I'm gone. Like a steam locomotive rolling down the track, I'm gone, gone, and nothing's going to bring me back. I'm gone. 06/29/2023

I always thought using whataboutisms was lazy.
Too many glib misrepresentations, for me.
A distinction without a difference.
I first started paying attention to presidential politics with Tricky Dick Nixon. I don't need to waste electrons enumerating what an unmitigated disaster he was. He was President when I received my commission as an Officer in the Air Force. Oh how I remember his "Peace With Honor". That SonOfABitch.
Then came Gerald Ford, served as both Vice-President and President. Never elected to either position. He oversaw the fall of South Vietnam and presided over the worst economy in the four decades since the Great Depression.
Hoping for a real turn-around, we got Jimmie Carter. He allowed Iran to fall to the Ayatollahs, directed the abortive hostage rescue in the desert, gave away the Panama Canal, stagflation, car gasoline shortages/rationing and complained about the American people on television for an hour. Carter was the ultimate No-Op.
Then came Just-Say-No Ronnie Reagan. No one is really sure just when he lost his grip on reality but he surely did somewhere along the line. Nancy called the shots for quite a while. He did oversee the fall of the wall in Berlin and the economy was pretty good during his years (after 18% mortgages under Carter). Still, he would have been better off an actor. Wait! He was still acting!
Along comes Daddy Bush who we can thank for the Persian Gulf War and raising taxes when he swore he wouldn't. But what should we expect from a one-time CIA Director?
Damn, time for a Democrat to right the ship. Enter Billary Clinton who never saw a blue dress he could avoid. He oversaw the outsourcing of most of American industry abroad and was impeached but not removed from office for lying about his sexual escapades. But he DID establish the Clinton Foundation!
OK, let's try something different. How about Sonny Bush? Oh hell yeah! He got us into Afghanistan (remember that?) and Iraq. And the world financial collapse in 2008. I guess he wasn't different after all.
Now for something totally different. Barak Obama! He's black and slick. And black! And ushered in the Woke Era, Obamacare and division of the citizens. For two terms! That the ticket.
Then we get the Orange Trump. I can't add to what has already been said on this board. He was embarrassing.
And now Good Ole Joe Biden who seems to have checked out before he ran for office. His pullout from Afghanistan was overdue but really poorly executed. Many will die, some US citizens. It is clear he is not really plugged in when he speaks in public. But he does have a black VP! Who is a champion of women's and minority rights. Who hasn't said one thing about the women in Afghanistan who are ironing their burqas right about now.
And not one standing true for the rights of the individual. They all suck. All my adult life. A distinction without a difference.
Likewise, I'm not a big fan of false differences. They are all $hit and we all deserve much better.
Remember Trump's surprise withdrawal from Syria?
I am not a penny stock guy.
I am withholding my sympathy for Jensen. I am not sure he is not in cahoots with Xu, Mills & Company.
Thanks but I don't take medical advice from the web. I rely on my doctor who I trust. I do take D3 & C (have for years), zinc and elderberry extract. And the vaccine of course.
I got my 2nd Pfizer shot on April 7. If the recommendation is to get the booster 8 months after the last vaccination, I will be ready for the booster December 7. That's when I will get it if that is the recommendation.
I'm 69, am diabetic and have COPD. I'm not gonna mess with COVID. And spare me your bitchit crap.
He's likely in a "secure location" awaiting arraignment.
When you accuse someone of being a Nazi, you have lost the argument. Instantly.
Does intel go into detail with everything they do?
1. The answers to my questions are not in your "starter pack".
2. If Lebby is satisfied with the answers to my questions, why hasn't he addressed the issues publicly as he has many other issues. The issues I raise are very basic one if anyone wants Lebby to screw around with their process.
What does the polymer do to wafer yield at sort? To final yield at assembly? What are defect rates (not hand waving, actual data)?
How does it perform at ever decreasing geometries? How does it perform using EUV lithography? That will be an absolute necessity at 3 nm. Has it been evaluated on an Extreme Ultraviolet stepper on a production line in a fab? Has Lebby ever seen an EUV stepper? Hint: Global Foundries doesn't have any.
Running product in a fab isn't a science project. It must provide profitable and repeatable yield. I have not seen the company address any of this in quantifiable terms.
Whatever political gain for the US republiqans is mostly gone now and they want out and blame it on the democrats.
Warren Buffet wouldn't touch this ticker with Bill Gates' 10-foot pole.
Off now to get my 2nd AZ shot.
you ought to consider looking into the situation deeper than your partisan cheerleading.
There is no shelter from blame be it Republicans or Democrats. They are all complicit in the Afghanistan abortion. Just like Viet Nam. Only the insanity continued even longer this time.
Yes, we should have gone after Bin Laden and his army of rabid curs after 9/11. And we should have left once we liquidated Bin Laden May 2011. That was over 10 years ago.
We should have never tried to install a democratic government in a country ruled by tribal warlords for centuries.
Again we failed in understanding what the Taliban would do when we announced we were going to pull out, nor how fast they would do it. We thought we could negotiate with them, that they cared about what the rest of the world thought of them.
They are all inept. Beyond inept.
I was underground in an ICBM control center as a Launch Control Officer when we bugged out of Saigon in 1975, There was no 24/7 cable news but my crew and I watched every broadcast news account of the pull out. This was not only totally foreseeable but absolutely preventable.
I am disgusted.
Americans urged to ‘shelter’ as Taliban move in on Kabul airport
Most US embassy staffers in Afghanistan were awaiting evacuation at Kabul airport Sunday — which was “taking fire” as Taliban forces moved in amid the deteriorating situation, according to reports.
“The security situation in Kabul is changing quickly, including at the airport,” the US Embassy in Afghanistan said Sunday.
“Where are reports of the airport taking fire,” the announcement said. “Therefore we are instructing US citizens to shelter in place.”
The embassy urged the families of US citizens in the troubled nation to file forms for immigrant visas “as soon as possible.”
US Ambassador Ross Wilson is among those gathered at the capital city’s airport Sunday after Taliban forces entered Kabul earlier in the day, with Afghan forces quickly capitulating as US troops moved out in recent days, CNN said.
“People here woke up to the news in the morning that the Taliban was at the gates, just outside Kabul,” CNN correspondent Clarissa Ward said. “There was chaos in the streets.
US Ambassador of Afghanistan Ross Willson.
The US embassy urged the families of US citizens in Afghanistan to file forms for immigrant visas “as soon as possible.”
“People were double-parking, people were driving down the wrong side of the road, people were just absolutely panicked,” Ward said. “There was a run on bans. There were people waiting outside in long lines outside of the passport office.”
The US has been embroiled in a protracted war in Afghanistan since 2001, but former President Trump last year announced that American troops would pull out this year.
Last month, President Joe Biden announced he would pull out the troops by the end of this month, even as the Taliban had gained strength and violated terms of the withdrawal agreement.
Ariana Afghan Airlines.
Taliban forces have been seizing major hubs in Afghanistan since US troops began withdrawing from the region.
The country has since lapsed into chaos, with the anti-government forces taking control of major cities — including Kabul — with shocking speed.
Also Sunday, Afghan President Ashraf Ghani fled the country as it neared collapse.

All over the last few hours this morning:
Report on CBS that our Embassy in Kabul was setting up a "temporary" station at Kabul airport to process Americans and Afghanis friendly to US. The US ambassador was at the airport with the US flag ready to leave.
Just now, ABC reports the Kabul airport is under fire.
The S has HTF. I do not see how they will ever get everyone out of Kabul before it becomes a bloodbath.
Religion pays handsomely for Joel Osteen, Benny Hinn, James Baker and the like.
Not to mention the largest religiocorp of them all: The Roman Catholic Church.
Intel locks down all remaining TSMC 3nm production capacity, boxing out AMD and Apple

Watching a press conf. by Pentagon spokesman John Kirby. He is dancing around the questions, especially those dealing with parallels to the Fall Of Saigon in April 1975.
It is clear to me that we have lost control in Kabul despite his protestations to the contrary. The Taliban is reportedly 30 miles from Kabul. At least this is the party line. I think this may not end well. I hope I am wrong.
Behind the scenes America’s senior leaders have known, almost from the beginning, that the war was unwinnable, that the Afghan government was fatally corrupt, and that the Afghan security forces would never be up to the task. Instead of acknowledging reality, instead of coming clean to the American people, they hid the truth or outright lied about it. The result?
The mendacity deepened and expanded the U.S. failure. The lying pointlessly increased the number of American casualties the U.S. suffered, resulted in spending hundreds of billions that never had any chance of accomplishing a positive outcome, and, by covering up excessive corruption among Afghan leaders, gave tacit approval of them.
As awful as the security situation in Afghanistan is today, it was a disaster almost two decades in the making. The U.S. should have admitted the truth long ago and ended the war even before the conclusion of the Bush administration. Above all, America must permanently cease waging “nation-building” wars, restricting deployments abroad only to fights directly related to U.S. national security.

You didn't piss me off, the events did.
Likewise, I was in a military corps in the middle of a large university. Had to wear the uniform at all times. Civilians hurled rotten tomatoes and eggs out the dorm windows as we went to class.
When graduated, ended up in an ICBM control center as a launch officer. No tomatoes and eggs there. Only TV dinners.
I don't give a damn about Republicans. I don't give a damn about Democrats. Because none of them give a damn about me.
What I do give a damn about are the thousands of men and women in our armed forces who were killed or physically and mentally injured in our little Afghanistan escapade. Just as I gave a damn about my own comrades in arms in Viet Nam.
I give a damn about the 15,000 Afghanis and their families who willfully helped our troops. We have only got 1,000 out by now. Those 15,000 and their families are still waiting on their paperwork to clear. They are all as good as dead.
46 years later and our "leaders" haven't learned a goddamned thing. Republicans and Democrats alike. We have been in Afghanistan for almost 20 years.
Fu¢k the Republicans and the Democrats. And the horses they rode in on. They are all complicit.
I do not habitually curse. But this really pisses me off.
Our diplomats are bugging out of Kabul. The city is about to fall to the Taliban. The State Dept. & Pentagon are downplaying this. They remember Saigon on April 29, 1975 and know a lot of us still remember, too. A week ago they said it could happen in 6 months. Days ago they said 3 months. Today the fall of Kabul is imminent. I knew it would happen fast once we decided to "end" the war. This is a full bug-out. History repeats and our leaders seem clueless to the fact. Welcome back to the stone age, Afghanistan. It was always going to end this way.
why haven't they made a deal?
I am an Intel retiree and have owned INTC since 1982.
The years under CEO Krzanich were horrible, The new CEO, Pat Gelsinger, dates back to my time at the company. He is a very capable fellow and understands what it takes to make Intel great again. But Intel is a huge organization and it will take time. I lightened my exposure to INTC a bit during Krzanich's tenure but have held since then.
Why isn't there a buying interest from people involved with testing the LWLG equipment (thor (sic) by the people wanting to buy LWLG.
MY $1,000 DOLLAR AN HOUR LAWYERS
IT'S NOTHING NEW!!!
Thanks!
Minutes ago, the "Recently Active Boards" refreshed with what I think is a new iHub format that I've seen on other pages for a few weeks.
No problem with the new format EXCEPT the boards and messages I have already read no longer display in a different color. This makes navigation less easy for sure.
Just FYI.
WAIT UNTIL I POST VIDEOS AND PICTURES OF US ALL HAVING THE TIME OF OUR LIFE ON MY PRIVATE JET!!! IT WILL MAKE MANY AABB NON-BELIEVERS SQUIRM WITH ENVY!!!
why the drop? after the recent pr?
