Barge. Re Sks promising about pipeline ... Dead wrong!!!! About Three to five years ago... He flat out said that he expected up to a half a dozen deals to close by year end ... That was in nov of that year!!!! You really have to STOP reinventing history
Jas
Re change.... Blue fang and some other posters have brought up very important issues. In regards to firings... I will say that Berger is not the only one that had been let go. LinkedIn is a very useful source of info
I'm in the camp of giving Solms additional time before announcing that he has been neutered
Sincerely
Jas
Tkc....re Sks. What makes you think he will have enough votes to stay
On the bod????
Sincerely
Jas
Morning Dig.. Re the video... It's like anything else in the advertising arena... It's about striking an emotional cord with the audience.. Not everyone responds in the same manner.... For this individual... The video did hit that emotional button.... Fwiw
Sincerely
Jas
Working cap... I'm talking about a marketing angle.... Not a nomination for the Oscar. The marketing campaigns that stick in people's minds are the ones that have an angle to them in addition to being on the edge.... Where's the beef commercials from Wendy's ... The 1984 apple commercial... Etc.
Sincerely
Jas
Weby... Re the video.... It's a first step to create "buzz" branding. Right now... No one has staked a marketing claim to the concept of embedded security... I think it was a potentially a game changer for creating an Interesting marketing campaign.
Sincerely
Jas
Finally!!!!!! Someone in marketing has come up with an awesome video. It reminded me of the 1984 apple commercial that really launched the company... Can you imagine playing that ( slimmed down version) video at the Super Bowl ???
Sincerely
Jas
Root of Trust...re ATM....I hate to disagree...but I think you've been mislead.....The question to ask is ....has the company EVER used the ATM.....the answer you provided could only be for the current time....IMHO
Sincerely,
Jas
Unix " Safend doesn't look like a good deal now...". Could you please tell us WHY you think Safend was purchased in the first place???
Sincerely
Jas
Re share price drop....some entity.... Be it either Wave via the ATM or Safend was capping us in the 2.20s and then again in the 2.10s. When the stock broke below those levels... The margin players began dumping The other component to this collapse besides the shorts ... The institutional factor. I believe the last figures we had put institutional holdings around 14%. Once the share price broke 2 and stayed below for a period of time.... Some may have been forced to sell secondary to internal policies regarding holding stocks below the 2 dollar level ... This is purely conjecture on my behalf... So take it fwiw
Sincerely
Jas
Are you serious ???
Sincerely
Jas
Samsung was going to build the original 2100 If my memory serves me
Sincerely
Jas
Fwiw... I agree with your napkin's numbers for wave
Sincerely
Jas
Re ATM....Do you have any idea as to how many shares have actually entered into the market?? I don't think anyone knows the answer to that question. So what does the ATM have anything to do with a specific number of shares outstanding. As the ATm is utilized more and more...it will increase the number of shares outstanding....but to attribute a specific number at this juncture seems .well... interesting to say the least....
Sincerely,
Jas
Jermart.....Gee thanks for your up to date data.....I do appreciate it!!! Now a url is usually helpful.....but I'll take your word on it So...just that I understand...You're saying that Wave has added roughly 13 million ADDITIONAL shares since the end of the third quater.....got it Roughly 5 million shares for Safend...and the rest of the 12-13 million shares are from...........
Sincerely,
Jas
tpt...you beat me to it....
Sincerely,
Jas
jermart...interesting info....Is there a url regarding that info....Now if I go to the official NASDAQ site....it lists the TOTAL outstanding shares as 88,412,000 shares..as of 3/2/2012
http://www.nasdaq.com/symbol/wavx
Sincerely,
Jas
Jermart...re 101 million shares...so let me understand what you are saying...Wave is no longer in the top ten shorted stocks because there are now 101 million shares outstanding officially...it has to official in order for a reporting body to use that number in its calculations. So...could you please provide documentation of these 101 million outstanding shares.....for some reason...I always seem to have a difficult time checking the veracity of your posts.
Sincerely,
Jas
Jermart... Once again... The question is being avoided ...
Sincerely
Jas
Oh me oh my... You've convinced me!!! I'm going to dump ALL of my shares at the open tomorrow. Thanks again for your awesome insight to the nature of Trusted Computing
Sincerely
Jas
Agree.... Having said that ... One should not ignore the warts of the company either. However... Some of the lies and distortions are becoming rediculous IMHO
Sincerely
Jas
Jermart. Once again you appear to be ducking the question. The original post you submitted on this topic you said the following.... Wave is ALWAYS on the top ten stocks shorted . Your response falls .... Well... Short
Sincerely
Jas
Jermart... Re short numbers... Can you please clarify your comment about wave always being listed in the top ten short list... Surely you are not talking about number of shorted shares... Are you talking about the percentage of the float... Surely that is not accurate. So are you talking about the never of days it will take the shorts to cover based on daily avg?? Not sure I understand which of your statements are accurate
Sincerely
Jas
Unix. Simple... They have helped create a market ( trusted computing) when software security was the standard.
Sincerely
Jas
Barge... Re trusted logic/arm. I believe that the recent demo signaled a major pivot for wave in regards to the consumer space. Honestly... It was a lot sooner than I was anticipating
Sincerely
Jas
Mio41... Re all computers must come equipped with seds....seems like a very strange comment to make. There are over 80 million pcs made yearly. Does anyone truly believe wave would not be in the green with only 1/80th of that volume?? TPMs are now about to become a significant part of Windows 8.... Yet he doesn't say a word about that... Strange
Sincerely
Jas
Hi Alea. Re waves poor job of explaining things to the investment community.... I agree 100%
Sincerely
Jas
Alea... I'm not sure I understand the point of your post. All I was commenting upon is that people are invested in this company who do not fully understand this tech and are missing the clear advances that are taking place. The closest analogy is that of a puzzle... The pieces are coming together better than we could have hoped for only a few years ago... Yet some appear unable to appreciate the picture developing Infront of their eyes. Before we can sustain profitability... The market needs to develop. How on earth can we have been producing huge profits if the market had not been created?? Wave is helping to create a NEW market for trusted computing.... Which according to msft will finally arrive on center stage with the release of windows 8. At the same time... Wave has greatly expanded its potential market with the work they have done with trusted logic/arm
Sincerely
Jas
Titlewave... Re interest... I believe that since the end of sept... We have seen the sale of a couple million shares sold by the Safend VCs On top of those sales.... Add on the shorts and any shares that are coming out of the ATM.... Therefore.... The market has absorbed those shares and we are still above 2 dollars/ share.... Can we go lower.... Absolutely...
But it will be for a short period of time if it happens . I would argue that accumulation is taking place in a non aggressive fashion
Sincerely
Jas
May I suggest that you reread the American micro and trusted logic prs.... I sincerely believe people are not understanding what they are reading IMHO
Sincerely
Jas
Re American mega trends ( ami). Am I the only one that thinks we have not paid more attention to the contents and subsequent ramifications of that pr???specifically... Paragraphs 5..6..&7. What am I missing????
Sincerely
Jas
Jermart. Re dd... It was the dd done by members of this community that allowed a number of us to establish VERY large positions ( mid 6-7) figures in the .3-.5 / share... Therefore... The comment you made is not very accurate fwiw
Btw.... It's the same dd that will allow us enough confidence to purchase additional shares going forward
Sincerely
Jas
Cypher... Wow!!!! Amazing... Just two quick questions..... Have you actually read NIST 800-155???? Could you tell us the implications of that spec when combined with the Sept DoD order ???? On the mobile front.... Any commentary on their work with trusted logic and the implications to armh????
Sincerely
Jas
Awk... Key term.... KNOWN DEVICES
Sincerely
Jas
Re TPMs being a niche market.... So msft upcoming windows 8 usage for security qualifies for a niche market..... Got it.
Sincerely
Jas
"I doubt TPMs will be in most phones". Let's see what comes out of Barcelona next week.... It might provide us with an interesting roadmap
Sincerely
Jas
Unix.... Once again you are mistaken.....the split you are talking about took place before it went into the levels of .25-.5
Sincerely
Jas
Re old wall street adage.... Buy LOW.... Sell HIGH
Sincerely
Jas
WD....re 2012 share price....Don't get me wrong....I'm ONLY concentrating on the DoD in regards to potential growth areas. Furthermore....I did not want to suggest that we would only be successful in winning only 1 out of 6 million seats....In fact...I strongly believe that we will play an important role in the vast majority of these seats. I just have a hard time believing that the DoD will be able to update ALL 6 million seats over the next 9-12 months. Furthermore...the PE that I used is VERY conservative IMHO.....Let's just take it one step at a time....We've won this US Army contract.....We know that there are currently pilots underway involving WEM that are directly related to the NIST 800-147/155 specs.....let's see how those pilots play out...
Sincerely,
Jas
hamster...re end of 2012....There are a number of very interesting things on our plate as WD recently mentioned.....but as far as I'm concerned....the one area in which there appears to be great urgency to adopt Trusted Computing is the DoD. I keep going back to NWs notes from the Sept. NSA/Trusted Computing show. NSA officials repeatedly mentioned 6 million seats that needed to be upgraded.....fromeverything I've read about Gen. Alexander....he is VERY CONCERNED about the security of our networks. As not only the chief of the NSA...but also the chief of US Cybercommand.....he is in a very unique position to actually put a plan into action. Therefore.....if we get a fraction of the number of seats mentioned at the show...then we will have a very good year indeed.
I've used the figure 1 million seats for 2012. At....50 dollars/seat ( I know some are pricing in higher per seat values) for a million seats puts us in the 50 million dollar in revenues for 2012 in regards to the DoD. Assuming that we generate the same (no growth) from last year's figures ...we can add another 40 million.( minus Safend) Now lets say our burn increases to 50 million.....then that would givwe us roughly 40 million in earnings. Assuming a 100 million share outstanding...that gives us .40 cents/share......throw in a rediculous P/E of 20....and one gets a 8 dollar share price. Personally....the P/E ratio we will be given is far north of the 20....but those are the numbers I work with when discussing Wave to others....Throw in a few of the wild cards....and...who knows
Sincerely,
Jas
