Some VOLUME would be nice. Jeeze! Today's trading appears to be "By Appointment Only" LOL!
I don't expect VOLUME like that Van Halen concert I went to a few decades ago though. 5th row, on the floor, and I couldn't hear shit for a couple of days LOL!
jd757, I'm not experienced enough to answer your question. With that said, I know that there are End of Day "Late Prints" but don't fully understand what that means. Regarding the intra-day Dark Pool, I do look at the ChartExchange website in an effort to TRY to understand what is happening.
No Idea.....
Rocking Jack, according to Chart Exchange, the Dark Pool (Off Exchange) trading is not unusually high today so far.....
https://chartexchange.com/symbol/nasdaq-lwlg/exchange-volume/
Today's trading volume is pretty anemic so far, but I suspect some of this trading might be institutions continuing to accumulate. Institutions take little nibbles here and there, to avoid driving the pps up IMHO.
vein, I'm down over 40% on this investment at the moment. Would you like some Cheese and Crackers to go with your Whine? Your options are to Hold or Fold. BTW, call me Carl, as Carl in New Mexico. Carlin was a politically incorrect, but hilarious Comedian. LOL!
vein, I have to wonder WHY Blackrock and Vanguard appear to continue accumulation, even though it seems BOTH of them are underwater on their cost-basis....

Think1st, I have NO idea how accurate this website is, but IF it IS close, it appears BlackRock's investment in LWLG is estimated to be around $8.64/share. Vanguard's cost basis is estimated to be around $10.01 if I'm reading this right. I find it interesting, given that both BlackRock and Vanguard had added to their positions recently. I can't provide a direct link to the data, so you will have to fiddle around with the website:
VANGUARD GROUP INC History 8,386,612 41,765,328 0.00% 0.00% 2253 264,387 7.20% Q4 2021 10.01

BLACKROCK INC. History 8,591,097 42,783,664 0.00% 0.00% 2569 639,196 7.38% Q4 2021 8.64

Dunno why they'd be adding recently, given their current guesstimated cost basis:

shazam, NOBODY knows and any speculation on when a squeeze might happen is exactly that.... SPECULATION. Some investors have been predicting a "Squeeze" on the near-horizon for the past couple of years. Others have offered charting TA that predicted break-outs that didn't happen. No disrespect to the investors who offered their speculative opinions, but the reality is NOBODY KNOWS. IMHO, TA can be useful with revenue-generating companies who offer forward guidance, but we aren't quite there yet... I believe that IF/WHEN Lightwave reaches a point that they are posting revenues, with forward guidance, we will get Analyst Coverage. THAT should be a game-changer IMHO....
vein, No, what is brutal, is discovering this stock when it was trading in the $10 range, but still listed as OTC, riding it to $20 and NOT selling. (That is EXACTLY my situation) I bought more on the way up and more on the way down as finances permitted. I'm not having fun at the moment, because I paid quite a bit more for my current holdings than the shares are worth now. That said, I have no regrets. All I can do is sit and wait. I could sell now at a significant loss, but that isn't going to happen. Penny-longs could sell right now and still show a gain..... Lebby has a remarkable reputation to protect and while I've never met the man, I do trust him. I think investors who chronically complain should try to find some worthwhile DD to share on this forum. My own background is in jewelry manufacturing and real estate, so I really can't find my ass with both hands when it comes to this industry. That said, I've shared worthwhile content relevant to this investment on numerous occasions. Give it a try! BTW, OFC and PIC International are on the near-horizon before the ASM. Think about THAT!
Shazam, I'm guessing that certain penny-longs will quit complaining if we get back above $10. That would even put me above my own cost basis, given that I arrived at this party late. Getting back into the $20 range would make me a very happy camper, but I do NOT expect that to happen by the ASM. I believe it was Think1st who said something like: "Overnight Success Takes Years". I'm guessing that if LWLG works out the way many of us believe, this is still a multiple-year long term hold IMHO..
It will be interesting to see how Mark Lutkowitz covers this. I've been following him on LinkedIn and historically, he seems to be pretty neutral when it comes to what Lightwave is working on.
DEI and ESG are BOTH misguided, counterproductive policies IMHO. The Private Sector has a handle on what works and is effective. Even without these policies, the US has been effectively reducing our "Carbon Footprint" over the past couple of decades.
On the DEI topic, it seems that some people get preference, whether they are qualified or not, just for the sake of "Equity" IMHO. I have a problem with that. Nobody ever gave me a "Participation Trophy". It was always based upon "MERIT".
I'm convinced that Lightwave qualifies for CHIPS funds, but they don't need it and they probably don't want to deal with the "Strings Attached".
I need to step off of my soapbox now. I hear the alarm going off in the nuclear reactor thingy in my kitchen. Apparently Dinner is Ready LOL!
This article is a year old, but I re-read it this morning in an effort to understand the different technologies. It was time well spent IMHO. It is a given that things in the industry have changed in the last year, but I continue to believe Lightwave is probably in the driver's seat.
OFC is in two weeks.
PIC international is in six weeks.
ASM is in 10 weeks.
Each of these events is an opportunity for Lightwave to start talking about things they haven't been talking about....
" The Integration of Materials in Photonic Chips "

vein, I encourage you to sit tight and see if the company delivers on the "Ramp to Commercialization" in 2024. I recognize the fact that you are a penny-long who is experiencing diminished paper gains on LWLG. In contrast, I got to this party late almost 3 years ago, and my ability to "Average Down" is non-existent at the moment. I'm currently underwater by over $3/share, but hold my paper losses with optimism. Your perceived losses are currently a reduction in equity/gains. In my case, my perceived losses are actual cash out of pocket. IMHO, neither of us should consider selling. I believe things on the horizon will change things. We'll see......
The bottom line, is that Wall Street is a Casino and we've put our chips on the table..... Quit complaining and wait and see or sell...
Think, I believe the testing lab you are thinking of was Keysight. I think they had to modify their equipment using the Perk to measure more accurately.
I have some thoughts on that topic, given that I'm about 42 miles from the southern border and have a Front Row Seat. I guess I could leave my ID in the US and go to Juarez. Coming back, I might walk on sand or swim, but I might declare "Asylum" status and demand a phone, housing and a stipend.....
Think, I'm still missing your cryptic point, but the psychic network is down in my "Hood".
X, I'm guessing we may NEVER get details on any Lightwave/DARPA activities, because I suspect it might be Classified info. I get Google Alerts on numerous topics daily and that is why the DARPA thing popped up in my feed.
I'm very knowledgeable when it comes to real estate and jewelry manufacturing, but that knowledge is of little use to me in this investment LOL! The semiconductor industry is above my payscale....
I keep watching for new developments in the NIST Collaboration that was announced on 11/17/2022. We may never know......
https://www.nist.gov/news-events/news/2022/11/nists-chip-calibration-methods-advance-semiconductor-research
Lewrock, I wish my bio looked as good as ANY one of these people.
https://www.lightwavelogic.com/about-us/leadership/
Think, Post Poacher LOL! No worries though, we just need to make sure people have an understanding of Lightwave's potential... 8^)
Red, I don't know where they'd get the shares for a hostile takeover. Institutions own a bit over 28% of the shares and retail holds the majority of the rest. Of the retail shares, I believe most of them are owned by investors on the other side of the pond. It is also my belief that Lightwave has the "Poison Pill" option as well. I think a Hostile Takeover would be a monumental, difficult task to achieve, but I'm no expert on the topic. Where would the shares come from?
Marco, you said:
"Eventually LWLG will get bought out and making financial companies familiar with the company might be worthwhile."
I'm still not too excited about any buyout discussion for a few years. In my mind, Lightwave has other potential vertical offerings that aren't even in the spotlight yet. IF Lightwave can commercialize the future offerings, selling out too soon might leave a huge chunk of cash on the table IMHO.
A few years down the road, Lightwave might be the company making the acquisition, as opposed to being acquired.... Only time will tell...
Not much to talk about here today, so I thought I'd share this article I found for feedback. KC, X, etc..., is this something Lightwave might be involved in? I don't recall if CMOS is part of their R&D objectives, but the DARPA component caught my eye. This article was published yesterday:
" DARPA-FUNDED WIRELESS COMMUNICATION BREAKTHROUGH TAKES DATA TRANSMISSION TO ANOTHER DIMENSION… LITERALLY."

Lurker, I got the Ouija Board and Crystal Balls back from my Ex Wife. She'd like to move back in, but that isn't going to happen.
Maybe you should read up on the company history and come to your own conclusions. Do your OWN DD....
Red, I remain hopefully optimistic. Outside of the markets we KNOW the company is working on lay additional applications they aren't even talking about yet.... We'll see.....
The revised spreadsheet shows a slightly smaller revenue forecast, but I'm good with that. I'd much rather look at hypothetical, but realistic, conservative figures than pie in the sky HYPE-othetical numbers. This investment is speculation until proven otherwise. Holding and Waiting.....
Hammer, You joined this forum in July, 2023. In that timeframe, you've only posted 4 times, NONE of which offered any DD on your part. I'm adding you to my iggy list.
vein, it is a fact that we currently have NADA, while the company is sitting on NDAs. We have little to go on, other than past PRs for this investment that seems to remain in the Industry Spotlight. The rest is speculation, but that seems to be the way investments work. Numerous investors have come across "Clues" as to what is going on behind the scenes. Dots are not connected until the company says so. The current silence is deafening, but I'm holding. Lebby has a remarkable reputation to protect. We still have two conventions to get through before the ASM and new milestones are generally announced to coincide with the Industry shows...
Gotta step out now to make sure my E-Bike is charged. I don't want to lose my paper-route job LOL!
I have to wonder if this research involves the Perk. We know that LIDAR is a possible vertical offering on the horizon for Lightwave and we also know that Lightwave has ties to Ghent/IMEC.
Photonics Research Group (Ghent University - imec) is looking for a new PhD researcher with excellent vision to work on new LiDAR architectures in the u/MSCActions NITELIDAR project. https://lnkd.in/emMsUDUT
Spartex, yep... and Natural Gas is NOT going away in our lifetime. Wind, Solar and EVs are a misguided folly. This, coming from Me, a guy who put a 36 panel, 8.6Kw solar system on my own roof. On a Utility Scale, we need Sustainable, Reliable power.....
I haven't been to the DC area in decades. The Smithsonian has always been a favorite destination. Especially the Museum of Natural History and the Air and Space Museum. We have a LOT of space and defense tech in my neck of the woods. NASA and White Sands are less than 40 minutes from my house and then there is Los Alamos... I've known many people who could not talk about what they did for a living over the decades, including my on father....
"Concern Grows Over Data Centers, Power Lines in Loudoun"
I have two nephews who live in Loudoun County. Grid stability is a growing concern.

There has been a lot of positive and negative response to the 10-K and associated shareholder update. Like most of you, I wish there was more substance to it. That said, I continue to think the company may be sitting on information that will be announced during the two upcoming conferences. I anticipate reliability testing and scalability will be addressed when Lightwave has the attention of the industry. THAT is what these conferences are for. I also expect a contract announcement or two before the ASM. It is a given that negotiations are dynamic and companies and their attorneys will milk it for all they can during the negotiation process. We'll see....
matt, I will never have an Alexa in my house. It is bad enough owning an Android phone. All of these gadgets are an opportunity for nefarious eavesdropping....
juenke, transformers have been a concern in the US for a number of years now. before the AI topic compounded the issue. Most US transformers were coming from China. Trump banned the import of Chinese transformers out of National Security concerns. The concern being, that they might give China the capability of shutting the grid down. More recently, concerns about our shipping ports has come to light.
Gotta check out for a bit now, to recharge my EV with electricity powered by Natural Gas... LOL!
Thanks Lewrock. Having worked with many polymers in my past career, I was wondering about the shelf life topic.
It baffles me how a Modulator like model jLpTnG made it out of the testing lab. That Modulator appears to be defective with a serious virus. I think the Lab Techs need to improve their screening techniques before approving acceptable Modulators. That particular Modulator appears to be infected with a very serious Malware program....
Lewrock, I agree. I also continue to wonder if the Broadcom interview I posted the other day offers any clues. They seemed to be covering the right topics in my mind. One of the many things that stuck in my mind, is that Broadcom doesn't want to be a "Crutch" for a developing company. It is obvious they don't want any "JV Players" on their team.
This comment by Dr. Lebby got my attention:
" They are asking to see more reliability data and the ability to produce at scale, as well as to ensure that we can sustain a long-term partnership."
I'm not concerned about any sustainable partnership issues. Lightwave has plenty of cash on hand to sustain operations to 7/2025 and the company has NO debt, as they negotiate commercial partnerships this year.
I have to wonder if Broadcom is one of the companies Lightwave is working with who needs more reassurance. I'm not suggesting that Broadcom is currently in Lebby's inner-circle yet, but we KNOW that Broadcom is on his "To-Do List".
