a civil manner and does his/her homework regarding the tech and sector. We all need to view a company from both perspectives...the long as well as short side. Besides...anyone who is good at TA should ALWAYS be listened to...whether one follows the TA or not is a different issue. Having said that...welcome to the den...
Sincerely,
Jas
Larry...re shorts...If you don't mind me asking...how did you come to that opinion regarding shorting WAVX?
Sincerely,
Jas
Greg s...re INTC motherboards...
7/31/03......."The agreement will enable intel to bundle Wave's software and services with a future Intel desktop motherboard, taggeted for trusted computing platforms."
...We believe the EMBASSY trust suite software will provide good value for our customers looking for trusted computing applications", said Michelle Johnston acting director of marketing for Intel Desktop Board operations.
....The Trusted Computing Group (TCG) is a new industry organization DEDICATED to embedding trust and security more broadly into computing platforms and devices.
OK...so YOU are telling me that this entire dedication to the goals outlined by TCG is going to amount to what...5-600,000 motherboards??? ARE YOU SERIOUS??????????
Sincerely,
Jas
