Most cool web site, could you post it on his message board. What I was thinking was X_Dev would reduce the risk involved. His present thinking is investing all the money at the beginning of the quarter for each stock. I was thinking X_DEV would give a finer control to it.
Hi Myst, have you been over to here yet.
http://www.investorshub.com/boards/board.asp?board_id=1616
Ken, may or may not have something. The question will be will it hold true. He is basically looking at historical data to see if a stock has repeatable best quarters, and then Invests in that quarter. I would think it would be compatible with X_DEV.
I just got he's example chart setup here.

Be sure to check with your ISP about If your service comes with web space for your own personal web page. Most ISP's give you 5 to 10 megs of space. But they have to set it up, and they don't do that until you ask them to. However you cannot use it for commercal purposes, if you want to do that you have to pay them extra.
Here is my ISP and what they offer for 14.95 a month dialup.
http://new.veiinternet.com/
Hi Ken, I got it uploaded. Here is the url.
http://users.vei.net/lostcowboy/RQexample2.gif
As you can see, if you click on the link, you get a new window, with the chart. Now then if you want to have the chart in your header. You have to go to your board. http://www.investorshub.com/boards/board.asp?board_id=1616
As you are the chairman, you should see the link, Manage. Click on it. You now get taken to your own special place, here you can do all sorts of things, lots of them, I don't know how. Just ask Matt. The thing you want to do now is click on edit iBox. This is where you change what people read and see when they first come to your board. If you want the chart at the top, you put the special command first, if you want it at the bottom, put it last.
Here is the special command, [chart ] [/chart ]. Be sure to remove the spaces to get it to work. Also you have to remove the http:// , if you leave it the web server gets confused, when it see's that it thinks you want too post a link. So this is what you should have.
[chart ]users.vei.net/lostcowboy/RQexample2.gif[/chart ] The reason you see the command and not the chart is I left the spaces in. Now we will take the spaces out and you will see the chart.

Here is the ftp program I like SendtoFTP. http://www.pclightning.com/index.html Once you install it, you use your windows explorer, go to the folder where you have your files stored, select them, then right click, go to send to, and click on SendtoFTP. SendtoFTP pops up, put in the info and password that your ISP gave you and you are done. Set it and forget it.
Hi BBgold, try CacheSentry. http://www.mindspring.com/~dpoch/enigmatic/ In CacheSentry set the Cache size to a smaller size.
Hi Ken, After looking at the spread sheets that you sent to me, I am not surprised that mutual funds did not show up good using your system. The individual stocks should null out the gains and losses of the other stocks, and you end up with something close to the gain, losses of the market index. Have you started looking into the ETF's The people on the AIM boards are interested in ETF's right now, and could use the info. http://www.investorshub.com/boards/board.asp?board_id=949
Hi Conrad, some people have trouble with higher math, and need to be told these things. I mean if you just saw 2-2 and was told that one of the teams had gained a point, how would you know which 2 to add the one to. Both 2's look the same. Even I could get lost trying to figure that out. LOL
Hi Ken, Just got finished looking at the spread sheets you sent to me. Very interesting. But I think we need more info on the investing method. Yes I can see that it does seem that some quarters do much better than other quarters do, and it seems that the data is repeatable.
Question, what data source did you use, and what type of data, daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly.
Question, did you use stops, and how did you set them up. If you did get stopped out, was that it for that quarter, or did you try to jump back in.
Question, did you throw all the money in at the beginning of the quarter, or did you put in one third each month?
It may have something to do with how much current the device is drawing.
Yes, it is a shame that Ihub got bought out! But look on the bright side, we should get to see more of Francine. Maybe she will work on my teeth. http://www.funphone.com/canatout/people4.html
That's where your finger hits the U instead of the Y. I bet hot lingo would catch it. http://www.hotlingo.com/
Hi Tom, didn't you say somewhere to keep commission to a small percentage of the buy/sell amount? I think you said 2 percent. So if it costs you $10 a trade, your smallest trade should be $500. Which is why you normally set up your AIM account with $10,000.
Hi jimbob, I think everyone has their eye on the TV. See what Tom thinks on this. #msg-860220
HI all, a while back, someone was having a problem with popup windows, using the Windows Messenger Service.Note this is not the MSN Messenger program. Here is a web site that tells how to disable it. http://www.net-integration.net/popups.html
Hi Ken, hope you do well with your board. I have to be honest and say I am still not sure what Revolving Quarterly Reports are.In this last report on TSH. You have Nov-Jan 60%, is that adding each Nov-Jan period to the Nov-Jan period of the next year for seven years? Or is it something else. You may want to check out this site and see how it compares to your calculations.

About posting charts, if the chart is already on a web server, most times you can just put the web address between [chart ] [/chart ]As you can see I put a space in [chart ], do not put a space in yours, this was just to show you how. Also you must not use http:// in the address, as Investorshub.com's server use's that to identify a link like the one above. Most of the time your ISP gives you up to 5 or 10 meg's of disk space to use for your own personal web page. A lot of the guy's use that to store their charts at.
Say Denise, they must be having real problems there. Ether they deleted all the pictures, or they have a bandwith limit that was exceeded. I cant get any pictures to show up.
I think the answer you don't want to hear is un-install Norton AV. You can then install one of the free ones.
Jibes, sent excel file to your yahoo address. Let me know what you think.
Hi Dpb5! and Susie924, In IE, click on tools, then click on internet options, click on the advance tab. Under multimedia you should see a checkbox for playing sounds in web pages. That should be checked. If it is checked, her sound card drivers could be corrupted, and may need to be reinstalled. See if she can play the sound file on her computer with another program. What type of sound file is she trying to hear?
Hi Arkieboy1, on routine computer maintenance, first delete all the files you plan on deleting, then do the (Thorough Scan Disk)that looks for disk surface errors, then do the disk defragment.
Hi Toofuzzy,
1)While the stock price is high, would be the best time to issue new stock, for the bond fund. If they keep the new money in cash, or short term bonds, then if interest rates go back up, the bond fund price will not change as much as if they had not issued new stocks. This is their way of re-balancing the fund. Once they think interest rates are topped out again, then they should take this money and buy long term bonds.
2)First, if they think that interest rates are as low as they will go, they should be selling all their high interest rates long term bonds now for a premium. With the extra money, they would ether go to cash or short term bonds. Two, they may not be able to keep the pay out the same.
3)If rates go up then the stock price goes down, The price of the bond fund should be what you would get if you sold all the bonds today. Note if this is a closed end fund the price can very some from the NAV.
PS: How goes the Synchrovest?
Hi susie, when you use AOL, is it using the cable, or is it dialing on the modem? If AOL is dialing the modem you could still have a cable problem. If AOL is using the cable, then the cable is good. Does your cable modem have any lights that say it is receiving data, and do they flicker when you are web browsing.
When you say that you can go only to a few web site in IE, it may be that IE is just showing you the web sites that it has stored on the hard drive.
Do you know how your cable is connected to the computer, is it through a network card, or do you have a cable connected to your USB port?
You say that at first you had a cable problem, and now they say they fixed it. Did they come to your house to fix it, and did they test both the tv cable and the computer cable box? If they did not test both they cannot say it is working. I have read story's about some cable company's that keep the tv cable technicians separate from the cable modem technicians. I have heard that sometimes the cable line amplifier will be good enough for cable tv, but will have to much noise for the cable modem. You may have to insist on a cable modem tech come out and find out why the connection is not working properly. It could be the outside cable, the cable modem, the settings inside the computer( the control panel network settings). It could be, if you just installed AOL while the cable was down, that aol changed the settings. I have read that sometimes if you power down the modem for a while that it will reset it, but call and talk to the cable modem tech first, before doing that.
Hopefully some of the other guys can help more as I have never had a cable modem. This web site may help also http://www.speedguide.net/
Hi Tinman, if you know the web site, you can try doing a search on the net. Odds are high that someone else has had this problem. Both spybot and ad-aware are very good at removing ad programs. My preacher friend had a similar problem. Right after he got AOL, he got a email for Philippine girls, his wife, being from the Philippines, opened it, got taken to a web site, and got a long distant dialer installed. By the time he got to the computer the damage was done. The home page was changed and he had pop ups, and it would reinstall its self. So he called me for help. I got lucky in that they used the same icon for all the programs. If I remember, it put shortcuts in the start menu, start/program menu, and the quick launch tool bar. It also added the web page to the IE favorites. If I remember right it put a browser helper in the (windows\downloaded program files) directory. That is the directory for browser helpers. And the last thing it did was to put a run command in the registry to run the install program upon computer start up. At the time I did not know of spybot and ad-aware. So I did it the hard way. I deleted all the shortcuts and the browser helper. Then I restarted the computer, and had the son of a gun reinstall its self. So I knew I had a run on start up program somewhere. I went out on the web and found this web site. http://www.pacs-portal.co.uk/startup_index.htm They try to keep track of start up programs, and which ones you don't need to have running all the time. They did have a link to (start up control programs), the link is bad right now. Here is the one I used, http://www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml . There are several free programs out there. This one shows you the programs icon and directory path. That is how I found the install program. I understand that some of these programs lock down the home page so you can't change it back. I understand there is a way to fix that.
TC posted this web site earler. http://www.spywareinfo.com/articles/hijacked/
OT, Say Conrad, I think this street is right up your alley. http://home.earthlink.net/~marutgers/index.html
OT, how about a game of battleship? http://home.iae.nl/users/franklin/battleships/index2.htm
Hi Steve, after reading and following the links to the full report, at the bottom of the report is the link to their web site. http://www.systematic-investor.com/ The web site is free, but you have to sign up. Note you need cookies enabled.
I also found this firewall program called Outpost. http://www.agnitum.com/ Note I have not tested it yet.
Ot, nope I don't think that is it. I used diffrent numbers. very interesting though.
Here is a ad blocking program that I just found. http://www.adshield.org/
Interesting www.freakyanimals.com, won't let me see the picture by its self. I had to go to the web page. http://www.freakyanimals.com/pic.shtml?0107.jpg
Hi Nemer, you said It seemed (subjective at best, observation) that the first boot after new install took quite a lengthy time. It may be time to defrag your hard drive.
Hi rossi, I think I know what is happening with the text. Click on view, then click on text size, try adjusting the text size there. If that doesn't work. try posting the link, and we can check it out for you.
Hi Rossi, I know just what you mean, yes macromedia flash player is becoming the number one program for displaying ads. Here is my view point, I hate popup ads and flash ads. I have long been using CookieCop 2 to block the popup windows.
http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,4149,6244,00.asp
Recently I have found a second free program called NO! FLASH.
http://www1.simtel.net/pub/pd/61560.html
My recommendation is go ahead and install macromedia flash player, that way you get rid of that popup. Then get CookieCop 2 and NO! FLASH. Both programs work well together. If you want to buy a program, I saw one at walmart that said it would block Flash ads.
Not sure but it is worth a try.
Say Excel, check out http://www.coolmath4kids.com/index.html for your kids. I really like the lemonade stand, recommend you play it first by yourself, then when you have the hang of it, show it to the kids.
Hi excel, when I clicked on that link I ended up at http://www.msn.com/ which is where you should end up at. I think what Microsoft is doing is keeping track of how many people are using the msn home page. Also some times I have been sent to the update website instead of the home page. Some times programs you install change where IE goes on start up. Normally it goes to your home page, but it can be different. I think you have to fix that the hard way, by using regedit. I think I heard of a program that can fix it, but cannot remember the name.
Hi Densie, I think I found the problem with your link. You had plum.gif, it should have been plum.png. This should be your chart.
